Hi Im in Dunedin and have an FX Cutlas 22 which i want to get a supressor for. I believe you have produced one of these previously (so have not bothered putting the extra info down). I dont know much about supressors or mussle breaks, but just want something to quieten it a bit so i can pop off more than one bunny before they run away. What would the timeframe for production/deliver and cost be? Thanks for your assistance. Regards Rob

I read your policy on making suppressors only for sale in New Zeland. I have a gamo Bigcat 1200 and a Gamo Hunter 1250. Would make one for my springer air rifles. If not could you recommend someone here in the United States that could do it for me. Someone that does good quality work. I am in the military and when I am deployed my Commander lets me thin out the mice and rat problem. Now because of were we are at I have to be quite about it so no one is alerted. If you could help I would appreciate it. Thanks, Sonny

hello Rev Rog My name is Darren I was given your details via the nz airgunners forum. I am soon to own a Diana Model 54 recoiless springer in .177 cal Im not yet aware of the barrel dimensions that you have asked for as my air rifle doesnt arrive for 5 more weeks but if it's ok I'd like to enquire as to a rough price on purchasing a suppressor/muzzel break. I like the look of the model you have on your website that was fitted to the Norica springer, especially in black as I'm a hunter. If you have time and are able to give me an approximate cost so I can save towards it before contacting you I'd appreciate that and also could you please inform me as to wheather you would require my air rifle in order to build a muzzel break or can I just have my barrel threaded at any gun shop as I am situated in Otago. I dont know if it is relevant or not but the diana 54 like the diana 52 has a shroud over a skinny barrel, I can forward you the required dimensions once it arrives. I hope this all makes sense Regards Darren Braines 021 181 6865

Hey Rog, A while back (maby 4 months) I contacted you about fitting a supressor to my Crosman 2250b, but never got around to it because I got made redundant. Well... now Im back on track, and have a new, better job:) The 2250 has now been sold, but I see the new owner occasionly, and I have told him to contact you if he wants a supressor. The reason i am contacting you is because since i last spoke to you, I got my FAL, and now have a couple of rimfires. I have a CZ 452 in .17HMR. Im thinking about getting this threaded for a silencer, but not totally sure yet. If I do, I would be interested in one of your masterpieces, and probably a cap to screw on the barrell when Im not using the silencer. I will cointact you later on about this. My other gun is a chinese copy of my CZ, but in .22lr (Norinco JW-15A) I picked it up cheap off trademe with the intention of using it for plinking, as the rounds are a lot cheaper than .17hmr. It came with a cheap silencer, which crapped itself on my first outing with it at the range last sunday. I found out after, that apparantly those cheap cans are only built to withstand sub-sonics. I want to get a new silencer for the .22lr. I just want something cheap, as I dont want to spend much on this rifle (Il save that for the CZ) Im not sure on the thread size, but I can find out if I need to. Id assume its a fairly standard thread for silencers. I think it came threaded from the factory. It just needs to be black in colour too. So at this stage I just want a price for one for the Norinco .22, but I will contact you when I need one fot my CZ (I think it will be a good idea, az the .17s are pretty loud as you'll probably know) Sorry about the long stories... Cheers, Jared.

paulden@iinet.net.au

just an initial inquiry. I have a marlin 917 in 17HMR and was wondering if you could make a SLIP ON muzzle brake / barrel compensator. Not a silencer as I cant have one in Australia.... It would be great if it was able to be slipped over the barrel and held in place by the screw that holds the front sight in place. Something like the VOLQUARSTEN ruger barrel comensator that slips on. The calibre doesnt really warrant it but it would look good. My barrel is a matt black finish but a high SS finish would be fine. Hi Roger, you've been recommended to me by a St John ambulance workmate (former army armorer). I'm after a full over-barrel suppressor for a .243 Winchester Mohawk. I ideally want the full barrel so it both functions and also retains a flowing shape from receiver to muzzle without an increase in length. I'm unsure of the measurements you need, and it looks (to my uneducated eyes) that some of the stock (an aftermarket synthetic McMillan) will have to be shaved off. Can you get back to me with some options please. cheers Ryan

Barrel length 410mm Barrel width 15.50mm Barrel width just behind thread 20.30mm. There appears to be a tapered sleeve that is bolted onto the barrel. I use this rifle to train with inside with a high power scope. It would be good to get it to atleast as quiet as my 10m FWB air rifle so I dont have to turn the music up loud!! Thank you Rod Hill

I am not interested in muzzlebrakes etc. My rifle is a Savage .22lr MarkII left handed and I was wondering if you could give a quote to build something along the lines that I am after. Barrel is blued so a black aliminium suppressor would be fine. I look for to hearing form you. Regards Paul Busing Thames NZ

I am just curious to know what the recoil flip would/can be with one of your custom brakes. Noise isnt so much of a factor for me, Im more concerned with the recoil reduction. I would prefer something in a matte finish as opposed to the mirror (I pig hunt in the dark). Oh, and the price. Like you said in your promo, I'd rather have a custom piece than cookie-cutter. Thank You Much, Christopher Struck Arlington, TX

Hi, After a pricing on your .22LR Suppressors, Had two bad experiences with silencers. Manders, accuracy went from 1/2" groups to over 8" !! and hushpower , lasted only 100 rounds. Was impressed with website Rifle is standard Norinco JW15, barrel already threaded Cheers Jared

Hi Rog. I have what I think is Darwins old FXT12 PCP air rifle with the large black supressor on it. It really looks a lot like the one you have in the photo on your website.I don't use it as it affects the balance too much for my target and FT shooting, but I'm wondering, would it work on my Remington 597 .22 ? All I have on it at the moment if a Manders suppressor that came with rifle, and the rifle is threaded. If not, what's your recommendation for an uber-silent mixed with a dash of economic practicality please ? On a side note, I (briefly) was one of your volunteer mods on the forum. Do you still go out for regular possum trips ? Thanks. Kyle

Chris Connop (the Kid) put me on to you, He reckoned that you are making suppressors for $100 - $200 each. Im after 3 overbarrel suppressors for a SL8 (5.56), M305 (7.62) and a Tikka Super Varment (7.62). What sort of price would I be looking at for the 3 of them? Also im in East Timor till the end of the year, i can see this being a problem with the dorp off the firearms. Cheers Dan

Hey Roger. Thanks for the comment on my Gamo CFX auction on Trade Me! Hopefully a comment from someone involved in the industry will boost interest from potential buyers. As I said in my answer on Trade me, i dont need a supressor for my Logun PCP, however I mite be interseted in one for my Crosman 2250. I dont want to spend too much, as it too will probably be up for sale soon, as the Logun out performs it in most ways, but I would like to get it to a certain level of modification before I sell it (even though I probably wont get back what I spent on it) It does not need to be super high performance, just quieten it down a little bit. It would need to be as light as possible, so it doesnt upset the balance of this light weight gun. It will be on the end of a 24" long barrell. I would also need an adaptor for the barrell. I am unable to give the measurements of the barrell right now, as Im at work, but it would be great if you could give me some indication of the price so I can decide weather it would be worth doing before I sell it or not. Also, Im applying for a FAL today, so I may be in need of s supressor for a Rimfire at some point soon aswell. Cheers, Jared

Hi Rev Rog What design do you suggest for an FX Typhoon .22 with a floating barrel. I would like to keep it as light as possible but minimising the "ping" is the main goal. Hunting is more the purpose of this rifle instead of target shooting. If you can estimate a price as well please. Cheers Craig

Hey mate, The other day i picked up a Daisy Powerline 790, CO2 pellet gun in .177. I've actually just had the barrel fall out of it! This may end up being fortuitous, it inspired me to contact you. the current barrel is 9mm OD, .177 clean bore and 211mm long. the muzzle protrudes about 4mm out of the "slide". So my question for you is: would you remake a barrel for this that is longer and threaded, then a small supressor unit (about 100mm long by 25mm dia) to fit that barrel? The gun weighs about 1.2kg anyway so wieght is not a big issue. The supressor would need to be finished in matt black, powdercoated or anodised. If you are willing please advise the cost. thanks much .mitch

hello i just dicovered your website and let me congratulate you on your high level of professionalism. i am an airgun enthusiast and i've been experimenting on home made silencers for quite a few years. just made a 20 cm long / 31 mm diameter silencer with a 1/2"unf female muzzle anchor for my hatsan at44-10 and qb 78 moded pcp airguns (4.5 mm).i used the same specs as the logun QGS when it comes to the inside (big-small-big chambers+felt all around etc.)i got an amazing result(sound wise) with a 6.5mm hole drilled in the endcap but unfortunately the pellets deviated too much compared to before( without the silencer) and resetting the windage and elevation wasnt enough. so i drilled an 8.5 mm hole in the endcap and got good accuracy but the sound became a bit louder... what do you think the diameter of the center hole in the endcap should be for a 4.5mm caliber pcp airgun? and the diameter of the one in the baffles between the spacers? thx in advance for your advice ben

Dear Sir, I am a weapon enthousiastic as well, I loved your photographs, high class art you are making, truelly wonderfull. I myself am daring to kick of a project like this as well, and as for a starter i picked out a BRNO .22lr rifle. The mounting should be the biggest issue if i ( and i will ) not choose to damage the barrel by tapping it with a new wire. So i came up with a tight fit around the first cm of the barrel, and some sort of clamps ( same used for example to hold your scope ) fitted tightly around the centre of the barrel. This i thought out, and should be managable. But i would like to gain some more information from someone whom is specialised in this sort of work. I saw several manuals and drawings of the inside of the supressor, but by seeing this.. my logic about these is confusing me. Could you help me with a good detailed cut through plan ? Looking forward hearing from you soon. Best Regards, Nick

However, I'm ready to start looking at making the leap to a more professional level set up, like the ones that you have crafted on your website (very well-done site I might add). I'd really like some information on your ordering process as well as a possible price guide for the corresponding applications for my rifle. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Hi, I'd like to investigate getting a suppressor made for my Ruger 77/17 17HMR. I'd like something built for maximum suppression (both for the shooter and target) and was thinking about the possibility of getting an over-barrel unit made to get the best suppression as well as not putting the weight too far forward. The gun is already quite heavy to hold when standing. Questions: - Is the over-barrel idea a good one (or is the sonic crack going to make it not worth the trouble)? - Can you make it cylindrical rather than tapered to the barrel (a personal preference). - Can you make it with a dull silver finish (eg brushed) to match my dulled stainless barrel? - How much is it likely to cost? - How much is it likely to weigh? Let me know if you would like more information or pics for my rifle. Cheers, Rory

Hi Roger I have been looking at your web site and your silencers/muzzle brakes. I have got a Stirling .22 magnum and was wondering how much and how effective a silencer/muzzle brake would be on my rifle. I fire Hornady V-Max out of it a very good little round at the muzzle the bullet is travelling at 2200fps. Does your standard magnum silencer cover this caliber rifle or do think a custom made silencer would be better. Would be good to see another video of you demonstrating .22 magnum before and after being silenced to get a idea of how much your silencers supress the magnum range, Gray
