Enjoyed my days at TABC. Loved the many great times at Youth Group, the fantastic activities and outings we had. A church of wonderful memories, baptized 1978 & married in 1984 (both by Heath Bridges). Derek & I have 3 wonderful sons (17,14,10)we live in Te Atatu South. I joined the celebrations for the Sunday Service & it was 'special' to chat with many I have not seen for a number of years.

My husband Garth(my boyfriend at the time) got saved here at Te Atatu Baptist 31 years ago and we were married here in 1979. We attended the church for a couple of years before leaving the area and consequently the church. It's amazing that after all these years God has bought us back here, we are loving attending here once again and have felt very welcomed and loved upon our return.

Greetings to you from Royal Tunbridge Wells in England. Sadly our being here assisting in the ministry of a local Church means that we can't be there with you, catching up with old friends and reminiscing together. Te Atatu Baptist was our first Church home as a family. Lynn was born just after we arrived in 1966 and Phillip 2 years later. We still look back on those years with thankfulness and regard those who were part of the "Family" warmly and with gratitude. We were just about all new families so we were on the journey together and the Church was a very important part of our families too. We pray that the weekend will be a wonderful celebration of the past 50 years and a platform on which to launch the next 50. We send our love and best wishes to all and look forward to hearing about the weekend and catching up with the news when we get home mid November. We would love to hear from our old friends. Our email address is attached and we can receive them in England. Our phone number when we get home is 09 428 1148 and we would love to catch up with as many as we can. May God bless you all. It's going to be a very exciting weekend for all the new and old westies! I was at the TAB from 86 to 91, have many fond memories, and much to be thankful for in those formative years. In 91 I joined YWAM for 3 years. I now live in Hamilton with my wife Coral and 2 kids. I'm not sure if we can get there, but wish you all God's

David & Norma Mullon
I, David started worshipping at the church early 1965, Norma joined me when we married here in Blenheim in Sept 1965. I was working at Whenuapai then Hobsonville before moving to Blenheim at the end of 1971. I helped with the Boy's Brigade and sang I think, while Norma was deeply involved with Sunday School. Our daughter Aimee was born in 1969 and our son Guy in 1971 2 weeks before we left Auckland We made many good friends some of whom we still communicate with. We have memories of good times and give thanks for the nurturing and love poured on us in those early days of marriage.

The Williams family moved to Te Atatu Baptist in 1966 and we were involved in various area of the church until July 1979 when we moved from te Atatu to be closer to where both my husband and myself worked. That was the time of 'carless days!!!' and travelling was a bit of a problem. I thank the Lord for the years that we were there, where we received good Bible teaching and made good friendships

Robbie & Julia Parker
Robbie in particular has many happy memories of Te Atatu, since he was part of it since the early 80's & loved the Youth / Young adults groups - made many friends that have remained lifelong, & grew in God lots. Te Atatu also launched Robbie into YWAM in 1986 & the continued support of the Church kept him going for many years. When we married in 1995 TABC was our spiritual home even if we didn't visit that often!! Thank you, church, for the years of friendship, support & just "being church" that have meant so much!

Well - all the 'cogs' are in motion and turning, to ensure this Jubilee will be fantastic! All the invites have been posted, volunteers recruited and caterers booked. The working bee is planned for late September, and new carpet and chairs ordered for the church buildings. I can't wait to see you all in October. It's going to be great. PTL. Matthew 16:18b 'I WILL build my church, and even the gates of Hades will not stand against it'. :-)

The Jubilee weekend is going to be so much fun. It has been so interesting hearing all the different stories that have been and are being shared. I am sure there will be many more. I love the scripture Leviticus 25:10 and believe that sometimes re-visiting the past can bring liberty and freedom. My prayer for the whole weekend is that it will bring glory to God and that old friendships will be renewed and new friendships will begin. Look forward to seeing you all there. Blessings Debbie Spackman
