Just wanted to wish you all luck for the Ironfest Australian Jousting Championship coming up soon. I first witnessed your fine sport at Ironfest '05 & loved it instantly! I've yet to meet a person who's seen it in person & hasn't found it fantastic. Indeed, I even wonder why this sport crazy world of ours hasn't grabbed onto it with both hands. Hopefully this event will deliver some much deserved media coverage & will help give the sport mainstream coverage - if only as an amusement piece in the last 10 seconds of the news. I have run the Armys Light horse troop in Vic for a few years untill it shut down and now run a Bushranger service within Vic. Can you tell me who makes the armour and chain mail and how do you go for getting public liablity insurance. Looks good do we have a group in Vic Aust. Mad Macka |

It does my heart proud to see your re enactment group in action. I was one of the origional members of the Ancient And Medivale Martial Arts society until we ended the association (political in fighting and women were the main cause of our demise). We also had a jousting team and we trained in Hornsby and later in Narrellen in Sydney. We started the first schools display program under the title "Looking Back" I went to England and performed with the Knights of Arckley in the UK and Europe. I enjoyed my time as a medivalist and although I am pushing 48 I still dream of the thunder of hooves and some guy with a pointy stick taking an apple off my head at full tilt. regards Rob Mob 0416123631 |

| Comments: | Well, for one, armour IS called a "harness" as the term "suit of armour" is a Victorian term like "chainmail". It could be called plate harness or Alwhite or cap-a-pie etc. but suit of armour is NOT a correct term. No point even bothering with all the personal crap but at least that's a provable fact that is WRONG! |
