I lost my Son in 1989 at the age of 21, and you are right, nobody can possibly know how you feel unless they have lost a child themselves. I too am a believer, and I don't think I would have made it through my Son's death without Jesus. I won't lie and tell you that you will get over your precious daughter's death, but I will tell you that God will give you the strength you need to get on with your life, until you see her again. Lauren was truly, "Touched By An Angel," and she's waiting for the day that she will be reunited with her family in heaven.

And I am actually envy that you have all the photos that you do. You are actually lucky you got to spend those wonderful 9 years with her. My daughter's life was cut short at 5. She died during a home invasion, killing her excution style. I think of her everyday, especially during the holidays, and birthdays those are the hardest. I too understand your heartache and mysteries of why me and why us. I lost 4 sisters and a brother to drunk drivers by the time I was 6 years old. (1976-1978) before the laws were strict. THe day she passed, she asked her mother to bury her in a special dress she had. Her mother told her she would be way to big to bury in that dress when it was her time.
My cousin was hit by a truck walking to what she loved to do most... at the age of 8 she taught Sunday school to 4 and 5 year olds. |
