Thanks for the link to your website. I enjoyed browsing through it and enjoyed reading up on the history of your station. I first heard a pirate radio station in Auckland New Zealand around the 60's. The station was called Radio Hauraki and they had to transmit their programme three miles out to sea. This was exciting times for all and I remember listening with awe as these people defied the government to play the music they wanted heard. I enjoyed the photos. Can I interest you in a project that has been turned from Ideas to a dream come true.Some months ago the idea for something different from the uk has now taken place,the Voice of Peace has been revived for 2003. We have two sites,the first started with http://voice-of-peace.2003.tripod.com with a url somewhat a little long it was decided to shorten it so hence the new site at http://vop.uk.tripod.com. The idea behind it is the same as the original vop run by Abie Nathan from 1969 to 1993.We at the vop think it's the right time to revive it as there seems to be a need for such a station today. Our contact email address is; vop@easy.com,we are also looking for anyone who can help us with relays and join us to do our little bit for peace. We also are looking for sponsers to try and raise the capitol for buying airtime on two of europes large transmitters,one in St Petersburg from what I'm told it's around 500kw an medium wave and there is a shortwave transmitter of 10kw that can work in the 49mb and 31mb. For any relays fromthe usual shortwave stations we will be willing to sort out some sort of payment.
