Comments:I love how Mr. Anderson's movies give us, the viewer a real sense of who he is and the time period of which he came of age. Most movies lack his cohesiveness. It's like eating fish: the smell, the flavor, the color it's undenyingly fish. Mr. Anderson's movies aren't afraid to be his vision.I loved his last movie, I've seen it at least 10 times. I can't wait for the next one! Victoria Jacob, Milton Ma.

Comments:I have been hooked on Wes Anderson films since "Bottle Rocket". Wes' choice of music for his films is brilliant, as are the original works of Mr. Mothersbaugh. In fact, Bottle Rocket made me re-evaluate just how cool a song "2000 Man" is (I used to regard the Rolling Stones' "Their Satanic Majesties' Request" as a weak album). The scene in Bottle Rocket it was used in is also one of my favourite scenes from his films as well (the climactic redemption of the flawed hero). I look very forward to a new film of his being released.

Comments:Wes Anderson is an amazing director. Every time I watch his movies I appreciate them more and more. The scene on Life Aquatic where Steve tells Ned he'll be right back and he walks to the front of the boat for a cig as it plays 'Life On Mars' by David Bowie had me in tears. Best type of humor ever. It's not conventional humor, it's not random humor. I can't really put my finger on it -- everyone says it's "quirky" humor but I dunno. The funniest quote from his movies was on Royal Tenenbaums when Eli Cash was reading an excerpt from his book, 'Old Custer' at a press conference, "The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sage thicket. "Vámonos, amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintcraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight." Beautiful.

Comments:I was just watching The Royal Tenenbaums and I looked up reviews for it on the net. I got: Too much Salinger. Too much Irving. I’m like what? Listen, if you put a movie into that category it’s great. In the world that has been thrust upon us it is an amazing feeling to know that you understand the sarcasm, wit and general joy that Wes Anderson brings to the screen. You also have the distinct knowledge that you “get it”. I know we are few. When I saw Rushmore in the theater for the first time I found myself laughing out loud (almost uncontrollably) and it was as if I was the only one in the theater who got the joke. Man this country has gotten stupid. Thanks Wes for making films for the educated.
