| Comments: | Hi There Kari & Jerry, What an awesome website!! You two really got class. Makes Pam and I want to hop on board tomorrow. Pam looked up info on Steiner for Massage Thereapy and started to send a email but stopped and decided to wait until we can see more on entertainment. We need to read all the details first. Your website should be a catch for anyone thinking about working on a cruise ship. All those wonderful places you have been is unbelievable. Will talk to you soon. Aloha Van & Pam |

| Comments: | Not too long ago Boyd set up a database so I could enter all of our music (albums, cassette tapes, CD's, DVD's). The older we get the harder it is to remember what we have - or don't have - and whether or not we have it on CD. When I was entering the cassette tapes I of course ran across the one of yours that Boyd played on "Can't Find A Reason Why". It seems I asked him then if he knew where you guys were. I can't remember what he said, but it sure is nice to see where you've been and all the places you've performed. Hopefully someday our paths will cross again, as music is still a passion of Boyd's - and mine. |

| Comments: | Hello again from Sweet Home Chicago!!! Got back from the cruise couple of days ago and back to work. Had a great time listining and talking with both of you on Legend!! The cruise was great, will do again someday and can only hope to have you to see while were cruising. Saw the list of your favorite artists and it mirrors mine, saw Johnny Winter a couple of times when he was playing with Muddy, have you ever heard his album "White Hot and Blue"? One cut there "Last Night" I recall has one of the most increadible harp solo's I've ever heard, I belive its a guy named Pat Ramsey and I can't remember hearing him anywhere else do you? Kim Wilson is great as well, he's on a Lou Ann Barton album "Read My Lips" and does some great work with her. Freddy King, Jimmy Reed fantastic stuff both. I'll e-mail you a couple of links, listen to some sample clips from a guy named Larry Pierce, he does "Dirty Country" and it is some funny (and dirty) stuff. Anyway, I'd be happy to send you some CD's from my meager blues and misc. collection send me a mailing address, I don't know to send via e-mail. "Sweet Home Chicago" Bob |

| Comments: | Yesterday I dug out my old rcord player and went through my old 45's and I found a couple of songs called "Wild Child" and "When Mama Talks To Daddy." I hadn't heard them for years so I gave them a listen. That was pretty good singing for a 5th or 6th grader. Actually, Kari, you were in my class at Pinewood Park Elementary in Longview way back when. I was a shy kid named Leslie who lived a few houses down from the school. You probably don't remember me. I saw those old records and thought I'd Google your name and see where you ended up. It looks like you are doing great. My wife and I get to Vegas once in a while, so maybe we can catch one of your shows when you are there some time. I am living in the Denver area now, working for United Airlines. It was great to catch up with you. Good luck with your music. I knew you had a lot of talent way back when and I'm glad to see you are still using it. Take care. - Les Bishop |

I tell a lot of folks at my bar that I wish you would tell me where to take my guitar to have those licks of yours installed (lol). Thanx again for turning me on to that studio. I'll get some serious recording time out of it for sure. Looking forward to seeing you two again in Aug/Sep. Have you over for another home-cooked meal. | Comments: | Hi, there, Kari. I just stumbled across your website when looking for Reo Palm Isle information. I first saw you at the Reo when you and I both were young things and I was just breaking into “the business.” I distinctly remember some record you recorded with a song about Saturday night (and I still can remember most of the words) and then “Only Mama That’ll Walk the Line.” We had The Back Door Bar & Grill in Gladewater from about 78 through 86 or so and I cut my teeth playing Bob Wills and Emmylou Harris covers there for all of my high school years. The summer following my senior year I spent in the Reo house band, working for the infamous Carl Johnson. I went on to study opera of all things at North Texas State University and SWT all the while singing with some sort of band, whether it was blues or western swing. Then I got married and had three boys and my music career hit the back burner. I’m putting together another western swing band, “Annie and the Swing Daddies” with a eclectic group of musicians ranging from graduate music students at Angelo State University to Ray Price’s retired upright bass player. Anyway, I just thought I’d write to tell you that you had a big fan in wide-eyed 12 year old girl in the 70’s in North East Texas. With warm regards, Angela Halfmann |

| Comments: | Thanks for the newsletter!! That is a great idea. I am always asking about you. My son, Reed, and his wife were on a cruise ship that had a fire around 2001 so they got another cruise all expenses paid. There was a documentary recently on I think Discovery about the lack of medical care on cruise ships. Very interesting. I sure enjoyed going to the bridge cam every day to see where you were. I will listen to your music as soon as I can have the computer from Bryan. ha Take care of yourselves. It is wonderful to know you have such a good life. Your devotion to each other is very heartwarming. Love, Faith |

| Comments: | Yoeski, Jerry,, I sure miss you and Kari! In fact I had dinner at the Suncoast last night, not the same without you guys. I would give anything to hear Kari singing the about the 4th of June on the Tallahassee bridge, and hear you playing that kick ass blues stuff I enjoy, especially that song Jessica! Let me know if you need a ship roadie to carry your guitar Sure Miss You Guys! Conti |
| Name: | Joel Lackey |
| Comments: | Conti told me that you were going to be at the Gold Strike in Jean and then at least 2 weeks at Binions. I have been so busy that I just couldn't get to see you. Sorry! Hope you're going to stick around for a while. Jerry: I listened to your album all the way to Ca. and back and have to say that you are most lyrical guitar player that I've ever heard. Your licks are cool, but they all fit in exactly where they supposed to, and after you've listened once or twice, it;s really easy to sing along because you seem to go exactly where you're supposed to. |

| Comments: | Perhaps you remember use "shag dancing" to "Just One Look" that you played for us every night. We really enjoyed listening and dancing to you. I am sending you some photos that I took of you on our cruise. These are greatly reduced in size and quality in order to send them to you via email, so they probably want print will well. If you would like the full size versions of any of them, please let me know and I'll post them to my website for you to download. Your dancing friends from the Star Princess April 17-24, 2005... With best wishes for your future success and careers, Colin and Avril Kent Brisbane, Australia |
| Name: | John Krnjic |
| Comments: | Dear Kari & Jerry, For years I have been trying to find who sings this song "I'm The Singer You're The Song" without any success. I still have the song recorded on tape. Today I had searched the internet and I found this song with the same lyrics and melody but it wasn't what I was looking for. This one was by Tanya Tucker and the version that I have is a _duet _ and sounds much nicer. I would really appreciate if you could tell me where I could purchase your version of "I'm The Singer You're The Song" ? I live in Australia. Thank you so much. Kindest Regards..... John Krnjic |
| Name: | William Boyd |
| Comments: | Kari and Jerry, just a short line to let you know how much we appreciated your music...your music filled up many hours of time for us and we really enjoyed it...if possible, would you say hello for us to LOS PISANOES? these three men are also fine, fine musicians... Jerry, if you have the time and the inclination, you might search out the music of a great blues man who died far too soon...SLIM HARPO wrote blues that i have always found to be very very elegant...i hope this message finds its way to the high seas, and i would really like to hear from you some time... |

| Comments: | Just wanted to thank you for multiple evenings of wonderful music on the Star Princess. I went to visit Jimmy so many times there in the early to late seventies. I was in the recording studio sometimes when he was recording, etc. I was also in the recording studios in Hollywood several times with him. I am Jimmy's sister Lorene, and wanted to say that you had a great musician in your corner. Whatever capacity he played in your recordings, he was the greatest and was always out to do his best.
