We would love to come visit you all (with our without our big guy) to see what real champions look like. I'd also love to find out if you can help us track down where our boy originally came from. He was born in January 2003 and originally adopted by a family in the Marble Falls area. When he got too big, they dumped him in the pound and Weim Resuce finally got him. A groomer who shows Weims says he looks like a champion, but we have no papers for him so we'll never know for sure. He's a winner in our book! We are so lucky to have him in our lives and absolutely love the breed.

I actually live in PA and I am a dog warden who "adopted" my second Weim this past Feb. The guy I adopted it off of found him running loose at a truck stop in Austin Tx. he brought him home took him to the vet and found out it was a Weim about 6 wks. (had no idea what kind of dog he was) To make a long story short I ended up with him, his name is Austin (named after where he was found) he is approx. 1 yr old. He is a great companion to my female (Sadie--Adopted from the SPCA 7mos.) he is a GREAT dog all around. I was hoping that you may be able to find out some info on him. I am estimating him at about 1 year old (pretty close) any help would be appreciated. |

After reading several posts here I had to make sure I posted as well. I have a female Weimeraner. Her name is Missy. Well actually she's my daughetrs she was meantt o be a anniversary present for me but the bond she has with my daughets says that is different.:) I have to say I have owned many dogs but Missy has to be the most intelligent I have ever had. Her love for my daughter goes beyond anything I can ever say. To anyone looking for a family pet I strong suggest you take a look at weimeraners. Given Missy is a matuer dog being 8 yeras old when we got her. The previous owners had found her through a weimeraner rescue and they should have never had her either. The wife passed away and the husband decided he didn't have time to tend to her and her mate because of his partying. So he brought them to their vet and ask thatthey be put to sleep. He refused and thank god for that. Because we now have one of the gentlest and loving animals I have ever seen. Nott o mention very protective of her family. |

when I re read an email you wrote to me about my drooling weimeraner with extreme seperation anxiety. I am happy to report that once we stopped trying to leave Jake in his Kennel when we would leave he became a fairly trusted dog when we were out of the house. No more barking or anxiety. He will get into things if I leave something interesting out but he never is destructive to furniture or the house, just food or toys sometimes. He loves his kennel to hang out in on his terms and is perfectly happy to sleep in it day and night, and we lock him in at night with no problem. He adores our kids, they climb in his crate to snuggle time and he loves it, he just lays there and soaks it all up. He is almost three years old and has matured into a great family pet, we hope he is with us for a long time. It did take patience and some experimenting to find his right groove, but he has arrived! He is also pretty well trained for manners. I can make him lay down, put a dog biscuit on his paw and he won't touch it until I tell him to. Love your website, thanks, Sharon Rentz |

little lover!! He is very protective of my prperty. He was abused as a pup. I took him out of the bad situation two house's down. Behind a metal building when it was very hot out, chained in a 4x8 dog kennel and no food or water. He howled from 2pm to 2 am and now he is mine. Please pray for us! He has pinched once again with his teeth. When people walk up the street. He pinches and runs back to the house. Now the animal control thinks he is a viciouse animal. I go on the 19th of this month to a hearing for him. I cannot stand the thought of losing my very best friend. |
