| Comments: | These are cool ideas. I am currently planning a bridal shower for my SIL that will happen this summer and will use a couple of these integrated into the theme I want.
The theme that I have in mind is that all guests are role playing the part of wedding planners and consultants. My idea is that they have to come up with a dress design and 2 other items needed out of some materials on hand and the bride chooses what design she likes the best so that the winning team can be given a small "prize". There will be about 40 guests. I would love to see your thoughts on this. |

| Comments: | I just happened to think of one suggestion you may want to add to your website - I have been searching different sites because my son is in the service and my new daughter-to-be and he will be moving so we are going to ask guests for both the wedding and bridal showers to please give gift cards and/or to send their gift since the bridal couple is flying home for the ceremony and with all the restrictions on luggage weights they will be unable to take gifts back with them. A picture of the item can be wrapped up with the gift card or they can purchase what they have to have! |

We based the whole shower around wine and did a 'wine theme', I had a professional wine taster come in and we did wine pairing with cheeses and other foods that they suggested. All gifts were opened after the wine pairing and all had something to do with wine. The bride loved it as she's quite shy and it took the pressure off her as we all had a great time tasting and pairing wine! Not to mention we learned alot about varieties of wines and what to look for when we purchase them. |

| Comments: | I totally agree with you on your Idea...bridal showers are great...I am currently the Maid of Honor for one of my best friends's wedding...so of course I am in charge of planning the Bridal shower...I have help, thankfully from the mother of the bride and one of mine and the brides other friends...All that help has come in handy for me especially financially...I love planning parties and I especially love themed parties....in coming up for a theme for my friends bridal shower that will be happening this up and coming May I came up with a list of ideas for themes that I felt were something that fits in with my friends personality and likes...Her mother helped me then narrow it down to the one theme....That theme is a Tea Party....casual formal tea party too...I already have the party favors, and I have lots of games, but I am trying to get other ideas as to other thenthe party favors what am I going to give as prizes...the party favors is a cute little box of assorted teas....I was hoping that maybe you would have an idea as to what I can use as prizes... |

| Comments: | I love the simplicity of your website. Other sites I've visited can be very cumbersome and limited. I got some great ideas and would like to share one of mine with you in thanks. Stumped with what to do with all of the bows and ribbons from the shower gifts I started a tradition with my bride-to-be friends. Simply take and arrange the decorations into a bouquet and veil to be used as props during the rehearsal. It usually brings a humorous light to all of the last minute stresses of wedding preporations. Thanks again for your site. |

| Comments: | I gave a Karaoke Couple Bridal Shower. It was a BLAST!!!I decorated my living room in Black material with lava lamps and hooked the music machine to my 50inch flat screen. We ate tacos, finger foods, and made the kitchen buffet style serving. We made games with the music. The shower was only a 2 hour shower, but we sang from 6-midnight!!! We were exhausted, but EVERYONE had fun!!! We adourned the bride and groom in glow jewelery, gave them light clapping hands, decorated them a rootbeer mug that they now use in thier own home. Like I said...it was a hit! |

The theme is "honeymoon" as the couple has been living together and they have one child. They are short on cash-as they are putting all their money into the wedding, so they were planning their honeymoon at a later date. The invitations are out and now we are looking for ideas to create a honeymoon theme. The thought was a good one but the reality is proving a little challenging. I am using many of them as I am preparing for both the bachlorette party and bridal shower for my youngest daughter who is getting married. Two weddings in a year!! Whew!! Again, thank you so much. But I wanted to add an idea to your site if you would like it:
As I said, I just had the wedding for my eldest daughter and I wanted to add one more suggestion for a bridal shower idea that worked so well for us: The thank you cards were bought with the theme for my daughter's bridal shower. When everyone arrived, at their place setting (it was a luncheon) was the envelope for the thank you card with a nice personalized pen the person could keep as a gift. (The pen had a message of thank you for coming to Candice's shower and I had a bow tied around it with a charm.) If it is not a sit down luncheon you can have it at a table as they enter and have the envelopes with several pens to use (you don't have to give a pen as a gift)-- and ask them to fill out the envelope!! I asked each person to fill out the envelope with their name and address on the envelope. I made a pretty basket to match the theme of the shower and asked them to put envelope in the basket as we would have a drawing. After all envelopes were in the basket, at several times during the shower, we rang a bell and the bride drew one of the envelopes out the basket and that person won a prize. It's a VERY convenient way for the bride to have everyone's thank you note already addressed properly and the guests enjoy a prize. We had 4 drawings at different times during the shower as she didn't want any games anyway!! Just a quick idea and it worked so wonderful and many people said they would use the same idea!! I thought I would leave a game for you to add if you like it for others to use... Its called Honeymoon ramblings - To Play Give each guest a piece of paper and a marker. Have them put the paper on the floor in front of them. Let them then try to bend over and trace their right hand on the paper. However, they must do this without bending their knees at all! While everyone is attempting to do this, have one person record on a piece of paper what everyone is saying. Once everyone is done, announce, "This is what (bride's name) is going to say on her wedding night." Then read all of the responses. Some of the responses might include: "No way." "This really hurts." "This is easier than I thought it would be." "I can almost reach it." Let the bride have the sayings as a keepsake. Thanks again, Doris Barry |
