One of the greatest pleasures of my academic career was (is) having you as a student and advisee. I learned a great deal from that experience in that there are those who set high goals, who constantly work toward those goals, and have the desire and mental focus to achieve those goals. While mastering Accounting was a short term goal for you, your work ethic, focus, and determination to be the "best" was obvious for the course and in all that you do - especially the game of golf. Your work ethic, focus, and passion are exemplary to all. There is no doubt in my mind you will reach your "Plan A" goal of playing in the LPGA as well as winning in the LPGA. Chris, myself, and our entire family are cheering for you. Chris and I both have learned a great deal about mastering the game from you as well (more Chris than I - remember, you can't teach an old dog new tricks!) HUGE congratulations on winning the A-flight championship in Hilton Head last weekend. You beat 122 top golfers from 28 regions in the Amateur Golf Tour (amateurgolftour.net), no small feat. This is a golf club update: I just keep hitting my new clubs better and better as I get my golf swing back. I am hitting the irons straighter and higher than before, with more consistancy. My distance increase perhaps 5-8% so far. I expect a bit more as I progress. I am very happy with them. I also love the four wood. It's working out very well. I am hitting it much further and straighter than my old five wood with a consistant ball flight that is much straighter than I have been used to. The straightness of the ball flight has given me added confidence when playing. This is allowing me to bend shots right to left when needed. I'm still not quite good purposely hitting a draw but, I am sure that, with practice , I could do it. It would be a matter of playing more. I am not having the same kind of success with my driver. As I shorten my takeaway my ball flight improves dramatically. A much straighter and more consistant flight. With the full swing I still can't hit a straight shot or fade consistantly. It usually ends up being a fade slice or a straight ball the makes a sharp veer right at the end. There is plenty of whip in the shaft and I wonder if a slightly stiffer one would have been better, but it is probobly fine. It's just me. I'll have to ask Bob if his ideal driver shot with his swing principles would be a slight draw or what? I've never asked. Overall I am very pleased. I've played just a couple of rounds now with the clubs and shot a 90 yesterday. 43 on the back. What hurt my score more than anything was three or four chips tied up in very long grass that I just didn't hit hard enough. Remove that shot and I did fine....sinking three long putts including a 20 footer on 18 to win the dough from my buddies! (Friendship money). It's fun playing again with consistancy and improvement. Once I figure out that driver I should be regular in the 80s. I'm working on my shoulder turn and right elbow tuck. That should all help. (BTW, playing with you really improved my shot visualization and comfort zone. I'm getting better and better a PLANNING my shot with clearity EVERY TIME.) Thanks. Hope all is well. How goes it? Did you get to read the book I sent you yet? Lots of laughs, no...... I'm coming along just fine under the recent circumstances, BTW. Tell Bob, I emailed him a putting question regarding the fact that, as a left handed artist, I am EXTREMELY left eye dominant but play right handed....so when I putt my dominant eye is closer to target unlike most right hand players (most never thought about this---remember, I am EXTREMELY visual). Phil Mickelson is a natural righty, BTW. Tiger Woods was born a lefty and first swung a club this way, according to his Dad, and then, when noticing his Dad did it from the other side switched around to his right side. I often want to see Tiger signing an autograph to see if he grew up to be a lefty or righty. How's your game progressing? I hope to make it down next year, for sure. You look to be in quite a 'flat' backswing position, at least looking at the left hand/left shoulder line. This was particularly noticeable in the driver and long iron videos. Yet you seem to get back on plane very easily early in the downswing without any manipulation. Quite puzzling. This action gives your swing a very connected, solid look.

| Comments: | Liebe Katja, nach der 3. trainingsstunde mit deiner mami wird für mich dieser eintrag in dein gästebucch möglich. festzustellen ist von meiner seite, daß du neben dem golf und anderen sportarten nicht untalentiert bist auf dem gebiet der fotografie, vorrangig tiere (kätzchen). da ist dir einiges sehr gut gelungen. aber auch landschaften gehören dazu. einige tricks mußt du uns noch verraten (natürlich gegen Bezahlung). deinen Mizekatzen ist es noch nie so gut gegangen wie jetzt.

However, I am so pleased you were able to work in Connecticut for at least a year. It is a colorful and cultural area of our country. It is home to me and I miss it.
