| Comments: | hello everyone we have a rare blue pei called blue, he is so adorable, he's had a few problems but now he lives outside in pens with two brown peis brother and sister (troy and coco). coco is currentley recovering from an opperation after she ran into the road poor thing! the vets wanted to put her to sleep but we didnt wamt that so to make her better it cost a wopping £5,450.well its worth it to see your pride and joy out of pain and a happy little soul. we are currentley looking after bluebell she's four and a half months old and i want her cos she's so cute.so now i'm on the lookout for a new baby girl, prefrably a blue one. xxx |

| Comments: | I am sending this to you to let owners with a pei, who may have FSF, know that its not always bad news.We have a redfawn girl named Maisie who will be 4 yrs old in november. Last May, when she was 30 mths old, she was unwell for a day or two then her temperature went sky high (105*) Although she only had a couple of other symptoms of FSF,and the vet told us not to think the worst, we regard her as being a carrier of the gene. However,although she is a pampered spoilt girl,we dont wrap her in cotton wool just because she MIGHT have FSF. Even if she does, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will progress onto Amyloidosis. . We got her speyed at the first possible opportunity and we've even had a ticking off from the vet because she's packing a few more pounds. She's most definitly not fading if she does have it.She runs about like a Madwummin and is the most loyal, loving ,alert and happy wee soul Ive ever known. We bought her from a lovely couple of first time breeders who wouldnt have known any of the parents carried it unless their own dogs were unwell, like ours became. I have researched Maisie's ancestors through a link on your sight and her mothers side all seem to live to a ripe old age. Her great great granny lived to 12 so if I ever I buy another pup(which I probably will) I will go to her Mums side. Just to let you know, Its better to be positive when faced with such an illness in a much loved pet. Enjoy whatever time you have with them wether it be 6 mths or 10 years( hopefully) |

I am a very proud owner of a shar-pei after many years of pondering wheather to buy one, especially when my other half said a definately no. As you guessed i didn't listen i ended up buying him and turning up at home with him in my arms. My other half is besotted with him, he even calls him his son. I have never experienced such affection and loyalty from a pet before, shar-pei's are the best breed ever. I will be advertising my shar-pei called 'Ringo' for stud duties very soon. |

i have a shar pei called asia from denayr (mandy and jason) she has had a litter this year in which are for sale and are ready to go to their new loving homes! There are four puppies for sale one has already been sold. there are 2dogs one black and one fawn (both with black masks) and we no have to girls both fawn(one with black mask the other is slightly pinker.) thankyou very much for the ad and everything you have done at kavishi. P.S we actually found our bitch 3 years ago on kavishi, we then fell ion love with her and went over to kingslin to get her from Many and Jason at Denayr! so thanks again! Helen xxxxx |

I would like to thank you for your web site and for me finding vet Ian I currently live in Perth, I have a 5 month old Shar-pei named Orkney. I have taken her to quite a few vets but was very unsatisfied with the outcome. (none of which are advertised on your web site) I took her last week to Ian in Edinburgh for the first time, and was very pleased. Orkney required an eye tack and returned to Ian’s for the procedure to be carried out. Everything went well I found Ian very helpful with enquiries as he took the time to listen.This is one vet I would definitely recommend him. Callum and Orkney. |

She is great with my five children and we all know how three year old children behave, i'e pulling the dogs ears, trying to get her dressed up, but she just lays there and endures it but in the evening she lays down by the fire with my daughter and falls asleep, so cute. I've kept shar-pei for many years now and I used to subscribe to the wrinkle. In the wrinkle there was a great stud register. I don't know if thats still a feature but it would be a handy facility for me nowadays as I'm hoping to breed a litter of pups from my lovely Lola in a year or so and I'd be able to do a bit of reaearch into any possible sires. I find your website such a great source of imformation and education and I wondered if youd ever considered adding a stud register? |

First of, I just wanna say what a fantastic and helpful site you have. I have just bought a shar-pei puppy from one of the breeders you advertised (shardazzler) and he is an absolute doll! We have recently taken teddy, our new baby to the Barrier animal care clinic in woolich. The vet Stacey was brilliant, helpful and very informative on the general care needed in owning a shar-pei.
