Ryan Cunningham took home two first place medals, Russ Anderson brought home one second place medal, and Jake Stringer won two third place medals. No one came home empty handed. The rules for the event were not exactly to our taste, but oh well, while in Rome. |

I do not believe we will be able to have an open mat day before the tournament. However, our members will be able to train on the weekends if they wish. | Comments: | This is an awesome site, and I'm glad to see it up. As a former student of Sensei Keith, I strongly encourage you to come down to the dojo and see what its all about. Judo taught me discipline, honor, control, and respect. Sensei Keith and his dojo offers you all of this and more. Unfortunatley I live in Portland and I’m out of range to participate in his dojo. But Roseburg and its surrounding areas are fortunate to have an opportunity to do so. So take the next step and go down to see for yourself ! |

| Comments: | It's great to see this up. Although my life has taken me away from my days in the Dojo with Sensi Keith, it doesn't mean my heart has gone far. I look back at the time spent both inside and out of the Dojo and smile as it was filled with painful (do we really have to start the push-ups all over again?), proud (first time I threw somebody bigger than me), entertaining (need I say more) and special memories. If you are in Roseburg or close then give this a try and you will be very impressed. It's nice to keep updated and keep up the training! |

| Comments: | If you just checked out the web page and are now signing the guestbook you have made your first step in the right direction. The next step is calling or coming down to the dojo. Ten years ago Sensei Keith and I worked together, and he had been telling me a little about judo and how I should come sign up or check out the class at the college. I was definitely interested in it but I kept finding a reason for not going. I told myself I wasn't coordinated enough, not flexible enough, not strong enough..and numerous other reasons. Finally after about 3 months of Sensei Keith encouraging me to go, I decided to give it a shot and I became fascinated with judo immediately after I saw it in action....I have been praticing judo ever since. Sure, I have taken some breaks in between for personal reasons and work reasons. I even took pretty much a three year break while I was in the army. But the only time I regret spending away from judo..is the first three months I made excuses for not going because I doubted myself.. Don't end up like me, regretting the fact that you didn't try this earlier .. come down now.
