| Comments: | I want to say god bless to all of the women going through the molar pregnancy. I had a partial mole about 10-1/2 months ago post D&C. During my weekly HCG testings there was one scare. I had an apt. for Chemo. My doctor is a specialist (thank GOD) and he had me re-tested the day of my treatment. Come to find out it was a lab errrrr. I trust my doctor with my life. I want to tell all you women to keep your faith and believe in you doctor. He/She will guide you all of the way. I am only 21 years old. I have had one miscarriage and one part.mole preg. My husband and I just got the ok to try again. I hope this time will work. Third times a charm. please E-mail me if you have any encouraging advice or any stories. Thank you

| Comments: | I just found out today that I had a molar pregnancy. I started spotting about two weeks after I found out that I was pregnant, so I have had about five ultrasounds. Right now I just feel so frustrated because it took my husband and I a year and eight months just to become pregnant. I am 31 so the thought of having to wait six months to a year feel like forever. I would love to hear about other peoples stories and to know how long they had to wait and that it is possible to have a healthy pregnancy after a molar. Thanks-Jane |

| Comments: | Your website was very re-assuring knowing that there are other women who went through the same as me... that I can identify with cause no one around me could understand how traumatic this was for me and still is..even though it happened 3yrs ago I still feel the pain and anguish of losing my first baby....even worse was getting the results on birthday.....needless to say I was crushed cause I never heard of a molar pregnancy......and even though my family was around me I still felt alone....the doctors say I'm fine now........I give thanks to God everyday for spearing my life.........to all the women out there that have experienced this and still experiencing this I pray for you that you may be blessed once again with good health and strength............ |

| Comments: | I am a mother of four who is going through the healing process of a molar pregnancy. Unoffically diagnosed at 9 weeks due to lack of fetal tissue by ultrasound and then a D&C. Am still waiting the pathology report to confirm. Begin the weekly blood draws tomorrow. At nearly 39, I struggle with having to wait a year, but will be thankful for all I do have and have been spared thus far. Thank you for this site. I have the opportunity to educate myself, grieve and know that I will heal thanks to all the other stories. God bless you all. |

| Comments: | Thank you so much for this website. In May of this year my fiance and I went in for a ultrasound and found out that the baby's hear wasn't beating. I was schedueled for a D&C the next day. The doctor said that is was either a chromosone problem or one of it's organs wasn't developed. I had to wait three months to get pregnant again. Well in that time I got pregant again without knowing it about two weeks later. Had alot of pain, clots, and bleeding. Went to the ER and they had to do another D&C. Two weeks later my doctor said it was a complete molar pregnancy. I had know clue what that was so I got on the internet and found you. Now I have to go about every two to three weeks for a blood test to test my HCG levels, with NO insurance! So there's alot going on trying to find the money to pay for all this, worrying about having cancer, and worrying that I won't be able to have any other children. I would aleast love to have one child, I'm only 21 and would love to have one. Good luck to all. |

| Comments: | It came as a surprise when i found out i was pregnant 2 months ago. We have three wonderful children now, and the youngest isnt a year old yet. A month after i found out i was pregnant, I started to bleed. After calling my midwife, we discussed the possibility of a miscarrage. I was devastated. I was very queasy all day and night, and extremely tired. As I continued to bleed for a month, my midwife assured me I was "passing" the miscarrage. She finally sent me in for another ultrasound at 12 weeks, and a bloodtest. My HCG level was at 350,000, and she looked at the ultrasound results while I waited. I was taken upstairs after she told me I had a molar pregnancy, which I had never heard of. Another blood test was taken, and in the 2 hours since the previous test, my level had jumped to 475,000. I had the D&C, and was kept in the hospital for 2 days. This has happened a week ago, and now I've begun to feel the queasiness and fatigue again. This is a very traumatic experience, and I am very scared. I was relieved to find this website and here others experiences, I dont feel so lost about this anymore. |

| Comments: | I had a molar pregnancy in 1999 after trying to concieve for a year. I was devastated with the loss and with not being able to "move on" and try again for a year. But now, 5 1/2 years later, I am pregnant with my third child!! I have 2 wonderful , healthy sons and I am expecting my third in a few months!! So, for all of you out there that are suffering through the pregnancy loss and the painfully long waiting period, please try to visualize your life 5 years from now...Chances are, you will be shopping at the Disney Store and hanging out at playgrounds!! |

| Comments: | I was 14 years old when I had a complete molar pregnancy. Talk about being scared! I had to go through telling my parents that I was pregnant and the whole family was angry with me and my boyfriend. I went through all of that just to find out I needed to have a d&c because I wasn't pregnant with a normal baby. Today I am 18 years old and attending college to get my RN, I am still with the same boyfriend and we hope to have a family of our own someday! Good luck and god bless all of you who have gone or are going through the fear of having a molar pregnancy. |

| Comments: | Hello to everyone and thank you for sharing your stories. My husband Don and I lost our little one to a partial molar pregnancy on December 10, 2004. We were devastated...and are looking for hope...and serenity. I never knew anything like this existed until our lives were turned upside down. It means so much to know that we are not alone...and to have the faith to know that our baby is perfect and in heaven with God. Something like this truly changes life...and I thank you all for being there...together we will get through the heartaches. Take care. |

My hcg levels were at 97..then I went to my obgyn two days later and my levels had gone down to 76...then six days later I took another hcg test and my levels had gone up to 129...I will test again in two days...has anyone ever experienced falling and then rising hcg levels before and still had a good pregnancy or even it came out to be a mole??? I am desparately confused..and hopeful??? Thanks for this sight and the support!!! |

| Comments: | My husband and I experienced a miscarriage on November 15, 2004, at 7 weeks. We spent 4 1/2 hours in a walk-in clinic the day before because I had started bleeding. I was terrified because I'd had a miscarriage in early August. We had an ultrasound done that day in the walk-in clinic, and the ultrasound tech and the pathologist agreed that they could see a heartbeat, even though one couldn't be detected. We were told everything was fine and sent home. I miscarried at 8:45 the next morning. I packaged up the tissue I had passed and took it with me to my doctor's office that morning. It took until yesterday, December 17th, to find out the pathology results. There never was a baby, and my doctor has said to start trying again whenever we're ready. I had never even heard of a molar pregnancy until yesterday, and am pretty frightened after doing online research today. Has anyone else had a doctor not have you come in for additional blood testing and told you to go ahead and try to conceive again? |

| Comments: | I am so thankful for this website! I was 21 years old when this happened to me, I have a beautiful 3 year old girl who was 2 at the time. I had a normal pregnancy with her then this happened. I was so confused and angry because I never have heard of this. I live in a small town even the doctors were amazed. I went through a D&C, went for my bloodwork every week and exactly one year later my husband and I concieved again. I am 6 months pregnant and everything is going well!!! But I am sooo scared that something is going to be wrong, the doctors assure me that the baby is fine, I guess that its just nerves from what I went through before. Thanks for listening! |

| Comments: | I am so glad I found your website. I was sixteen weeks pregnant when I satrted bleeding and was taken to hospital. I gave birth to a son Bobbie on the 1st december 2004. He was taken away for tests to be done on him and the results showed that as well as him having had spina bifida and his bowel growing on the outside of his stomach, it was also a partial molar pregnancy. I was obviously devastated by this and still am. The doctors however did not tell me the full details of a molar pregnancy however, such as it being a form of cancer. I would just like to say that reading your website helped me understand it better and what I will have to go through in the coming months. thankyou. xx |

Iwas immeditly sent to the hospital where I had a D&C preformed, I was in my 11th week although the baby was only 9 weeks. I have been trying to deal with the loss of this child when I got a phone call from my Dr on Friday & was told I had a partial molar pregnancy. I had never even heard of such a thing before. Now I am faced with the possibility of having cancer. I go in Monday morning for blood work and x-rays. I have an 11month old son that I need to be here for, this hole experience has been very scary so far I have no idea what to expect on Monday; thank you for this website it has given me alot of comfort and helped me understand what has happened. Lots of prayers needed. |

| Comments: | HI. I am 19 years old and found out in August that I had a pregnancy. After 3 weeks of ultrasounds they were unable to see any signs of a normal pregnancy. This is when I learned I had a molar pregnancy. The doctor I was seeing was not very supportive. All of the information I learned was through the internet. I had a DNC at the end of November 2004. I did not do any follow up appointments. In the middle of January I began to feel the same "pregnancy" symptoms. I went to the emergency room, where I soon found out I am 6 weeks pregnant. They were able to find a heartbeat and said everything looked okay. I have a due date of Sept. 19 2005. I know I am not out of the woods and am worried about the possible problems that can occur. I have set an appointment to see a new doctor. If anyone has any advice or anything they can tell me, it would be greatly appreciated. |

| Comments: | Thank you - I lost two daughters, one at 38 weeks gestation and another at 26 weeks gestation (back in the mid 1990's) back then parents were informed that the fetus was not compatible with life - nothing else. Not holding my babies was the hardest thing to come to grips with, no-one wants to talk about your loss - it's just you, husband and long empty nights.
i had three healthy daughters, and last year, I became a grandmother (I was there for the delivery) - then ten and a half months later, he was killed in an accident...I have downloaded some of the information to give to my daughter, as I am convinced that when she shares some of the tragic and touching memorials, she will realise that although her grief is total - there is a life to be lived still. Thank you |

| Comments: | I have had 3 m/c and just found out last week that my 4th m/c was a partial molar pregnancy. I am heart broken, with the molar pregnancy I got a heart beat on the baby and watched it grow. By the 4th loss I should be use to bad news but I so badly want to have a child. Being told that I will spend the next year going thur test and avoiding becoming pregnant seems so unfair. I am so glad that I can hear other womans experiences and know I'm not alone. |

| Comments: | I'm in my 17th week of treatment and still looking for answers. I was diagnosed with a PMP in August 2005. My numbers went up one month after a d&c and I started Methotrexate (shot form) the same week. My 2nd cat scan (Jan '06) showed I still have an active tumor in my lung so I'm now on Actinomycin via IV every 2 weeks. I really hope this does the trick. It's very depressing! I'm happy to see there is more information out there on molar pregnancy now but it is harder to find info on other women not responding to chemo. The PMP was also my third miscarriage in 2.5 years - no kids yet. All I can do if hope and pray for a healthy child in the future! |

| Comments: | I had a molar pregnancy two years ago. The first D&C didn't clean up everything so I had to get a second D&C. It took about a year and half before my HcG level dropped to 2. My onocologist gave us the clear to try again, but we waited 5 additional month. We got pregnant right away. Unfortunately, after being pregnant for 17 weeks, our baby boy died due to trisomy 13. Do you know of anyone who had a molar pregnancy and trisonmy 13 or of some other chromosome abnormality? I'm trying to find out if there's a link between the two? |

| Comments: | I'm 20 years old and my husband and I were ready to have kids. It took us a year just to get pregnant and we found out on February 14, 2007(Valentine's Day). That was a surprise and we were so happy. We got married exactly 2 months later. And then on April 30, 2007 when i went in to check the baby's heartbeat, my doctor couldn't find one. So they did an ultrasound and found that I had a partial molar pregnancy. It was shocking news considering that I got to hear the baby's heartbeat a week earlier. The next day they had me come in at 6am to induce labor because I was as big as 17 weeks. The baby had died shortly after I heard the heartbeat at 12 weeks. After I passed the baby, I got to see him or her. I consider that day to be the worst day of my life. I couldn't pass the placenta because it was too big so they did a D&C. That whole experience was very scary. Right now I go to the hospital for weekly Hcg tests until they are zero. Then I have to go every other week then once a month for a year. We have to wait a year before we can try to get pregnant again. This is very hard to go through... |

| Comments: | I had a molar pregnancy over 20 years ago. My doctor, who had been practicing for 22 years at that point had only seen two cases of this. I didn't understand what it all meant, and I'd never heard of any support groups. My husband at that time went to visit his girlfriend instead of comforting me. I was so alone. The D&C did not get everything out and I had to go through the Chemo. It really wasn't so bad. I didn't have any problems after that with this issue and I had five births without complications. In fact, I got pregnant before the year was up and was fine. I don't suggest that you ever go against your doctor's instructions, but I was alright.
All I have to say is Hang in There. Hold on to what you believe in. Take care of yourself. It's hard, but anything that doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And, you definately are not alone. |

I have felt for the last 2 weeks that something about this pregnancy is not right, I haven't had any nausea or vomiting and really no pregnancy symptoms at all except for swollen and slightly sore breasts and 2 missed periods. This is my 4th pregnancy so I knew what to expect from a normal pregnancy from my previous experiences, we wanted this baby very badly and my husband and I are both a little numb. I'm scheduled for a D&C tomorrow, at this point we have no idea if it's a partial or complete molar. To go from joy over expecting a baby, to sadness when you're told your baby has no heartbeat, then fear when you realize you might get cancer as an ending to this very sad story, all in the period of 5 days is alot for my emotions to process. I'm praying for peace for myself and my husband and I'm praying for a complication free treatment. I just want to get it all over with at this point. Thanks for sharing your story, it's been very helpful. |
