| Comments: | I'm interested in Barnoldswick men's involvement in the 6th Battalion Duke of Wellington (west Riding) Regiment in WW1, particularly the first aiders of St. John's Amubulance who did much excellent work in France/Belgium.
I'd love to hear from anybody with information or with a similar interest. |

| Comments: | Can anybody tell me why my ancestor Sir John Hudleston had an annuity of 50 marks for life confirmed in 1484 from the lordship of Barnoldswick ? |

| Comments: | Hi David - yes I remember that walk - I took part (age 9). Got a press clipping of me and Tommy Honeyman as we neared the 25-mile mark.
Great website - I'm only sad that I missed the society's 30 November talk - didn't know about it. |

| Comments: | I discovered the society on a trip back to Barnoldswick this week to see my parents who live near the Fosters arms.
Well done all those who work so hard on such organisations. I was brought up in Barlick, went to Rainhall Rd School, then Ermysteds. I have fond memories of playing cricket for the town and Thornton and my early journalistic days on the Barnoldswick and Earby Times. Does anyone remember that first Christian Aid walk to Kirkstall Abbey in the sixties, or some of Park Rovers' epic matches? I now live in Torquay but still have fond memories and press cuttings from the sixties. |

| Comments: | Thankyou - love the photos & domesday reference. Was there an 1850 map available last time I visited ? Always fascinating to try & visualise how things were. |
