I currently live in Orlando, and crime is way high here, much worse than Shreveport. Just go to the Police Department Website and read the statistics. It's called the crime report. |

Shreveport's Drug use/arrests are some of the lowest in the Country. Overall, crime has gone down each year for the past 10 years ad, with the exception of Rape, most all crime continues to go down in the area. I grew up in Shreveport and it's a nice place to live, with a pretty stable economy. Crime is all over, and I also have lived in Colorado (Colorado Springs, much more crime there), Michigan (Detroit-Metro, do I even need to say anything here?) and now Orlando, Florida (a very creepy place, beautiful scenery, decent economy but crime is continually rising), Maybe you should give it a break, the Newspaper doesn't really tell you the whole story, I think you know that. |

I purchased copies of the 2 local papers and noticed there was a great deal of crime there, and that was just what was reported. | Comments: | Two of my children attend Keithville Elem/Middle School, and as I was looking through the yearbook, I came across a little girl's picture and my eyes started to tear up after all this time. It was the picture of Kristy's daughter, Jordan. I went to middle school with Kristy and I lived in Givens. My oldest played with Jordan years ago. I lost touch with Kristy after middle school, only seeing her a few times after before she disappeared, the last being when her little girl was a baby. I check the site every now and then hoping to find that they have found her and or what happened to her and the people responsible, but so far that hasnt happened. Someone knows what happened, and hopefully someday it will all come out. I hope Jordan is doing well, as she could be not knowing what happened to her mother. Kristy was always smiling and a lot of fun to hang out with. I will never forget her and I hope and pray that she is found. My prayers to her family for I cannot imagine the pain of not knowing the whereabouts of a family member. May God Bless. |

| Comments: | Hang in there. We went three years from August 20 1996 till August 5 1999 before being informed of the death of our 14 year old son. Special thanks go out to Steve Loftin of NCMEC, Dr Hunt of the Smithsonian, John Walsh of AMW, and the detectives of Henderson and Las Vegas Nv that helped us obtain an I.D. in our case it was a relief to know one way or the other, as we can deal with facts. Not knowing is very definitely worse than finding a child deceased. I pray that your search ends with a live recovery, but if that is not possible, then I pray your search ends soon. You are not alone, many of us are sharing your grief and praying for strength for your family. Remember God's Pearls: When the pain of loss is new, it is like the grain of sand to the oyster, very painful and a constant irritation.
