Great stories! My Dad is a WW 11 veteran but never talks about it. I have read many books on the topic and try to engage him on the issues but he simply does not go there. I am happy for you that you have found peace and pride in what you have done for our country. God bless you and all our current and past brave men and women that have served this country here and abroad. Joe |

THATS A GREAT STORY AND GREAT DESCRIPTIVE WRITING. MY FAVORITE SHOW WHEN I WAS LITTLE WAS COMBAT with VIC MORROW. BUT THAT WAS ONLY ACTING, YOU TOOK PART IN THE REAL THING. IT IS REALLY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT YOU SURVIVED ALL THAT. I GUESS IT WAS A GODSEND THAT THOSE GERMANS WANTED TO SURRENDER. SPRECHEN SI DUETSCH? |

Joey, I thoroughly appreciatd your WW II stories as you posted them earlier. They meant even more as I read them today. Your stories are the stories of so many whose grave sites I visited in Europe. I feel that it is your tribute to them that you tell the stories of how it really was. My husband was there but he told me so very little, except that he would like to go back to Germany sometime to see how it had built back, that when he left it was just rubble. Your presentation is outstanding, so appropriate. It is a labor of dedication. I salute you. Mary |

| entry: | Hi Joey;
I really do appreciate the sacrifice you and others have made on behalf of all of us. I'm glad to have made your online acquaintance also. Keep up the good work, your pages tell the story like historians really can't without being there in the middle of it all like you were. Chris (Petard) |
