| Comments: | I had a Birman from Whitesox Birman in Ohio named Kyrie. She was a retired grand champion whom I adoptrd at the age of 4. I currently have a Himalayan (14)adopted from our local Animal Save and three dogs. I loved mt Birman. Kyrie followed me everywhere. If you have a retired female some time in the future that you think would fit in with our family please let me know. I am not in an immediate need for a cat. I want to make sure that the fit would be good with my Himalayan. She is somewhat deaf we think because she howls when she cannot see us. My cats are indoor cats as are the dogs (unless it is for play time or potty breaks). We live near Penn Valley CA which is 90 minutes northeast of Sacramento. My babies Louie 18 years old and Maggie 17 years old with many health problems are the light of our lives. They both have very impressive birth rites, which is what encouraged me along with our breeder, so show them, which I did. Louie and Maggie both championed but at that point tho I was encourage to Grand Champion Louie, stepped out of showing as Maggie hated being showed but Louie loved it, as he is a real "ham". I know of no other breed that is as loving and smart as a Birman. We have been taking Maggie and Louie to the University of Davis for the last several years because of their health issues. The people at Davis cannot believe we still have these babies but think whatever we are doing to keep them alive and beautiful is a amazing, they think it is the water in Sonoma or just the abundance of love we give them.
