| Comments: | I have 19 chows at the present time. We do not show them.
I do breed chows for pets only. I have only had chows for going on 6 years and found that they are the most loyal and trust worthy dogs. I have owned Collies,German Shepards,American Eskimos,and Siberian Huskies and I have found the chow to be my best companion. If I had more room in my kennel I would adopt more chows. We have rescued 3 in the past 2 years. At the present time I would like to find a black female with papers and a cream female with papers at a resonable cost. I am from Alabama and it is very hard to find good Chows here. We lucked upon our 2 males (they are brothers)from a breeder that only bred her dog once. She was not really into breeding but a friend had a male and they wanted to see what the pups would look like. I love my two males (one is cream and the other black)and would like to find two females to match them. The only problem I have had with my chows are an occasional fight among themselves. The two brothers had to be completely separated due to fighting. I have spoken to trainers and our vet and they have said that there is no way to ever get them back together. Have you had this same problem with any of yours and is there a solution? We really miss being able to take them to the park together and walk them side by side. Any help would be appreciated. Witty reminds me of my last old boy, Mr. Eddy Beare. And Midgy is such a hairball, she riminds me of my little girl that was blind, Giggles, I rescued her from her owner at the insistence of her breeder and the owner's vet, how about that, his vet turned on him. The owner let her go blind when she had her first and only litter at 6 months. I wanted to kill him. He's lucky I didn't. But she lived for seven years with me being a cheerleader for the other dogs until she passed. |
