I just read your entry for March where you describe the problem you had with a pill that wouldn't go up or down. That can be really scary, I know. I learned that water or liquid doesn't work well when trying to get something to move. Take a piece of bread or something with some substance and it will help swallow the stuck object. That's as long as it isn't obstructing your airway. Mashed potatoes work well also.

in February you wrote,
"And I think of my need for accomplishment and productivity, how easily I am drawn into the mundane[...] while all along I was meant to walk/dance the pattern and help to maintain the egregore of balance and harmony and beauty."

You have put beautiful and effective words to a difficult topic. I've come to expect this quality of expression from you and enjoy it. Balancing the mundane and the spiritual is a perennial problem I guess, even for those of us who believe life is a seamless whole...it's hard to truly live that way, imbuing the practical with the spiritual and vice versa.

Several times you have written of spiritual angst and lack of a feeling of purpose. It may be a life stage thing. But I realize that even if that's so, it doesn't make it easier to deal with. (Your addressing this subject has provoked me to think concerning my own sense of purpose, which I see as a good thing.)

In what ways might you try to see the things you do regularly, and well, even the mundane or emotionally unpleasant ones, as part of how you dance the pattern? Would that be an approach you'd find productive?

Hi Kyril,
Your labyrinth is incredible! I want to make one too! The electrical tape is a great idea.

The stuff you are talking about in this years journal sounds much like what I've been thinking about lately. When you were talking about anger, it made me want to have a conversation with you about anger sometime.

What you were saying about meditation being where you learn to catch yourself when you find that you are worrying or thinking about something. You got it exactly right. Meditation is a skill that takes practice. Being willing to stay with it and catch yourself when your thinking over and over again is exactly what it takes. I beleive that meditation is crucial to a healthy spiritual life, and I wish that there was mediation among Pagans in general.

Aren't these things amazing? Just a few years ago one would have to search the Internet and then steal someone else's work, or download a program to add to create a guestbook. Now one just goes to a website and signs up, links to it and it is done.
