Ladder12 Engine3 Battalion7
Welcome to Dreambook, a nifty new free service from:
New Dream Network, Dreamhost, and Dreamservers!

Please take a moment to sign the guestbook. This website was designed for Ladder 12 Engine 3 Battalion 7 and the families. This is our tribute to our fallen brothers Chief Orio Palmer, Lt. Philip Petti, Stephen Belson, Angel Juarbe and Michael Mullan who lost their lives in the line of duty on September 11, 2001 while trying to save others. The station and the families of our fallen brothers will always hold a special place in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. Thank you. sign our Guestbook

I have always dreamed of being apart of the FDNY. Ever since I can remember I have want to be a Firefighter. I love every minute of it even though I don't draw a pay check. I would like to take a trip up to NY City but I dont have the available funds to make this trip. But one day soon I will hopefully be up there to see the 9-11 memorial.

Comments:GONE DARK One thousand, eight hundred, Twenty-six days Time that has spun and scurried by And slowly slipped away Still we light the candles Some prayers whispered and some cried The solemn bell tolls a single chime For each of those who have died For those who joined together To fight instead of yield Those whose souls bravely took flight Over a lonely, deserted field And for those in the giant twins A second, a moment too long to contemplate The fiery end that was coming An end that should be no ones fate For those in a ringed complex Who heard thunder drop from the sky Unimaginable horror Some tears will never dry And for those who wore a uniform Who, valiant, looked past the smoke and flames And boldly soldiered on ahead Do you remember the names? Can you call to mind A memory that still stays Even after one thousand, eight hundred, And twenty-six lost and lonely days This candle I will pass to you To illuminate the night With glowing columns stretching into eternity Once more, Ground Zero lit bright Give life to those once proud monuments With prayers whispered and cried That solemn bell will utter a single chime For each soul set free to fly Then, for today, for this moment Sorrow we will mark And when the candles have made their way round Once again, this day has surrendered With Ground Zero now gone dark Remember the heroes 9-11-01

He made a big impacted on my life, because now I am a firefighter myself. Before I would think why would you go into that building, but now I understand. I also remember asking him dozens of questions about what it was like to be a fireman in New York, he told me how everyone hung out in front of the hall and would halla' at the ladies and how it was the best job on earth. He was right. I just wanted to say god bless you guys and keep safe.

All of you are heroes to me. Even though I live in Fort Worth, TX. I have always had a special love for FDNY even before 9-11. Because of the many friends I have on the FWFD, I feel a special kinship to your department as well. I would like to meet you and personally shake each one of your hands. I have one request. Could I have one of your station's patches to put on our church's prayer wall. It will serve as a reminder to lift you up in prayer each night. May God Bless each of you & your families. Rev. Knowing his charachter, even as it appeared as a youngster, I was not surprised to hear about his hard work, heroism and sacrifice for others. May God bless his soul, Joe Schutz

Comments:Distant Witness I don't live close; I did not hear the thunder or the crash. I didn't hear the cries for help or see the metal thrash. I didn't witness buildings fall. This was on TV. I didn't run from plumes of smoke. I know that wasn't me. I didn't arrive with photo in hand looking for my wife. I didn't tell my only son his dad has lost his life. I didn't send my oldest child into a burning tower. To try and save whomever he could and die within an hour I cannot say that I was hurt while saving someone's life. I cannot say I've ever lost a daughter, son or wife. I do not daily pass this site where bodies still decay. While people who must get to work must pass it everyday. I am not brave; I do not grieve for loss beyond compare. I know I am not a party to the death and the despair. In some small way I'd like to say I hold you in my heart. Although this won't amount too much I hope it is a start. There was a part inside of me that died upon that day. I cannot look at life the same or trust in the same way. I look to God to give me strength, my trust is in his grace. And deep inside within my soul, I find a peaceful place.

Comments:Thank you all for the job you do. My mom married a firefighter 3 years after my dad died in a veteran's hospital at the age of 39 due to his service in Okinawa during WWII. Mom married Charlie Jones, badge number 63 of East Cambridge, Massachusetts. Charlie never wanted to take the place of my father but he did want to be a best friend. He was my and my family's best friend. We loved him and entered into the world of firefighting. Boy, did he love his job and firefighter friends were really an extended family. They were all wonderful people. Charlie taught us a lot about living and loving each moment. My mother and he were like two kids on a forever honeymoon. Not being one to say I love you, I finally did tell Charlie. When we'd talk about the dagners of his occupation, he'd smile and say "Death is just like switching off a light". After 10 years of loving and reall6y knowing Charlie, he died in the line of duty. The light went out but in our hearts he remains to this very day. So, in memory of Charley Jones, God Bless you all. Arlene

When I heard about his death at the WTC it struck me hard. He died at the age I was when I met him. Odd, I never realized how young Mike was then. I judged people on their maturity, not age. The couple years I knew Mike has left an endearing impression on me. His passing drives home the senselessness and waste because of the violence in the world. Used to hang out with Orio, Stephen and Vinny, and sisters Mary and Agnes. Lost touch after I went away to college. I am so saddened and yet so proud to have known Orio. I'm aware of his love of music; we would listen to a ton of it. At the time it was Hendrix and the Johnny Winter Band, as well as anything else that rocked. I am sorry for all the workers and what they had to endure at ground 0 all these months, They gave everything they had to give. I will never forget any of you and as long as I live no one around me will forget. Those that died took the hit for the US they died for you and me! This poem I wrote for 3 friends of mine that lost a loved one and I feel this for any of the families my prayers are with you always. My three wishes If I could have 3 wishes: I know what I would do: Id wish away your sorrows: Id wish away your blues: Id pack up all your care and strife: I would carry all your load: Id never let you suffer: Traveling down lifes road. If I could have 3 wishes: Your life would be complete: You would never feel another pain: They would be all mine to keep. If I could have 3 wishes: Id tell you what Id do: You wouldnt have to struggle: Life would be so good to you: But, I dont have 3 wishes: No magic wand to wave: No Jeannie in a lantern: To wish your cares away: But I can offer something: Thats with you now to stay My caring heart and friendship Theyre with you everyday: Written By Diane Huggins

I think of all the pain that could have been avoided if you had just walked out. I would not be sitting here with this hole in my heart that nothing can ever fill. Your parents and sister would not be devastated and filled with grief. Your family and friends would not be looking at your picture and shaking their heads in disbelief. But then I remember your courage and that you could not have walked out. You could not deny your nature nor could you do anything but to fulfill your destiny. My pride in you and my love for you knows no bounds. I know that our joy will be great when we meet again. We will sing together on that day, my brother, and the Gates of Heaven will not be able to contain our happiness.

We thank each of them as well as yourselves for always caring protecting and saving others as firefighters. Such dedication comes with a warm and caring heart. May the courage, life and love of our lost loved ones continue living in those who love them and in those who have been touched by their lives. We are tremedously sorry for the loss of America's heroes. America Cries We see your sorrow- and our hearts cry.... We can not take away your pain but you do not have to face the anguish alone because we- -the American people- are beside you. We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort, the strength that gives you courage, and the words to lighten your spirits. And when we are left speechless may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts to ease your sorrow. May you find healing through our nation's strength as we- -the American people- face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
