Regardless of how i found it, i stayed with it - I stayed with this composition until its completion, and let me make it known! This was insightful, and interesting, beyond most boastful "insight" i've read on such topics. I really must congratulate you not just on your insight, but on your writing style, or as some call it, your "writing voice." it is very defined. Not everyone who writes has such a well-defined voice apparent in their writing. You do it well; i hope you continue - and eventually, over time as you persist in your writing - your abilities will become keener and writing will come even more naturally! I can't say i've ever thought too deeply on the subject of sephiroth, but i do think he is a very nifty character, and if ever FFVII is remade, i'd love to see it remade in a non-linear fashion in which multiple branchign paths would lead to a variety of endings, perhaps that would give a wider perspective on the matter of who sephiroth really is.

It just seems fitting that Sephiroth would want to reduce Cloud like that. And I've always wondered, if Sephiroth hated Cloud so much, why didn't he just kill him? I have many personal stories that I've never shared, many involving cannon/cannon and cannon/OC parings, and after reading those two things, it made me think about my stories. No, none of OCs fall into the Mary Sue category. What I mean is that your thoughts and thorough explainations of the best way to win over a fan-fic lovers heart is to flaw your character, and try as hard as you can to keep the cannon character 'in character'. You're the first person to really sit and write out things like that and not be hypocritical (as in doing the opposite in your own stories). ^_^ I'm going to start going off and not stop talking here pretty soon, but I'm so glad to have found your site. I was directed to and read "Enantiomerias" yesterday and found that delightful, so I peeked around in some of your other stuff as well. (Though I have to admit when it comes to fanfiction I generally only go for the short reads and avoid the multi-chapter epics.) I think you portray Sepheris very well and the, uh, "risque" parts of Enantiomerias were handled very tastefully, something I always found to be a challenge for myself and others when dealing with that sort of content. Most writers of stories like that have you rolling your eyes after the 5th use of the word "member." Okay, and I enjoyed Playing With Fire, too--maybe I'm a closet hentai. xD I gave a little mini-recommendation for Enan in my site's update/blog/thingamajig, so maybe if anyone actually reads the crap I scribble there they might give it a little look-see too. ::shrug:: Nice site... I enjoyed the essays, although the design is hurting a bit but you've got content to make up for that. Um, this might be somewhat of a delicate issue, but you may want to avoid coming off as conceited in your fanfic section, quoting all the praise and awards you've gotten and such, and the "how to" essays could be a teeensy bit more humble. Not that your work doesn't seem to deserve the praise, it's just...well, you might not want to come off like you're pretty darn sure it should. ;) Hope ya don't hate me after that one. <3

I agree with a lot of it, however I know/believe, Jenova wasnt twisting his thoughts.. His thoughts were twisted by that stinging pain I know so well, of the fact he was lied to his whole life, he finds out he was being used the entire time.. suffering for a cause he could not care less about. So he finds out all these research reports in the mansion and it finally caused him to snap, all the pain he endured from his younger years, to that point in his life came at him, and he flipped, and hated everyone.. They never understood him, and I agree with you too, No one ever tried to point out the real truth to him, so he went down the darkest path, unavoidable, as Nomura would have to have made it, It was his inescapable fate.. I feel sorry for the poor character I wonder even in the lifestream if he would ever be able to find peace. Maybe Nomura would do something about that hm? Lol.. I can understand why he burned down a whole town, He saw everyone as his enemy.. assuming they were traitors and such. You mentioned that us loving sephy for his looks was one of the shallow 'lesser' resons for liking him, but I think that it really is the foundation on which all those reasons rest. Beacuse-be honest now- would we really still like him if he was fat, ugly, and looked like Don Corneo? I don't think so. From my experience, I've found that if a guy is hot, fangirls will find ways to love and sympathize with him no matter how much of an asshole or idiot he is. Take most protaganists for example (Sora, Naruto, Tidus...). They're stupid and immature, yet girls still fall in love with them. Why, you ask? Because they're hot. Then on a complete fluke today I came across your site and the work "Falling". It was actually quite poingant because I happened to be watching a show on Drill Instructors today on the Military Channel and I thought that it would be interesting to see Seph in a military command fic...so you must have been reading my mind.
