where your at now. What a better place to be than this sinful world. Like you said "You went face-to face-with Jesus". What a peaceful, love ,joy & the presence of our heavenly Father must be like.I would also like to add, Who are we to judge? We're ALL gonna be judged on judgement Day.In all my research, & reading I've also done alot of soul searching. What if I was a victim. Someone had killed 1 of my family members. If Jesus can forgive someone who has done such a horrible crime. Then who am I? It would be hard but thru my Savior Jesus Christ I would make it thru. I would also "FORGIVE". The bible says we have to forgive to be forgiven. If we don't forgive then we can't be forgiven. We don't understand why we go thru things in our life. And sometimes it takes something bad for us to realize that JESUS IS REAL He actually saved her soul from hell.If you don't have Jesus in your life then Satan has control over you & sends people into your life to get you in trouble. Just like the Sean Sellers case. He was into Satanism when he was young. He murdered 3 people. 2 of which was his mother & stepfather. He found Jesus as his Lord & Savior in Prison. He was also executed last year.So what Satan thought was good , God always turns around for his glory. And to the person saying Karla was faking her smile. Honey! When you get Jesus there's no faking about it. And she had Jesus in her life & was sincere. You don't fake that.God does something to you that is undescribable & it is AWESOME.So I pray that everybody comes to know him as their LOrd & Savior. Eternity is forever folks. Where do you want to spend eternity? And you never know when you'll die. Tomorrow is not promised to you. We all need to stay READY!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless everyone that reads this & I pray that you'll look at your own life. None of us are sinfree. Only Jesus was when he walked this earth. |

| Speak Out:: | Without denying any of the pains the victims and victims
family had to go through all these years, I think the world has become a poorer place without Karla Faye Tucker. Instead of appreciating her regrets and the tremendous changes in her personality and human development, instead of trying to make use of the experience of people like Karla to help rehabilitate others who made similar mistakes in their lives, instead of doing that, the state of Texas, a state from a country claiming to be the most christian continent in the world, took the life of a person who was probably one of the least probable persons to ever pose a threat to society again. I live in Holland, a country where a multiple killer, even an unrepentent one, would already have been released after so long a period of incarceration. But apparently that was still not enough to satisfy peoples need for revenge. Punishment is appropriate if something wrong has been done; but punishment does not mean destruction. It means putting someone in a situation where he or she starts to realize that a law has been broken, a law in which all of us take part and the violation of which affects all of us. It must be done with the honest intention of rehabilitation. If we don't, if we choose the path of revenge, what right do we have to claim to the Islamic and Jewish and other worlds, that our religion is better than theirs? I am sad that two people had to die because of a senseless crime fifteen years ago, but I am also sad that a another valuable human being, who in her later years has showed the utmost human maturity and the best in whatever rehabilitation program can ever hope for, has been brutally taken away from this world. America considers herself to posses the right to dominate world politics because of her outstanding human, democratic and religious values, but in the case of Karla Faye Tucker, none of those values have been demonstrated by the state of Texas. I mourn the death of Karla Faye Tucker as if she was one of my own family. |

I live in Holland, a country where a multiple killer would already have been released after so many years of punishment. Instead of appreciating the tremendous changes that Karla showed in her personality and human development, which after all should be the aim of any correctional institution; instead of learning to use the experience of people like Karla to help rehabilitate others who made similar mistakes in their lives and make them see and repent in a positive way, thus hoping to lay the foundation for a better future for all of us; instead of doing that, the state of Texas, a state belonging to a country claiming to be the most christian continent in the world, added another sad chapter to the recorded history of man's inhumanity to man, by taking the life of one of the least probable persons to ever become a threat to society again. What is our christianity worth in the eyes of God, when we know nothing but an "eye for an eye", ending up making the whole world blind? Do we not see that we don't have a choice but to try to forgive and live with the consequences of peoples bad choices? Brutality has never contributed to a better world and will never contribute to it. Punishment is appropriate when something was done wrong, but punishment does not mean destruction. It does not mean destroying someone to satisfy our need for revenge. If no christian wants to suffer for a better world, if no christian wishes to do away with revenge, we better take down all the crosses from our homes and churches and burn every copy of the New Testament in the world, because in that case we won't be worth the paper on which Christ's message was written. |

I am responding directly to the message below as it has just got me somewhere between infuriated and laughing. Should we feel sorry for skydive or blow him off as a joke? Who knows? Skydive, Who are you to call anyone names such as "sick" and "pathetic"? What gives you the right? Also, Karla Tucker did kill two people to which there is no doubt, but that still doesn't give anyone else the right to decide when she will die. You miss the point. It isn't about Karla, it is about what is fair and just within the law. So, you are the one who may need to reorganize YOUR thoughts. Also, you stated that there was no "tribute to the victims" in the guestbook. There ARE PLENTY. However this is the "Karla Faye Tucker Brown Memorial" so what did you expect. I think they did a great job. If you read all the messages then you notice that even Deborah Thornton's brother visited and linked his site personally. Get a life buddy. Also, get a dictionary! You spelled "exicuted" and it should have been "executed". Next time, KNOW what you are talking about before you put your foot in your mouth. If you don't like this site the way they have it, DON'T COME HERE! May God bless you and open your mind. |

| Speak Out:: | Its really sad to see so many people feeling sorry for a
killer!!!!!!!! I didnt see any postings of sympathy for her victims. One idiot even posted that if he is ever murdered he does not want his killer to be exicuted. He even is making this a part of his will. I guess if someone attempts to kill him he will not use deadly force to defend his life?? Jesus what a nut case!!!!!!!! You sick/sad/pathetic people just dont get it do you. Think about lying in your bed at night when two people come in with an ax and start to hack you to pieces. Or someone shoots you in the head. Or if the same happens to your loved one. I'll bet your opinions would change quickly. Its a sad day in this country when killers are glorified and worshiped. She was a nasty/sick/perverted/cold blooded killer. If I knew when I was going to die I would probably get saved also. Using Jesus was her way of possibly getting off of the death table. Did her victims get a chance to be saved?? No they did not!!!!! they died horrible deaths at the hands of a so called saved person. Most people will say and do anything to keep from dying. Wouldnt you??? Maybe if we killed more people for their crimes there would be less crime in this country. The problem is that most criminals are aware that the punishment for crime now days is very light. At least killing her means one less person that we have to spend money on to keep in jail.!!!! |

| Speak Out:: | --Every time the Texas sun bathes me with warmth, I
remember Karla Faye in her white convict garb, encircled by the prison fence, drinking in the January sunlight. Whenever depression tries to take me over, as it has so often in the past, I remember that Karla learned how to be content in whatever state she was in. I see her lovely, serene smile, hear her gentle voice. Then I feel shame for allowing life's petty pressures to get me down. My goal is to be more like her: to attain the inner peace that she achieved in her final hours of this-earth life. --I stand amazed at how Our Great God can take a heinous ax- murder and work the situation to ultimate good. Oddly enough, though her life was brief, Karla lived out her God- given destiny by being able to witness to millions, due to the circumstances that ultimately led to her execution. Consider, for instance, my agnostic net pal who resides in Canada and who was on the verge of dying from some ungodly affliction when I discovered him last year. He was introduced to Karla Fay via television sound blurbs, yet she captured his attention and somehow touched his heart, as she similarly affected untold millions of unknown others throughout the world. We will never comprehend, until we get to Gloryland ourselves, the magnitude of good that her testimony accomplished. --I personally think that she could have done many more mighty things for God had she been pardoned and allowed to live. Nevertheless, since the state chose to snuff out her body's breath, it's imperative that she not be forgotten. Her interviews, the video that was made of her with the Copelands and Mike Barber, the essence of Karla Faye that was captured on tape -- these vignettes of her life need to be widely distributed, in order that she might continue teaching about Jesus' love and forgiveness posthumously. --The devil and the State of Texas may have stilled her breath, but they will never silence her voice. Like the martyred saints, though she be dead in the flesh, still the Spirit of Karla Faye Tucker lives on. Death really is swallowed up in victory! |

I believe unrepentance blinds people to the effects of the Holy Spirit working in the life of an individual. How arrogant for some to assume they could never have done what Karla Faye Tucker did!!! All of us, without God, are quite capable of anything. I was touched by this woman's life. In fact, I have never seen an individual so full of gratitude to God for His love, mercy, and forgiveness, and I have seen few as sincere and as loving as Karla! My gratitude to God and faith in Him have increased as a result of her testimony and willingness to be used by Him. Thank you for the memorial to Karla! God be with her family and friends. |

If we do something good we want a reward, so if we do wrong we must be willing to accept the punishment for it. Karla was willing to accept her punishment. They died in their sins. We should pray for them. |

Lets not lose sight of the fact that she killed two people and she had to pay her dues! Maybe the Death penatly did not stop Karla from killing two people but it surly stoped her from killing the third! |

am too young to understand this sort of thing, but I think that killing Karla Faye was wrong. If the law says that murder is wrong than why the hell are we killing? Two wrongs don't make a right and that is exactlly what the law is doing. Your all a bunch of hypocrits. I didn't know Karla but she was a wonerful woman. She is such a good role model. Not the way she was 14 years ago, but now. The law, government, who ever are assholes. I think that they like killing people. A long time ago there was this guy. he was eating his last meal and he wanted to save his dessert. Come on now, you should wake up, this guy was insane! He shouldn't have died. Or how about that guy who saved those guards and nurses in a riot. he got executed also. This whole death penalty is bullshit and it makes me angry thinking that these people are dying when they change into good people. I think that the death penalty should stop. Look at the famous people they get off with murder all the time. Is it because they have money and are well known? ....Yes I think that's it. I guess that if we have money it's all right to kill, right. Well that's what your telling us children out here watching the news. I just have to say that I am sorry that Karla had to go. | Speak Out:: | My heart broke when I heard the news of Karla's execution. I was repulsed and disgusted by the whole fiasco. Don't people get it? Are we still living in the wild west? We must oppose the death penalty because we must not imitate the brutality we deplore. Opposition to the death penalty implies no softness of moral character and no sympathy for murderers. It is simply a firm and steadfast conception of the dignity of those of us who will not be murderers, whether murder is legal or not.
I hope people in this country learn a lesson from Karla's DEATH and educate their children to oppose capital punishment. JRR Tolkien wrote in THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING: "He deserves death. Deserves it! I daresay he does. Many that live deserve death. And, some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends." God bless you Karla and may you rest in peace. |

| Speak Out:: | The killiing of Karla Faye Tucker was among the strangest
things I have seen in my life. And God arranged for all the world to watch. It showed us not only the cruelity of killing a fellow human beeing, but the absurdity of killing a christian that God has taken into His service to do good. What´s the sence of that? Is "justice" served (which must come from God) in taking out of the world Gods own tools? This must be a short circuit in the Texas justice system. I can´t make sence of it. But God can. His wisdom and love is far beyond human wisdom and understanding. His kingdom was founded on the dying love of Jesus and history shows us that the death of christians has been the strongest witness to the love of Jesus. I think He has told us beautiful things of His love in Karlas case. The blotting out of her sins and transgessions and the peace between her and (some of) the victims relatives. bring us closer as a Nation by seeking appropriate alternatives to the death penalty. Murder is murder and there are no two ways about it. Karla HELPED to kill two people and our society killed Karla. Wake up people, two wrongs definitely do NOT make a right. Just a reminder too, Karla seems to have had all blame placed upon her and it is COMMON KNOWLEDGE that she DID NOT act alone! WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS SCENARIO? Decision gives child molesters and murderer chance for early release: A decision this week by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals makes 178 convicted child molesters and one inmate serving time for second-degree murder immediately eligible for early release from state prisons. Karla Faye Tucker's sentence of lethal injection, set for Feb. 3, 1998 could be commuted to life in prison: WILL THE WORLD BE A SAFER PLACE because THIS WOMAN WAS PUT TO DEATH? She was incarcerated and would have remained in prison if commuted. Murderers are released everyday, freed to kill again. Many murderers are never brought to trial by our failed judicial system. I know, my daughter was found in the floor of her living room. She was strangled to death. That was in 1992 and there has been no arrest! WHERE DID WE LEAVE GOD, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, HUMILITY? I guess I was being funny or childish. I want to say that I hope it will get removed and everyone will forgive me. I made up the information anyway. I didn't think the message was traceable but I found out my ISP automatically registered with the site owners. Sorry again. Sorry to Karla too since I didn't know her. |

| Speak Out:: | I have just experienced the most satisfying moment in my
life. Karla Faye Tucker came back to haunt me.She was mad because I tried to rape her when we were in school together. It was great seeing her again except that she is now following me with a pickaxe. |

| Speak Out:: | I really don't know how to feel about Karla Fay.The crime was hideous, but her smile and the deep spirituality shining from her eyes showed absolutely no trace of the drug demented lost child who commited it.I mourn for the little girl- turned out to prostitution by her own mother at an age when most of us were mostly worried about puberty issues and early crushes on boys. in a sense,Karla Faye was really executed twice- the person she might have grown into (and became on death row) was destroyed by her mothers warped perception of child raising. And yes, I realize that many people have overcome abusive childhoods without resorting to murder. When my sense of righteous indignation rises up (an eye for an eye, etc) I remember that if Deborah Thornton's own brother could forgive Karla Faye and become a kind of extended family member of hers, then who am I to be indignant. My opinion on punishment for murder is that a person who takes anothers life should be punished for as long as their victims remain dead. Do I agree with the death penalty-yes. Do I think the world is a better place becaise Karls Faye is no longer in it- NO.When Christ was executed by the state there were 2 criminals crucified with him.One criminal mocked and cursed Christ, the other begged for forgiveness and blessings and Christ told that man that he would be with him in paradise. Christ did not tell the man he would let him down from the cross and allow him to keep his life. And so it was for Karla Faye.May she rest in peace. |

| Speak Out:: | I am firmly opposed to the death penalty and always have
been. However, Ms. Tucker's pleas to Gov. Bush for salvation and the public's overwhelming support for her disturned me---I wasn't really sure why because, as i said before I am opposed to the death penalty. Sorting through my feelings, I have arrived at the conclusion that I fear that people had sympathy for Ms. Tucker because she was white, a woman and fairly attractive. If the pick-axe murderer had been a large, black man named Karl Tucker, would the country have had the same reaction? Ask yourselves that. |

| Speak Out:: | It's ashame that karla is dead. Despite her horrid crime,
she graciously spent 14 years in jail and was very brave about it and was always smiling. Her child hood was very screwed up...not that should be an excuse, but shouldn't be overlooked and she was drugged up at the time. What is the point of killing her...that's no punishment..now she's in heaven and won't have to be in prison. God forgives everyone who does kill, shouldn't we? Of course we should..shame on all you pro-death. It was selfish that the victims only wanted Karla dead as a way of revenge..which is very un-Christian like. Well Karla rest your adorable cute sould in heaven and always keep that lovely attractive smile on your face.....I'll see ya there soon enough save me a place in your heart and we'll spread the good word. Love ya always Karla:) |

| Speak Out:: | The crime committed by Karla was extremely brutal. Some
would argue that she was not responsible for her actions because she was on drugs at the time of the crime, and had been since she was seven or eight years old. I would contend, people must be responsible for their actions regardless of their condition at the time. I believe Karla would have agreed with this as well. Some convicts claim a "religious experience" to save their lives or reduce their sentences. The term "religious experience" is generally used by people that do not understand what it is. What Karla experienced was not just some "religious experience," it was God's grace and mercy bestowed upon her. This is given to all who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Unfortunately, this is beyond understanding for some people. Consider this: John Doe dies and goes before God. God says, "You never had mercy for Karla." "Look at what she did!" John Doe replies, "She didn't deserve mercy." God retorts, "Though you didn't deserve mercy, I sent Jesus to pay the price for your sin. All you needed to do was accept Him." Zechariah 7:9 states, "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.'" What is the purpose of capital punishment? Is it revenge, or is it to rid society of dangerous people? If revenge, what type of society will we have if everyone is seeking vengeance? If to purge our society of dangerous people, how was Karla dangerous? Anyone who saw her on TV, hear her on radio, or read the many documents about her, including those she wrote, must conclude there was an obvious change in her life. That change was the acceptance of Jesus Christ! She was not trying to obtain a stay of execution to save her life; she wanted a stay of execution so she could continue to help others. Make no mistake--Karla was not afraid of dying; she knew where she would spend eternity. --Bob Toronto |

she still murdered two people. I hope she is rotting away somewhere. Since I don't care about her and DID NOT know her, I need to question why I even came to a site that very clearly is a tribute to the changes she made for the good of herself and others. What is wrong with me? |

| Speak Out:: | This is a sad situation to have caused so much grief and
turmoil for so many. I wonder how many of you would be so anxious to enforce the death penalty if you had been in Karla's position. Just recently in Texas, a young female military cadet (age 20) was sentenced to life imprisonment because she murdered a another young woman (age 16) out of pure jealousy. I don't hear anyone suggesting that SHE get the death penalty. Why is she any better than Karla? Karla was not the same woman she was 15 years ago. We kill some and allow others to live. Society has gone mad!! At least we can take comfort in knowing that Karla is in peace now. |

| Speak Out:: | Don't be too hard on the state of Texas but you thump the fools calling for her death at the prison at the time of her execution all you want. I personally was devestated. I felt that by murdering the witness Debora Thorton she deserved the maximum the state could dish out. For our legal system to operate we must protect the witness with the full might of the law. I think the the murder of Thorton the witness is what caused the legal system to close ranks against Karla and not necessarly the brutalness of the murder. For this she was doomed. That knowledge was still little comfort when Karla the person was executed. I am still troubled; that is probally good because I reminds me that I am human and all life is prechous. If the state is to error, let it be on the side of life. If I am to error, let it be on the side of life. WE ALL COUNT, EVEN THE CRIMINAL. I believe in life, not an afterlife. Whatever she did, Karla discoverd Love, that probally is what really counts. |

have forgotten GOD. People don't love like they used to, they don't care to attend church to worship the Almighty GOD in heaven. Babies are being slaughterd by the millions in the name of choice and ignorance of what constitutes life. It is amazing how we forget what life is and where it begins when it suits our selfish agenda. Little girls our putting infants in toilets and trash cans all across america. The word of GOD says " man shall not lie with man as with women." Yet we encourage people do disobey. PRAY AMERICA PRAY. This country is in bad Spiritual shape, for we are a country without a vision, and without hope. It is written "Where there is no vision the people perish." |

| Speak Out:: | As I read the notes of so many people, it seemed like most
thought that Karla faye Tucker should have been set free. But you must consider what she did do, EVEN if it was 15 yrs. ago she still brutally murdered two inocent people, they can never get their lives back they never had the chance to even say good-bye. How could "we the people" let someone who did this go free. I am aware that she is a born again Christian but she still has to pay for her actions whether she is a Christian or not she is still a human who murdered two other humans. Some times we make mistakes but we still must pay the consequence. She had to pay hers, even if it be by lethal injection. I think that she understood that, now you must try to understand that also. If she was let go merely because she was a Christian how many other people would claim and act like a Christian just to be able to get off of death row? I think that this made a point, a good point, that you must pay for your sins. I grieve for the family and friends of hers but I also grieve for the family and friends of Jerry Lynn Dean and Deborah Thronton. |

| Speak Out:: | So many opinions and only one real judge! I'm so glad she
finally came face to face with the only one that could offer her real justice. I was deeply sorrowed at the death of Karla Tucker Brown. As I read the opinions that were expressed in the Dreambook, my heart was burdened. I realize what Karla did 15 years ago was awful, yet there is something that we as 'good' people seem to forget. The law that we throw up in the face of Karla is the commandment - "Thou shalt not kill." True - but did we bother to read any farther. "Thou shalt not commit adultry" - Ouch! Most married people live in fear of their spouse finding out who they are having an affair with. I believe that Karla had more peace in dying than some people who would never commit crime that would lead them to prison. There's ten - "Thou shalt Not's." I'm sure that in one way or another every one has broken at least one of those commandments. It bothers me that we are so quick to judge. Someone made a comment in an earlier opinion that Karla had committed the WORST sin. I'm sorry to reveal to you that you are WRONG. There is a sin that is not forgivable and it is not murder. It is a sin that goes unpunished on earth, yet is unforgettable in heaven. What? Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. I believe with all of my heart that Karla Tucker Brown was born again. Yet to become born again, she had to be convicted of the Holy Spirit to know her sins and her need to repent. By doubting that the Spirit played this role in her life, you are stepping into the waters that will lead you to blasphemy. Be careful! Thank you for this memorial - I am so pleased that someone was thoughtful enough to remember a hero of mine. She taught me how to be committed to Christ with unfailing love that could last even through the shadow of death. Remember her last word? Jesus! She saw the one who had forgiven her when she asked the first time. Seems to me that we couln't forgive if she asked us 70*70! |

| Speak Out:: | Karla Faye took a PICKAX and brutally murdered two people.
So no matter how you put it, she deserved to die. I don't think it has anything to do with whether she was "a changed person" or not, she still has to suffer the consequences of her actions. Karla Faye spent much of her time pleading for mercy, and begging to stay alive, but she should of thought of that before doing what she did. I have alot of mercy for death-row inmates, but on the other hand, I know that it's only fair for them to be punished.(eye for an eye). Take a minute and think about someone you really love. Now think about them being murdered for no apparant reason. Any normal person would want that murderer to die, whether they can admit or not. |

I cannot forget her. I ask God's forgiveness for those who posted unkind remarks here. I ask/beg others of Spirit to contact Gov. Bush and ask him to stop such killing. Remember Karla by remembering that 400 people are on Texas' death row. Karla killed two and asked and got God's forgiveness. Texas killed 37 last year alone. Please write: George W. Bush Office of the Governor Box 12428 Austin, TX 78711-2428 No, he doesn't have a known e-mail address. In Karla's memory, please find a 32 cent stamp and a little time. God bless and comfort Karla's family and the families of her victims. May we all grow positively from this tragic series of events. Amen. |

| Speak Out:: | There is not a person among us who is unaware of the tragedy
surrounding Karla Tucker; but, I do believe that there is a good example of mismatched compassion. The tragedy of Karla Tucker is not how she died- she broke the law and then died by it- the tragedy is how she lived. There is a comment by a reader in a previous column- 'Not one of us can promise that we'll never commit murder'. That is misled. I can make and live by that promise without reservation, and I believe any other reasonable person could as well. As citizens, we have made a covenant with our fellow human beings, and Karla Tucker broke that covenant. This is not a religious argument, nor should it be. This is an example of a terrorist who ripped a hole in the fabric of our society. She is now no longer part of that society. Murder is forever, and no death row conversion will change that. I am not in a position to believe or to doubt her professed religious beliefs. That is an issue between Tucker and God, the same God whose two children she murdered. The fact remains, regardless of any opinion on Capital Punishment, there is one less pickaxe murderer walking the earth today then there was when Tucker was alive, and that fact speaks for itself. | Speak Out:: | Unbelievable!!! I think that some of you people need to go back to what you wrote, and re-read it. Do you know what you are saying?? It seems to me like you don't. You are accepting the fact that Karla murdered two people. You say, "She washigh, she didn't have any control." Well, if she was doing drugs, and couldn't control herself, then that explins killing two people. She didn't have to take the drugs. She didn't have to not be in control. Is taking drugs illegal according to God??-Yes, it is, but it explains why she killed-NOT. You have mercy for a women who you know nothing about besides what you read in the paper, and what you see on television. Did you ever meet Karla, did you have a personal relationship with her?? I can guarantee that you didn't know anything about her own personal life. She has so called "changed", but you have ne proof. Maybe the Karla we saw on television in the past few weeks was a fake-did you ever think about that? Maybe she was putting on the act to try and win the hearts of the Officials who were trying to decide to give, or take her life. Think about the victim's families. How would you feel if a relative of yours was brutally murderd?? I think that you would think twice befor just forgiving a women like Karla-a drug addict, a prostitute, and a killer--which al lthree things go against the Lord, Jesus Christ. Am I wrong???--No. |

| Speak Out:: | Thank you Karla for you beautiful witness to our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ. His love in you was so apparent and I am deeply grieved by you death. I feel as though a dear friend died on Tuesday, February 3, 1998...in fact one did. The Body of Christ grieves it's loss but rejoices in your homegoing. We grieve with you over the hate, anger, and revenge in the hearts of Richard Thornton and those who celebrated your death. We know that unforgiveness is a cancer that will destroy all those who harbor it as well as the other lives they touch. May they know the peace that only forgiveness can provide. As we speak of the Bible's instruction "an eye for an eye", we so soon neglect the teaching of Jesus that everyone who is angry with his brother is guilty before God as the one who commits murder. Which one of us then is not guilty. That's hard to understand. "God's ways are not our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts...The foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of man." Bless you my friend. You truly won! To be with Jesus. |

| Speak Out:: | So many of the pro-death supporters (many claiming to be Christian) refer to "an eye for an eye" from the Old Testament. I wonder how many of those same people refuse to eat pork, and refuse to work on Saturdays? That's ALSO in the Old Testament! They can't pick and choose!
And if they believe in Jesus (an executed criminal who was killed for committing a capital crime under Jewish and Roman law), they should know He said this: "You hath heard it has been said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. BUT I SAY UNTO YOU that you resist NOT evil..if a man strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other one also." How come these pro-DP types remember the Old Testament quote but FORGET (ever so conveniently) how JESUS CHANGED IT? If they dont like what Jesus said, they'd better all convert to Orthodox Judaism and stick with the Old Testament ONLY! And how many of these people who judge Karla have not committed sins of their own? They may think their sins are not as bad, but isn't that what the Pharisee thought when he prayed to God in thanks that God had not made him like the tax collector (publican)? The publican (hated tax collector) HUMBLED himself; the self-righteous Pharisee did NOT. Jesus said the publican went home justified and NOT the Pharisee who thought he was so perfect! THERE but for the grace of God goes EVERY ONE OF US. We cannot say we could never kill someone in a fit of rage or passion, as Karla did. NO ONE IS PERFECT. |
