I just returned from Dallas and am sad to report that Bachman lake is under major construction due to recent storm damage. The Parks and Recreation Dept could not predict what stage the area will be in by June 18th. In order for me to get all the substantial permit fees refunded, I had to cancel my B-Day plans. I hope you will still help me celebrate by going onto the Furry Friendzy website and make a Happy Birthday donation. No amount is too small and it will be of great help to the animals. Just want to deviate from my hermit style and let you all know that I will be entering the hospital in Tucson, AZ, Nov 13, 2009, for a bone marrow transplant on Nov 18. Seems the long term effects of my CLL requires some immediate attention; just found out last month. Feeling great right now (including golf and work) after the last few months of chemo, so a tough call to risk these odds. In any case, hope to return here for some good news on the other side. First of all,I would like to thank all of my well wishes sent during my recovery from knee replacement surgery. But,more importantly today I would like to share a prayer request. Our friend,Danny G Smith, from Kimball who everyone has shared time with this last year. His mother is very ill in Arlington Memorial Hospital. She is 90 yrs old and has a bad infection and pneumonia in her left lung. I know we have all experienced illness with our parents and some of us have lost our parents. So, I encourage you to keep Danny's mom and family in your prayers.

I started grade school at TG Terry, then the district built Umphrey Lee. I attended TW Browne Jr. High, 1/2 of sophomore year at Justin F. Kimball, then my father was transfered to Mitchell, South Dakota. I hated the new school and the one horse town (its now a two horse town).
I got pregnant by David Rogers, we got married and I came back to the Texas and joined all my friends at the new highschool David W. Carter.
