I am writing from North Bay, Ontario, Canada. I am a very recent Yellow Lab owner. Maggie (Maggie on the Meadow) is 7 months old. I have had a variety of different breeds of dog and Maggie is certainly one of the best breeds!!! She is so smart, loveable, great family dog, great temperment and all around wonderful pet who fits into our lifestyle like a glove. One of the great things about Maggie is I can take her anywhere and she has such great manners. She loves car rides, lies down and just enjoys the ride. I love Maggie and every day I think my lucky stars that I have her in my life. My only child, my daughter Erin will be going off to College this summer and boy and I ever glad that I will have Maggie to keep me company. Well Diesel, that's it for now my friend in Finland. | Comments: If it wasn't for the pictures, I would have believed you were describing my dog! Everything from not 'getting' the clicker training (because the owner is doing it wrong!) to being 'distant' and not needing my company, to being so dog-orientated, to overnight relationship changes..... it's my puppy down to a 't' (sorry, English expression doesn't translate very well I don't suppose!). It gives me some hope though, and I will just have to try harder with the clicker!

| Comments: I am John Burke's friend, and am becoming friends with Riko. When I saw a photo of Riko with Diesel, I asked about Diesel. Riko directed me to this website. I love the photos of Riko. My wife, Rosemary, and I love dogs. We currently have 4, which is a low for us, since we usually have 5. My favorite, "my possee" as I tell Rosemary, are a 2 year old King Shepherd (like a big German Shepherd) and 2-1/2 year old Portugese Water Dog. They are great. I am not too adept at emailing photos.
