| Comments: | This is a cool web site. I too admired the Rams of the 60's and 70's, althought not my favarite team.
In the 1976 NFC Championship game, the last minute game saving interception was made by Bobby Bryant ( same guy who took the blocked field goal back for a TD) not Paul Krause. In the picture before the interception, it shows both Nate Wright and Paul Krause have already been beaten. It was then, when Bobby Bryant came across from the other side for the pick. |

| Comments: | I played pre-season for the LA Rams in 1976. As a defensive back from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo I had a lot of competition securing a position with two all pro's at safety position. I'm trying to find any old picture for my eleven year old son. My number was 26. I played against Tampa Bay in their first ever game at the LA Coliseum. There was a guy who took a lot of pictures at practice. I would like to get a copy of that first preseason T.V. Telecast game vs. Tampa bay and any pitures from that preseason. Any ideas who to contact would be much appreciated.
Thank you |

Thanks for the memories. Daniel and Donald cruz |

| Comments: | Terrific site & thanks for the memories it gave me.
Since my first game in '77 at the Coliseum, I have been hooked! My dad took me to that game just like his dad took him to his 1st Ram game back in the late fifties. Sure I was only 5, but I remember, *****! Ant that's what matters! My dad took me to many games at the Coliseum & the Big A, as we used to call it (Now we call it Humpty Dumpty Land) until that woman moved them to STL. I have been a fan so long at sucha young age that I think I will be the LAST Ram fan in Los Angeles that remembers them in LA when I die. A little mad, sure. But I understand it is a business and these are companies out to make money, first and foremost. If you don't understand that, you got some learning to do. LA is a strange place to have a team. Your either a die hard or your just a fan. There are a LOT of "fans" here in LA. I have heard rumors of this other LA team vacationing in LA called the Raiders. Glad the vacation is over. Too many riots. RAMS all the way, baby! Here we gooooo RAMS, here we go! Ed |

Get me a team back here in LA so I can take my son to a damn football game like my old man took me for God's sake! |

Enjoyed all of it. Had many of the great Carl Hubenthal illustrated team guides when I was a kid. I was sick to my stomach when the Rams left town. Every time I look at this stuff it brings a lump to my 53-year old throat. I still may have a letter signed by Art Modell vowing to help L.A. keep the Rams. After all, he stated, a storied franchise like the Rams should never move. And we know what happened in Cleveland a year later. When the L.A. (at St. Louis) Rams won the Super Bowl they were still in their L.A. colors and I was elated beyond words. They're still my team and I don't care where they play. But I'll always have the memories of the old yellow and blue uniforms, the white and blue ones, the blue and gold ones, Bob Kelley, Dick Enberg and even Bob Starr...and sites like yours to keep me going. I took my two kids to games in their last season here to let them experience the thrill of the NFL in L.A./Anaheim before it all evaporated. It sure has. As for me, I don't want an expansion team...unless they call them the L.A. Rams. Let Georgia call them the St. Louis Clydesdales. At least Cleveland got their team back. So should we. | Comments: | Nice site! Although I'm a life-long Vikings fan, it still bugs me that the Rams aren't in Los Angeles and aren't still playing in that huge Coliseum. It still bugs me that the Rams are no longer wearing those great blue and white uniforms that they wore in the sixties when they were the NFL's glamour team. They had some exceptional years back then and they posted some pretty remarkable records. I love those old pictures of all four members of the Fearsome Foursome bearing down on some poor, defenseless quarterback! Ever since Roman Gabriel retired, you never seem to see quarterbacks described as "Swashbuckling" any more. I guess they don't make quarterbacks with that certain something anymore. Too bad.
As a Vikings guy, I feel compelled to disagree with your contention that the Rams got hosed in the NFC Championship game against my boys. However, just think back with some satisfaction that while the Rams only went to the Super Bowl once while operating in LA, at least they acquitted themselves better in that one outing than the Vikes EVER did in any of their four miserable Super Bowl appearances. I remember that the Rams played the Steelers pretty tough in that one and kept it fairly close until the end. Also remember that the Rams have returned to the Super Bowl and won, while the Vikes will never return to the Super Bowl. That should make up for what must have been heartbreaking losses to the Vikes in those miserable Minnesota Januaries. |

| Comments: | I just found your page farting around on the web. Dude, I went to almost every home game from 1967 to 1979, I grew up with the Rams. I lived, breathed, and died with them. I recently got to meet Lance Rentzel in a business situation, it was awesome. He has some many great stories about the Rams. It was a business meeting and for the first hour he and I just talked about football. I was remembering tons of stuff, he couldn't believe it. In any case, I wish Lance had been somewhere on your site, I'm going to forward your URL to him and I'm sure he'll get a kick out of the site. |

| Comments: | I love your website! I've been a Rams fan since December
of 1972(I was 7 years old) and remember all those disappointing but exciting 1970's seasons between 1973 and 1979. I really thought that we were going all the way in 1977. I really did. I thought that we would go into the Coliseum and dominate the Vikings. But it wasn't meant to be. Stupid rain! Next to our loss in the 1979 Superbowl(to this day, it hurts whenever I re-watch that game on VHS! LOL!), the loss to the hated 49ers in the 1989 NFC Championship Game and our loss to the 49ers on December 11, 1989, that loss in the "Mud Bowl" hurt me more than any other loss in Rams history. Oh well, that is all ancient history, now. We've won our first Superbowl and may very well win another one this season! RAMS POWER.............ACTIVATE!!! |

| Comments: | A very well done site, great job. Best cover? the 1946
press guide, no doubt about it. Great picture of Waterfield, but the best part is where it says "representing Los Angeles in the National Football League", never hear that again. Anyways, although I havent been a ram fan since they moved (sorry, just cant find it in me to be one ever again) I really enjoyed seeing all those old pictures, even though Im too young to remember the teams coliseum days. Unfortunately the Big A is where my rams memories come from. Anyways, congratulations on a job well done, I just keep coming back here for more. |
