| Comments: | I am 15 and attending highschool and I too have been diagnosed with pddnos. I didn't find out until I was in the 8th grade and they also told me I was very smart. When I was in elementary school my teachers made feel stupid and I lost motivation and began to fail school even to this day, probably because I can't get out of the habit.
As a young child I had a very hard time looking people in, but I think I have outgrown that except when I feel discomforted.I find it very easy to talk to people on the internet or texting rather than actually talking to people. I make everyone jealous in my geometry class because I don't do my homework and yet I still do good on the tests. My most difficult moments are when I have to explain anything. |

| Comments: | My son is 18 and they believe he has PDDNOS. He has been diagnosed with many disorders over the years and school was rough for him. I now home-school him (he's a Junior). He loves Xbox Live and playing on the computer but has no friends whatsoever. It's because he always wanted to play with children 3-4 years younger than himself and parents started having a problem with it. He also has Stargardt's Eye Disease but it certainly doesn't hold him back! I absolutely love everything about him. |

is like to experience life through the confusion of PDD. My son, MacKenzie is five years old, and was just recently diagnosed with PDD, without ruling out the possibility of Asperger's. I always knew he saw the world differently than most, and I am trying desparately to understand things in his terms, so that I can present information to him in a manner he can relate to. The special lenses and difficulties seeing certain colors is an area I was not familiar with, and will consult with an opthomologist as soon as possible about it. Again, thank you for opening the door into MacKenzie's world . |
