| Comments: | Looking for some "real" information about the family of William Alexander Keith, born 1776, died 1826. Trees that I see online give him as the son of Alexander D. Keith and an unknown Yancey. They also state that he was married to a Sarah Hampton and that they had several children including Katie (Katherine), Sterling Yancey, Amanda Melvina Fitzallen, Martha R, Charlotte Ashmore, Nancy S, John H, and Jonas L.
But... they're lacking in sources. It's not that I don't trust what they say, it's just that I would like to know where the information comes from so that I can see it myself. I can't find marriage records or wills, or anything "hard" to say that these people are who they are. Any help? |

Dorothy was my grandmother and I am interested in finding out what her birth name was. Aubrey was born 1883 in New York and died in Vancouver, WA in 1966. He has lived in Gloverstown, NY and Johnstown, NY. He and Martha adopted Dorothy about 1920 from an orphanage somewhere in NY, her birthdate was Sept.3,1915. My story is a little bit different then the rest. I was born January 23rd 1967. I was put up for adoption about a year later, but this is still unsure. My mother was 16 years old when I was born, she had problems with drugs from what i understand. She had a realtionship with a black man, being my bio father. When I was given up for adoption, I was never told what my real name was, but my adopted mother has told me that the shoes I was wearing had a name on them of "Danny Joe Keith" could also be "Denny"! Does anyone know of a female Keith that may have been born around the area of 1951 ish probably 57 years old. Are you out there still? I also was told there maybe two or three other children out there by the same mother. She was caucasian. I have green eyes probably from her. I turned out good, good life et al!
