| Comments: | Every five years or so, I get obsessed with the Dreamstone. I wrote here in 2004 I think, and am doing so again because this is such a lovely site. Thank the heavens for the fact that I've actually got a real Internet connection where I go to school, so I can work on watching the show on YouTube. (Don't worry, I'm going to buy it and the soundtrack this year).
I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I think it's actually better in English than in the translated version (Icelandic) I grew up with. Then there's the music. I think that I've always been drawn to movies and shows that have good music. I could never understand the lyrics when I was young (they weren't translated), but I do now. I almost wish I didn't, because when you don't understand what's being said you rely more on the feeling the song gives you rather than the lyrics. Alright, enough ramble, my apologizes. I hope this site will still be here the next time I decide to surf the web for anything Mike Jupp-related. |

| Comments: | This was, and remains, one of the best cartoon shows arround. Every episode had incredible music performed by a full orcestra no less, some billion dollar movies would do so well to get that kind of music. the stories were simple and worked so well, Good v Evil, thats the basic plot, and it works time and time again. I loved this show, i always will, and if you never wished that you could visit the land of dreams then there is sumthing wrong with you! |

I'm not sure when I first saw The Dreamstone, but it was back when I was a kid. :-P I really liked Nancy Hendry's (Hardwick now?) voice for Amberley, so I suppose she became my fave character. So that's really cool that you got an e-mail from her! I only have one episode from off the TV, which I recorded 9 years ago - Wottles, and I was surprised to find out that there are only 2 DVDs available of it now. Such a pity. I thought there would be a lot more. I absolutely adore the theme music too - it feels very emotional to me. There's nothing else like it. Ooh yes and great Gallery pics also! Wow, some really neat stuff you have there. It's a pity there aren't more sites like this, 'cos it was such a great show!!! Keep up the good work! :-) |

Sadly as i got older and had to move house i regretably got rid of my videos and it is no longer on tv in the UK anymore. I haven't seen the dreamstone for years and i am now currently searching for them on dvd, so if anyone knows where i can get the entire box set (if there is one) i would be very greatful.

| Comments: | I can remember vividly, when I was about 5, after coming back from school, I would sit in awe at the The Dreamstone.
I loved watching the show! Thankfully, due to the invention of VCRs in the 1980's, I was able to watch again (At least a few of the first series of The Dreamstone). Whenever I watch it, it still takes me to another world. Yet the characters are so believable and empathisable (Well, apart from Zordrack for obvious reasons) Rufus and Amberley above all were well researched, scripted, voiced and played. And the music was just fantastic. In all, a good twist of escapism and a hint of comedy added in, that combination always puts a smile back on my face when I'm feeling down (As it did when I was younger..) To also hear others say the same about the show just goes to show how well put together the whole thing was. Well done Mike Jupp for coming up with such a wonderful and heart-warming show |

I remember most of the episodes that I have managed to record on Video, all that is, except for most of the episodes in Series 2, and 'The Spidermobile' in Series 4. I hope they get the entire Dreamstone episodes from Series 1 to 4, from 'The Dreamstone' to 'Urpjaws' on the DVDs that they would send out, that way I would have finally seen the lot, and it would certainly live on forever! |

| Comments: | What a fantastic site...brought back some very sad but happy memories of my nan. I was 8 years old when it first aired and I still remember sitting with her and watching it. And that fantastic and beautiful song, "Better Than a Dream" really was the icing on the cake.
I watched the first three episodes yesterday when my DVD arrived and compared to the old toss they put on CITV now, it could still hold its own EASILY! Repeats please! For anyone who is interested, the next installment of The Dreamstone on DVD is scheduled for release 5th March 2007. Let's hope the entire series is on the way (fingers crossed!!!) |

Today arrived my DVD of the Dreamstone and when I saw the cartoon again after so many years...the tears were dropping out from my eyes. For many reasons my childhood was very difficult and sad, and the Dreamstone(I saw it in catalan)was a truly help that fed my love (and need!) by fantasy and music (I owe to Mike Batt and his thrilling score my devotion for music). One of the very few cute cartoons that i haver ever could endure (Together with the world of David the gnome for an example) so it must be special in some sort of way right? Sadly i don't remember much from it, but what i remember is great memories and nowadays i don't really like the so called "cute" cartoons they are showing on tv so looking back is sort of better than watching what i can get. |

Our generation was lucky to have this and other excellent childrens TV back in our childhoods, with programmes such as The Dreamstone, Woof, Childrens Ward, Knightmare(Truely excellent),Astro Farm and David and Michaelangelo. Compare this with the poor quality of kids TV now, with poor quality American imports and overkill levels of Satelite kids programmes. Yes, we truely were lucky to know such classics! |
