We got our blue british shorthair (Mises) in December of 2012. She is the best cat in the world! Not only is she super sweet, cuddly, social, and very intelligent, but she brings unimaginable happiness to me and my husband daily. I work from home and get to spend all day with her. She is an amazing companion and loves to sit at my desk and rest her head on my keyboard! She loves to play fetch with her toy mice and chirp at birds outside the window. She also loves to sleep on my pillow with me at bedtime or cuddle in my arms like a teddy bear. She is so sweet and everyone that meets her falls in love instantly because she is very social and loves to be held. Our vet loves her too (he often picks her up and hugs her and doesn't want to let go:) and so does the staff at his clinic.
We appreciate all the guidance and care that Zina and Natasha provided. We have recommended their cattery to anyone who knows and loves Mises and who wants a wonderful cat. Thank You So Much for our sweet little angel Mises! | |

Who says you can't buy happinesss!?? My happiness comes wrapped in two bundles of fuzzy grey fur. Zina and Vlad raise the most affectionate and gentle cats. After I met the mama, papa, grandpa, grandma and all of their cousins, I knew that my Rudi and Nico would be all I ever wished in loving, playful members of my family.

I'm sorry, You are right at the time I was angry. He is clumsy and I guess we haven't given him enough time to mellow. We do love him. We will cat proof the house. till he gets older.Our last cat was not like that. The biting I have learned is a sign that I should stop petting him, I know the signs now, when he does not want to be petted. I'll put a retraction on the email. Sorry again. Also our last cat was a lot older.

We love our cat but he has broken just about everything in our house. Lamps, glass bowls, he is too clumsy and not agile as a cat should be. We now have to keep him confined most of the time.Our last cat was not like this. We can't keep him off the counters etc. Sorry but we are not happy with him. He also bites a lot.

Misha, our blue kitten, has been with us for 2 months already! I can hardly believe it, and can not thank you enough for bringing him into our lives!
We also have a 2-year old Siberian cat - Martyn, and wanted an addition to our family - a British Shorthair. Misha happened to be an especially affectionate and well adjusted cat. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that Zina raises her cats in her house as members of the family, and they act as such! The cats love us, love each other (they became great friends), play, groom and cuddle up together! It brings us a lot of joy to watch these 2 big different beautiful guys, to listen to their communication (I can say, that we understand cat's language by now!), to nap under the warmest and heavy "comforter" of purring cats...and, of course, to take tons of pictures of them! Misha is a strong GORGEOUS cat, has a great personality, is friendly, curious, social (and very talkative), loves to play, he is a sweetie. "Misha" - in Russian - stands for a "bear", that is why he got the name - he looks like a grayish-silvery teddy bear with a big smile! Zina, working with you has been a pleasure, you are a bright first class woman, who is very pleasant to know and deal with, trustworthy and helpful, and definitely very professional. We got our British Shorthair (Winston) from Zina on April 11, 2012. Winston was born on January 31, 2012. We love him. From the very beginning we could see that he was a very intelligent and loving cat, and we are very happy and lucky to have him. He now weighs 14 pounds, and is still growing. He happens to also be very beautiful, but of course, once there is love beauty is not the most important factor.
Zina happens to be a very bright first class woman who is very pleasant to know and deal with. And it is obvious that she knows how to instill in her kittens a very friendly sense of openness. Winston is the most self assured cat I've ever seen. If you remember Albert Schweitzer (Google him is you are too young to know about him), the doctor who went to Africa to treat the poor and infirm had a saying about what relaxed him the most. There were two factors, one was to listen to classical music and the other was to watch cats at play Cats can definitely have a good therapeutic effect. What is the most important factor that can cause a heart attack, excessive physical activity, or stress? The answer is stress. Cats generally have dispositions that alleviate human stress. We cannot thank Zina enough for the absolutely amazing and wonderful job she does! We adopted our blue British Shorthair, Zooey, from her in December 2011. Zooey is the best kitten ever! We love her dearly. She is an incredibly beautiful, sweet, playful, healthy, and friendly snugglebug. Even our friends and family who don't admit to being "cat people" adore Zooey, as she immediately comes up to any visitors, purrs, and becomes best friends with them.
We did our research before signing the contract with Zina, and we are extremely happy with her services. It is obvious that Zina is not in this business for the money - she LOVES her cats, and she raises them to be healthy and socialized felines. I got my female British Blue from Zina this last year and all I can say is that both my cat and Zina are amazing! I have had cats all of my life, and this cat is an especially affectionate and well adjusted cat. I think this has alot to do with the fact that Zina raises her cats in her house and not in a cattery. The cats have all been raised as members of the family and they act as such!
My cat gets along very well with my dog - they are best friends. She is a stunning, healthy and wonderful companion that sleeps under my chin every night and purrs me to sleep. Thank you Zina! | |

Zina is the best!! I have a 1 1/2 year old male Harrie and a new kitten who has yet to be named, female - they are the best cats I've ever had. They are gentle, loving, playful, friendly, funny and beautiful thanks to Zina's care. Harrie and ? are so well socialized, again because of Zina. We did a ton of research before taking up the hunt for a British Blue. We're a NYC based family or four and we often go upstate on the weekend. We were in search of a breed who could put up with the to and fro of our schedule, one not too active and demanding as we do a fair amount of work from our not so large home, but one who could bear the attention of two children, eight and six, both aching for a pet.
Of all the British Blue breeders I contacted -and there were numerous- Zina was a total standout. I can say without any reservation that the little blue brother and sister we came home with (it simply wasn't possible to choose between the two remaining babies and we would highly recommend taking two) live completely up to our hopes and expectations. They are healthy, robust, fun, calm, affectionate and exquisite little cats, now five months old. While researching breeders I learned that purebred kittens are sometimes flown cross country to their new home. If there was ever a kitten who could deal with such a start in life it's a British Blue. We have taken our two on visits to grandparents 100 miles away and on even longer rides upstate without even the slightest protest or sign that they were ill at ease. They seem to relish adventure -the indoor variety, of course- and are extremely quick to adapt to a new environment unlike any other cats I've seen. My husband who has never owned a cat and is a dog person, through and through, is completely won over. I am thrilled to be back in the company of cats and our children still can't quite believe that these guys are theirs for keeps. | |

We brought our blue male kitten home in mid-February and we cannot possibly be happier with him! He is an absolute angel. He was so well socialized- felt right at home the very next day, did not mind all the attention he was getting from our friends and family (he was so adorable and sweet everyone wanted to come over and see him). He was fearless, even got along perfectly with my super-hyper toy terrier dog, who we introduced him to on day 2. He was perfectly potty trained and accustomed to both wet and dry food. Our vet also noted that Zina, unlike many other breeders he has come across, had him vaccinated at the right stage of his development and gave him only the vaccines kittens truly need (a lot of breeders over-vaccinate). He always wants to be where we are, but yet does not mind being alone when we leave to work. We have had many experiences with breeders and can say with conviction that Zina is by far the most professional, informative of them all, and she truly cares about the well-being of her cats. | |

Our 3 hour trip home was effortless, he was box and post trained and not afraid of much of anything when we brought him home - he was introduced to two other kittens (a 5 month old Norwegian Forest kitty & 7 month old Maine Coon kitty-who joined our family just the day before) the day he came home and became instant buddies with the Norwegian within 2 days; they were curled up and slept for hours together. For anyone searching for a beautiful, healthy and affectionate British shorthair kitten, Zina's your lady! In our somewhat extended dealings with her, she has consistently shown herself to be so articulate, knowledgeable, absolutely ethical, and warm and caring towards the kittens she brings into the world and home-raises until they are absolutely ready to leave their mothers, that I cannot imagine seeking anyone else's help in adding a little British shorthair member to your family. She has also been enormously helpful and accommodating to us in our rather complicated journey towards acquiring two adorable kittens from separate Laziblues litters. My husband and I began as somewhat dubious empty nesters who thought that, well, maybe a kitten might be a good idea now that the children were grown and gone. But we were in no hurry. Then we both fell in love with the look of British shorthairs. After a good deal of research and telephone inquiry, we reached Zina in June. Zina had exactly what we were hoping for: a red male, just born, and a darling blue female, already four and a half months old. (We decided on two so that they could keep each other company while we work. We both work at home.) Unfortunately, we had plans to be away in August, so how could we take the female before fall? This was not a problem for Zina. She offered to take the blue kitten back for the month of August, and also bring her together with the little red kitten so that they would get used to each other before we collected them both at the beginning of September! And it all worked out perfectly! We had the month of July alone with Sasha, our delicious little British blue lady, and when after our vacation we brought her home again together with Rudi, our rollicking little guy, they were a loving couple. (No disputes. No territory wars.) They love us, love each other, play together, groom each other, cuddle up together and also entertain us with their antics -- and are so beautiful that guests comment on what good-looking happy kittens they are. Even the vet was impressed! They are also perfectly trained, use their litter boxes and scratching post (and not the rugs or sofas) without fail, and have brought great joy to our life! I give Zina full credit not just for their health and vigor but also for their lovely loving dispositions. Sometimes we sit and look at them together in the evening and ask each other: "Can you imagine we spent $2400 on that double ball of purring fur?" I had been wanting a british shorthair cat ever since i knew they existed. In my pursuit i have researched many breeders across america and even in europe and realized how hard it was to find not only a great cat to spend a long time with happily, but also to find a breeder who not only says so, but actually does care acts upon that for her cats. I am happy to say i found all that in Laziblues cattery owned by the wonderful grandmother to my boy, Zina ! We named him Sullivan and sometimes call him Sully. I was shocked at how friendly he was when he got to our home. He wasn't scared of us at all and immediately checked out his new home. We have always had a cat and most kittens will hide for a while before exploring. He's very playful and loves people. I can tell he came from a good home where cats are treated very well and most important, they are loved. Zina was very easy to work with and persistant in finding the right flight to make Sullivan's trip to Alabama as comfy as possible. When I decided that I was going to get a BSH kitten, I started searching and found Zina on the Breeder’s referral list. The first time I spoke with her on the phone, I knew that she was the one I wanted to purchase a kitten from. She spent a lot of time talking with me and answering my questions. Also sending me emails back and forth with questions and answers. What really caught my attention was the love and the care she has for her cats and kittens. Nutrition is also a very important factor to her for the well being of her feline family. We brought Merlot(Blue BSH) home when he was a kitten about 10 months ago. He was so cute! We fell in love with him instantly. From day one he followed us all around the house. Every where we went he was there by our side. Every time we enter the house he would be right there at the door waiting to greet us. Are you sure he is not part dog? He loves being around people. He is always purring and also talks (meows) a lot. He is a happy, sweet kitty and such a joy to be with. He has a great personality and quite a love bug too. My husband is in the process of teaching him a few tricks. Like before feeding time he has Merlot jump through his arms. Every now and then I send Zina pictures to keep her up to date and she always responds back to me. We love him so much! We were so lucky to adopt our Lucy in mid September. We have to agree with the other posts............she is such a joy. Lucy stepped into our family so easily. Our six year old has such a great time with her. Lucy is very calm, sweet and loving to all of us. She is near one of us all the time. Unlike some kittens, she never has tried to bite or scratch us. We would highly recommend Laziblues. Lucy completes our family and we look forward to spending time with her everyday. | |

Day or night, whatever room we're in, Monty is in it too. He sits beneath the kitchen table when we eat dinner and lies on the couch with us when we watch TV at night. He spent Monday and Tuesday night --- all night --- on my daughter’s bed and last night in our room with us. He has quickly merged himself into the fabric of our family.
For a cat, he's so uncommonly calm, patient, and forgiving. Our son follows Monty around all day and can't seem to keep his hands off him but Monty doesn't seem to mind: in fact, he follows my son Luke around just as often. He hasn't hissed, scratched, or demonstrated even the slightest bit of annoyance with all the attention he gets from the children, even once. Our nanny is amazed at Monty's bottomless patience with Luke. Luke picks him up and puts him down, again and again, all day long. You'd think that Monty would want to hide out to take a break from all that micromanagement but that's not the case. Monty may disappear for a minute or two to get a drink of water or visit the catbox but sure enough, he immediately returns from his short breaks to sit on the couch at Luke's side, subjecting himself once again to our son's relentless (but mostly gentle) attention. There's a strange symbiosis between the two. Luke loves this cat. Monty catches up on his sleep at night. He's been on our bed near me for the past two nights and hasn't awakened or left the bed to prowl even once, on either night. My guess is that he's been exhausted from all the daytime activity. What a wonderful personality! | |

Working with Laziblues has been a Complete Peasure!! Zina was a wealth of knowledge which came in very helpful as this was our first kitten and we had lots of questions. To add to our excitement, we live in Seattle and Laziblues is in New York! The day of the flight for our little guy to head out West, I got a call from her saying that he was sick and she couldn't send him. Instead she had another kitten that was 'wonderful' and if we wanted to she would send him instead. We only had 1/2 hour for her to do the swap and get the new kitten to the airport on time. We decided to go for it as we believe everything happens for a reason. We went on her word alone that this little guy was as wonderful as she said. We hadn't even seen a picture. To make a long story short~he is the GREATEST kitten ever!! Modoc has instantly been a hit with our family. Sleeps with us every night, goes to work with us-plays with our computer screen and sleeps on the desk while we work. Follows us around the house, plays catch with his ball, and comes when we call him. After only 3 weeks he is definitely one of the family. We love him. Thanks Zina!! | |

Thank you so much for bringing Doug into our lives.. We've only had him for two days and he's so great.. You did a wonderful job with potty training. The minute I set up the litter box he knew what to do. I want to also thank you for letting us come up to see him whenever we asked. You made purchasing a cat from you very easy. I found Zina in the breeders directory after I lost my last baby who was 15 1/2 years old..I first contacted Zina who was wonderful to deal with for one kitten a lilac tabby who I name Frankie..they were born in May.. after a few weeks I had thought since I worked that I didn't want Frankie to be alone so I mentioned to Zina, about a chocolate tabby I had seen in photos with Frankie.. and sure enough he was available.. Well I also brought home Johnny.. It was the best decision I ever made to get two kittens at the same time.. they will never be lonely if I am not home and will grow up together. They are always playing and together.. Zina was wonderful and there was never any pressure to get two kittens it was my decision and I am happy I made it.. Thank you Zina for bringing Frankie & Johnny into my home. | |

I looked for a chocolate BSH kitten for several months before finding one at Laziblues. I put a deposit on my new little girl, Tesla, when she was only a week old, and Zina was great. She kept in touch with me through the entire waiting period, sent pictures, information, and answered my questions. My kitten arrived in early June on continental airlines and is now about 12 weeks old. The long plane ride didn't phase her--she played quietly in her carrier during the 40 car ride home from the airport and jumped out when we got home and acted like she's lived with us all her young life. She's brave, inquisitive, and likes people -- she's got a sweet and playful personality, and I couldn't be happier. Zina obviously did a great job of ensuring Tesla was socialized and my experience couldn't have been better. I would recommend Laziblues to anyone looking for a BSH and will definelty be a repeat customer when the time comes. Thanks, Zina. | |

I found Zina on the web at few years ago when I began my search for a BSH kitten. I had never had a cat before and Zina was so helpful. I picked up Emerson at Zina's home and fell in love with him immediately. He is now almost 4 years old and he is precious. Emerson is so friendly. All my friends say he has the characteristics of a dog because he greets everyone at the door when they visit and even talks (meows) to them. On occasion I write to Zina to give her an update on Emerson. I even send pictures. Zina is still as friendly and responsive now as when I was searching for the right cattery to buy a BSH. | |

I have had Beauty for one week, and she is truly amazing. First of all, she was shipped from New York to Los Angeles, and she arrived totally calm, clean, and purring. She sat in my lap on the way home. Next was home, which is occupied with a year old male American Shorthair and 2 toy poodles. She walked right in without a bit of fear. If any one got too close, she hissed for about one day, and then purred and nudged up against them all from then on. Now she just follows everyone around and sleeps with Henry, my male. She eats everything in sight, not at all picky. she is an absolute love, and of course, a Beauty. | |

In the Spring of 2005 we decided to get a kitten. We knew we wanted a British Blue Shorthair and we began a search on the Web. We were fortunate enough to find the Laziblues Cattery. Zina helped us and answered all our questions. She was very knowledgable and helpful in making our decision. We picked up our Lizzy on October 8th. She's a treasure! For Lizzy's first birthday we decided to get her a companion, and so, we contacted Zina again and on September 11th we picked up Leilani, a female British Blue Tabby. Cosmo, our lilac kitten, has been with us for 2 months already! I can hardly beleive it and can not thank you enough for sending us such a wonderful little boy! Ted couldn't be happier and I couldn't be more shocked at how much I love this kitten! As you know I was a bit skeptical because I had never had a cat before and always considered myself a "dog" person. But Ted loves cats and has been begging for a British Shorthair for 2 years, so I had to look into it. Ted promised to do all the "work" and I got to pick the color and name - how could I refuse that deal??? :) From the first time you and I spoke I felt a connection, I could just tell how much you cared for all your cats and kittens, and how knowledgable you were about the proper way to raise kittens into healthy, happy cats. Thank you for the hours you spent with me! Most if all I want to say that I am totally hooked! Cosmo is with me all the time, and is probably the most loving animal I have ever been around, not to mention that he is gorgeous! Our 10 year old Shitzu, "Bear", and Cosmo get along great (Cosmo wishes Bear would play more, but Bear lets Cosmo lay all over him and cuddle - it's so cute)! I welcomed Max into my home in September and he is a treasure. Great personality, friendly, curious, social, loves to play, he is a sweetie. I purchased a BSH male kitten from Laziblues 2 months ago, his name is Robin and he is the loveliest kitten ever. Zina, just a note to tell you how happy we are with our two British Blue cats, Brittany was the first lilac one, she is a great cat and doing very well, the second one, Princess the second lilac is the friendliest kitten I have ever seen, and you have never heard a cat talk more than she does. We bought our first cat from Laziblues cattery in May of last year. He was, and still is an amazingly beautiful boy. Not only is he a perfect specimen, according to the breed standards, his temperament could not be better. He was our first kitten and naturally we had alot of questions, Zina was always available and very helpful. Our next cat, a little girl this time, also came from Laziblues eight months later. She is as perfect as her brother in every respect. When we first visited the cattery, we were amazed at the lack of even a hint of cat smell, the cleanliness, and at how well socialized and friendly all the adult cats and kittens were. In our surch for a BSH kitten we visited a number of breeders in the tristate area, and in our opinion Laziblues is by far the best choice. | |

After losing one of my two cats(also a BSH) to cancer, I decided to get two sibling kittens. After finding no BSH kittens available from local breeders, I found Laziblues in Cat Fancy magazine and checked their website. After lenghty conversations with Zena, I was confident in her as a breeder. (As someone who shows and breeds dogs, I know the importance of quality breeders, sound breeding, and quality socialization.) Now, three years later, we are as happy with our two boys, "Meister" and "Grayson," as we were the day we picked them up from the airport. They are true to British Shorthair type, and have the dearest outgoing and loving temperaments, with people and with each other. Zena was ideal to work with and one can tell she really cares about her cats and the people interested in her kittens. She's a jewel. We purchased a blue male kitten from Laziblues Cattery in August, and we couldn't be happier! He is an absolute doll, very beautiful and sweet, loving temperament- he's the perfect cat.
