i was an artist at the brookings art festival this summer and was lucky enough to have my booth close to the stage you performed on. my husband and i were completely enchanted with you and your music! we bought both of your cd's. i listen to you everyday while bussing around my kids... and i have you on my ipod while i paint. :) your music is sincere, fun and inspiring! thank you! way to go girl! keep it up! best~ sarah kargol |

I've been carrying your flyer since St. Patty's Day along with my to-do list, jotting notes on it from time to time. Recently I punched dolphin-shaped holes in it with my niece's sweet made-for-scrap-booking hole punch. I asked her what this hole punch couldn't do. Here is our dialogue: Me: What can't it do? Ashlyn, my 7 year old niece: A lot of things. Me: Like what? (amazed) Ashlyn: Like talk. M: Oh. And? A: Do math problems. M: Ohhhhhh. A: Or tell you that you're weird, but you are. I had to write this down because it seems that a seven year old has human nature pinned down better than many adults. A Taoist realization in a Christian family. Then I visited your website, which is well done. I tried to sign up for your mailing list, and was unsuccessful as my Outlook is not my preferred method of living cyber-life. Can you sign me up? Also, I wish you weren't doing the Martini bar thing or whatever that was on the 13th, as I am looking for people to play at the Artisan release event at 7:00 for Epic, the undergrad lit mag. | Comments: | Just writing to let you know what a wonderful person you are and to let you know of the beauty that you have brought into my life. Your songs have brought me such pleasure and happiness. You get better with each song...your lyrics and melodies are so haunting and unforgetable. Good melody--even perfect melody--can be defined and taught but superior melody results from distortion of genius. Your appoach to your music is felt, not taught. You build a solid stucture, whereas other songwriters pervert with affection, aping the gargoyles but not the catherdral. You've inspired me to write better songs. An added plus, aside from your music, is your company and your friendship. It means more than you will ever know...you brought the love of music and performing back into my life and I will be forever grateful. The reason for me getting back to writing & performing has been totally because of you...PERIOD! And that I thank you for. I'm very proud to be part of your music & hope to remain a part of it...I DIG YOUR STUFF!!! Your such a gifted artist & proud to know you and call you my friend.
