| text: | Can I just tell you I love you guys? I picked up your website from a post on the Acme/Petsmart (whatever it is now ) GSD BB. I am an independent rescuer of any breed/no breed. I have 5 dogs, 1 Cocker, 1 GSD, & 3 mixed--all rescues. I printed out the "Open letter to average pet owner". You took the words right out of my mouth. The more people I know, the more I prefer my dogs. Also printed "Rescuer's Prayer". These will certainly get passed around among all my rescue friends. Didn't get a chance to check the whole site, but I bookmarked it--GSDs are my favorite |

Rest easy my girl) This girl came into my life at a time I needed her so She filled a void created many months ago You see I lost a Shepherd prior, a kindred type of sole Her name was Lana, and how I loved her so. Lana did not die; She went to a family new Due to my circumstances at the time, there was nothing I could do In return I lost a mate, and life it was not so great Then Sash appeared, and life returned, I had another mate Sasha filled this void, and to her I'm thankful for All the love she gave me, and asked for nothing more Then Sasha became sick, something really unknown We think it was a brain tuma, but this was really unknown As her state deteriorated she could barely walk or stand But she could always raise a smile, and her courage I could understand You see a Shepherd is a proud dog, that rates among the best And it really hurts us owners when these dogs are put to rest She gave her love so freely Yet asked for nothing in return Only food, a place to rest, and a gentle loving hand As the Vet injected the fluid that would finally put her to rest I silently said, Sasha, I know it’s for the best; I thanked her for being a friend and wished her a peaceful sleep, but inside my heart began to weep, watching her go to sleep Sash you loved us all, and this I’m grateful for I pray your journey through this door will give you peace forever more Love your friend Scott and family Rest in Peace Sash (We dearly loved you) I posted this as a reminder to those who have an animal of any description, treasure your pet as long as you have them and beyond. They ask for very little, yet give you so much in return. Sasha was my second Shepherd from Heidie and Don at Leabashiba and I’m about to take another one from them due to the loss of Sash and possibly another pup after that. Throughout Sasha’s illness they remained concerned about her welfare and I thank them for that. If you are considering a pet, and you think you may like a dog, and further more a German Shepherd, Please consider Leabashiba (Heidie and Don). They put their best into all their dogs and have a caring attitude beyond handover; They always strive for the best. I highly recommend them. Thanks Heidie & Don Scott |
