| Doesn't Big Nasty look a lot like Excalibur? |
What's that? There's no way to be sure, as everyone's idea of Excalibur has been different. Sure. Why not. No way, Big Nasty could kick Excalibur's ass! Excalibur was not the Sword in the Stone, as the movie suggests. The Sword in the Stone was a different sword entirely that had a magical spell placed upon it, in which only the new king could free it from the Stone. Naturally King Arthur was the one that freed it, and he eventually broke it. It was then that the Lady of the Lake gave to Arthur Excalibur, which he used then and ever after, until the day of his death. After being mortally wounded by his bastard son and nephew Mordred, Arthur bade one of his knights to return Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake by hurling it into a nearby pond, which the knight eventually did, on his third try. ...Anyways, though, no, Big Nasty does not look like Excalibur. Huh? |
