| Comments: | So many parts of your story, brought back memories of my son's death. Alex was only four, and went to the hospital for a routine CT scan. They oversedated him with twice the adult doses of Chloral Hydrate and Versed. He was also revived, but his mind didn't survive. Like you, I was the one who had to make my husband understand that our son wasn't coming back. Unlike you, I had to tell the hospital to get the transplant team there. I remember sleeping on the floor of the hospital, on New Year's Eve 2000, waiting to hold my son, one last time, after surgery. And like you, some of the medical people held me responsible, since I was at his bedside. Only the investigation, found the true cause of Alex's death. But, I think, as a parent, I will always feel somewhat responsible.
I am so sorry for the loss of your son. His story touched me deeply. I will be sending good thoughts to your family. I know how hard it is to watch your other children grieve. I will be thinking of them, too. |

I have a 9 year old son, Mason, and after trying to fall pregnant for many years I am now 6 weeks pregnant. But I have just had some bleeding so was searching the net to read about the early signs of miscarraige and stumbled on your website. I was compelled to read it .
I know what you mean about a mother just knows what to say to make you feel safe and comforted. I rang my mum as soon as I had the bleeding. I am hoping it is only a threatened miscarriage and will not turn into an actual miscarriage. I am 41 years old so my chances of falling pregnant again are almost impossible. Your son reminds me of my son. Lives for soccer and is so lovable. Your pain is so unbearable because he gave you such joy. I think it is a gift if we can experience such joy in our lifetime. Some people NEVER do. There is nothing worse than losing a child and you did nothing wrong by leaving him alone as he was not a baby and we can’t watch and be with our children every minute of they day. I am so sorry you had to go through such pain but I am a believer in the life after with Jesus and I believe Christopher is truly happier than he ever was, and you will be reunited again one day. You see I lost my son David and 10 mos. after that I became a mother of a bereaved mother as my daughter lost our 16 yr. old granddaughter Cassie. I loved your story but im so sorry it had to happen. It just reminds me so much of my son and what happened in the hospital. My son was 1 month old when he died and I never got to take him home. We were in the hospital the whole month. Then I had to decided to shut the machines off and hold him in his passage from earth to heaven. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I lost my only son 2 years ago, but he died alone in his bed from complications of a seizure he had in his sleep.
