According to family tradition both sides came to the US around 1846. However I recently came across a court document from South Carolina, USA, an affadavit dated 1832, by a man named Joseph Morrow born in 1760 or 1762, in Antrim County,Ireland. He fought in the American Revolution. I am wondering if this was a common family name in Antrim County, and how I might obtain more information about this person. I mention this to you, since you have a wonderful website, and seem very knowledgable about local history. Your website is really imaginative and informative. My family moved to Antrim from Malta in 1964 when I was nearly 9 and we left in 1969 to move to England. We lived very near the Round Tower and my sisters and I used to play there all the time. I remember the railway station well, we used to catch the train there to go to school in Ballymena after we'd finished at Antrim Primary School. I also remember Massereene Hospital which was opposite the primary school - hard to believe there's a Tesco's there now! I was sorry to see that the Council had knocked down the Castle ruins. I had quite a shock when I saw the Brownie Parade photo - I'm almost positive that the blonde girl at the left front of the picture is me!! I joined the Brownies shortly after we arrived so would probably have been 9 at the time the photo was taken. I recognise a few other faces but can only definitely put a name to one other girl.
