My family have finally moved back home to Michigan after living in Wisconsin for the past 10 years. I did daycare in my home for the past 9 years only I wasn't licensed. Now that I am home, I am going for my licensing. I am a bit worried about this and am not sure if I will make out as good as I did before. Aukum and my 2 granddaughters lived with us for 14 months. I work for the State in Sacramento and my husband works at UCDavis, so it was a pretty tough 14 months. It was really difficult finding daycare for the girls (we did eventually find someone). I wish I had known about you then, especially for the Friday evening deal. Ours was a CPS case, so we weren't allowed to leave them with ANYONE except a licensed daycare provider (CPS neglected to run the checks on the few family members who we could have had occasional respite with until after 12 months had gone by). Since we were gone for 11 hours a day already, we wouldn't have wanted to leave them very often, but over 14 months, a Friday here and there would have been nice! Keep up the good work! |
