I have been hurting physically and mentally for years with pain diseases and they have brought me to my knees several times. I have had over a dozen surgeries (4 since Sept 2010). The message God gave you was truly for ME! I can relate to the woman with the issue of blood because I have suffered since 2003. I know the pain and anguish you feel and the why me's you say to the Lord on a daily basis. He spoke to my heart and showed me that He WILL heal me in His time but for the meantime he is using this to strenghten me and to help me help others with my testimony. I come from a very strong Christian Home but even I stuggle with lack of faith. Praise the Lord that he never leaves us or forsakes us! | Comments: | I look on your site quite often. I've even tried to preach a few of your messages. You said use them for the Glory of God and I appreciated that. A lot of preachers are selling their sermons and it reminds me of when the Bible says they are minerstering for wordly gain.
I'm 47 years old. God called me to preach a few years ago. I've never had any training or schooling on the ministry. I study all the time and build houses for a living. I'm not a very good public speaker at all, but when I preach, God gets all of the Glory. I took the Pastorate at a small church 4 years ago, there were 8 people and after a few months we were down to 4. One of the deacons argued with me after every sermon. After a while, one morning I preached "Whom seek ye? Jesus, the Son of God, or Jesus the carpenter?" Anyway, this 70 yr old christian, deacon who knew it all because he was a professor at a big college cornered me after the service and said I was an ignorant man! I said praise God because I'm in good company with Peter & James! Then he argued with me about everything & I finally told him I'm not here to debate the Truth , I'm here to Proclaim the truth !! He was really tearing in to me, when the other deacon came inside & he tried to make it look like I started an argument, so as the other deacon ask what was going on the professor said to me what should I do, I said you must be born again! Needless to say he got mad and left the church and never came back, a few days later the other deacon said to me I should've never said that to him because he helped start the church in 1974. The next day the professor's wife called the deacon that was left and said I believe Pastor Tim. She said I don't truly think that my husband has ever beeen saved. I said all that to say this, the church grew to about 40 people in 1 year. Things went good for a while, then the deacon that was left got bigheaded and started to tie the hands of God. So a year later I resigned. Anyway I've been Pastoring at another church for 8 months. Way , way out in the country, no mans land. the church has been there since 1832, with about 35 people. Now we are running in the 70's! We had Vacation Bible School 2 weeks ago. They were expecting 20-25 kids. I told them I was praying for 50, and they laughed! We had up to 75 kids register with over 54 kids per night! I told the kitchen help to prepare for 130 people on friday night program, and they laughed again! 205 people showed up and 25 kids got saved that week. I baptized 18 kids! To God Be the Glory , Amen! God showed up!!! Any way I'd like to try to personally support you on a monthly basis. I don't know how much but I'll try. Send me letters or remind me monthly. One of these days, Lord willing, I'd like to bring you in to preach a revival for us. I'll be praying! Anyway thank you for preaching the Word! Keep on Keep'n on. I do pray for you regulary! I have known you for several years now and have seen you go through some diffcult times and some good times. This walk of life is not easy at times, and by no means are we going to make it to heaven unscathed. No matter how many people turn their back on you, there is one that "sticketh closer than a brother". We all fall way short of God's glory and I, for one, am the worst for falling short. Jesus is always there to help us up when we fall. It's His goodness that leads us to repentance and although Christians seem like they enjoy to see brothers and sisters fall, the Lord Jesus Christ takes no pleasure in it. Ahh, but he is rich in mercy and his grace will lead us through the bad spots. Keep your head up, brother, not in pride but assurance that Jesus is our help in troubled times. I have only been able to listen to you preach a couple of times due family problems, a grandson in a dent ion center due to drug abuse, our visits to him took place from 1 to two on Sundays. This was the time that worked best in his current situation. He is now home and I am looking forward to hear you preach soon. I would like you to pray for my grandson that he not get back on drugs.
I would like to also praise the Lord for the miracle in my life. On 2-14-08, I had surgery for pancreatic cancer and was pronounced cancer free. At one point they gave me two months to live and the very next day they said they had analyzed the biopsy they said I had a rare kind of tumor and it would be curable through surgery alone without the benefit of radiation or chemo.
