| Comments: | Alex, It has been decades since we talked after one of my four Safaris with Fletch. He spoke very highly of you and your prowess on Safari. My last trip with him was in 1992 when I took my new wife and her daughter on a memorable one month safari throughout Kenya. I then lost track of him, but found someone who knew where he had disappeared to around Naivasha. He started a flower business with his friend Cronchey from Malindi. I have a feeling that the business did not succeed and that John was in semi retirement suffering from bad circulation in his legs. We all age too fast! I hope you are still keeping well and that I might hear any news you may have of the old Africa hands. I'm so grateful we saw it when we did. I'm afraid it is all over. Best regards, Fred Cushing

| Comments: | Don't know what it is about Alex Cord, but somehow I think the powers that be in the entertainment industry dropped the ball where he is concerned. Mr. Cord struck me as one of Hollywood's most overlooked stars, I have seen numerous roles played by other actors that I thought Alex, would have been a better choice for. Maybe it was his choice to have the low keyed persona that he has presented to us, which maybe was a good choice when one looks at the roles being presented in today's industry. Be that said I still think Alex, had the promise of the Gary Cooper, Jimmy Stewart & yes John Wayne of yesterday that made the movies great. He will always be one of my favorites. |

| Comments: | Dear Mr Cord,
I have been a big fan since 1983, when I first saw "Stagecoach" and recorded it on VCR. I now have an exvcellent DVR copy and it has just been released by Fox in Spain as a Region 2 DVD. I have enjoyed watching your progression as an actor through the years on Tv and in the movies. My favorites will always be Airwolf and Stagecoach. I've always felt that the 1966 remake should have been recognized on it's own merits. Even though I like the orignal with John Wayne, of whom I am also a big fan, and the 1986 remake with the late Johnny Cash, it is your portray of Ringo to which I am always drawn. You seemed so comfortable and natural to the role. Of course, now that I've found your website, Alexcord.com, and I've discovered your equestrine background, I understand why. Being a horse lover myself, I've attended many rodeos and other equestrine events, I even went to the PRCA in Las Vegas. I'm only sorry I never got to see you perform in any of the cutting and riding events that you've attended. And also being a fan of the old westerns, I grew up with Gunsmoke, I am the proud owner of one of Buck Taylor's beautiful art prints hanging in my front room. Not knowing about your literary accomplishments, I have ordered a copy of "A Feather in the Rain" and will soon be purchasing "Sandsong". I expect to enjoy reading them as much as I have enjoyed watching your acting over the years. Let me offer you my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved son. An eternally grateful fan. |

| Comments: | I think Alex was great in the Airwolf as well as the other actors. I've recently been re watching many episodes on Hulu, and I found that some of the concepts, and even some of the acting was a bit cheesy, but the series still holds up great. I loved this show as a kid growing up, and besides String, and Dom, Archangel too was a hero to me. Not knowing whether Archangel was trustworthy or not made him a borderline villain at some points and added a lot of extra mystery to the character, but he would always ultimately hold true to his white suit, as a good guy. I truly hope that Alex and all the actors in the series have found peace in their lives and are doing well for many years to come. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank them for the years of entertainment, and for giving this kid some amazing things to imagine and dream about. |

It was at the Canal Fulton Summer Theatre where I was introduced to him and started to follow his wonderful career. I was just a "kid" then too (I think I was 14), and he was just as sweet as he could be talking to me and showing me behind the scenes of the theatre. I knew then that he was destined to become a great actor. My friend at that time was the niece of the gentleman who owned/operated the summer theatre. As a result, we got to attend all of the summer performances and truly enjoyed Mr. Cord's variety of parts he played during that time. |

Grayeagle is one of my all time favorite movies. Never have seen anyone use their eyes and body language to convey so much meaning. Horse riding skills, excellent! So glad you spent time ranching in Wyoming as a teenager and young adult. The interview about how difficult it was for you in the early acting years, gives a sense that you are a real down to earth person, the type of person anyone would want as their neighbor. The world is a better place because you are a skilled actor and stuck with it until you were a success. Thanks for letting www.hulu.com internet stream Grayeagle (Greyeagle). Georgia Mountain Girl. |

Just wanted to say hi. It has been a long time ago since I worked with you last. I was the military policeman that was in Freddy's Nightmares with you in 1989. It was you, Kyle Chandler and myself in the scene. I enjoyed working with you so long ago. I learned a lot from you and thank you for all your help during that shoot. That was my first acting job in LA. I live in Arkansas now and was out of the business for 10 years, but I got back into it a year ago. A good friend of mine (Doran Ingram) will be reading a part in your new project "Feather in The Rain" at the State Theater. He is one of the best actors I have ever worked with and he is a true horseman like yourself. I would love to hear from you sometime. If you get a chance, you can see my scene with you at my website. Here is the link for that: http://deanleedenton.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5&Itemid=16 Take care and God bless. |

| Comments: | Just finished reading A Feather in the Rain - a story of a man dealing with grief and finding love again. It touched me deeply, as I have lost two of my brothers - six years and 18 days apart. Mr Cord so clearly put into words the overwhelming grief that still comes upon me so unexpectedly, even now. The emptiness, loneliness, and fear of having to now make a life without that person in it. But life goes on. And I now see that closing myself off isn't the answer. With time we must begin to open ourselves up and let love find it's way into our lives again.
Thank you Mr. Cord for showing me that. |

| Comments: | Hello!
I am writing from distant Bulgaria - a small, ex-communist country in South-Eastern Europe. Please, excuse my not good enough English; it's not my native language, after all. I was glad to reach this web site. Actually, I have "met" Alex Cord only once. It was back in 1979, when I watched (here, in Bulgaria) the movie "Grey Eagle". It became my absolutely favorite movie for many years - mainly because of the Mr. Cord's role! Then I was only 14-year-old and it was my first meeting with an American movie about the Indians. The character of Grey Eagle and the entire atmosphere of the movie deeply fascinated me. Here I just would like to thank Alex Cord for giving me such a strong example (although through a role in a movie); it really helped me in many situations of my boyhood, and even in my young adult years, too. At times, when I was sunk in sadness, or I felt some fear, or even despair, I just had to remember the proud figure and noble face of that Cheyenne warrior - and I was back on my feet again! Thank you, Grey Eagle! I am taking a keen interest in the real history and the traditional culture of the Great Plains Indians of North America. I had this love for the Native American people when I was a child; now I am 43 and I still keep it inside my very soul. We had here, in Bulgaria, an Indian Society, called Eagle Circle - you can visit its web site at www.eaglecircle.org Unfortunately, it's mainly in Bulgarian language but still I hope you'll enjoy it. I do believe that the reason for singnig your Guestbook would not sound too starnge to you... I just wanted to say Hello and Thanks to the man who played one of my boyhood role-models and favourite heros! This is a gift for me. Cordially, Lyubomir |

| Comments: | I have been a fan of Alex Cord since 1979 when Grayeagle first aired on HBO... I watched the movie 39 of the 41 times it aired that month.. .. I searched for the VHS 13 years after until I finally found it in 1992. Grayeagle is one of my all-time favorite movies. Thank you for a job well done. |

I don't mean to embarrass you but you are very, very handsome. Do you ever or would you ever send out autographed photos, of yourself naturally? I sure would love to have one. I'm handicapped to a wheelchair and spend most of my time in my room. I taped the movie so I can just watch it any time I want, I hope it's alright if I taped it and it's not against the law. If someone could possibly send me a photo here is my address: 4122 Humboldt Ave. N. Minneapolis, MN 55412 Thank you for listening and reading. | Comments: | Been a long time. In 1984 I was asked to service a "Bell 222 for Belisarius." No surprise, I serviced Jet Rangers, Hughes 500s, and various others. Not being a big TV fan I'd never heard of "Airwolf" until I saw this thing! This was the "combat mode" version with chain guns and missle pod under it. The false "turbo jets" were my favorite touch! I got interested and started watching the show. My favorite character by far was Archangel. I never met any of the actors but I recently bought the old series on DVD. It brings back a LOT of memories. A very classy actor, Alex Cord. I hope he's doing better than co-star JMV...

| Comments: | I visited the website as I was watching Mr. Cord on the "Murder She Wrote" marathon in the 2 part show about the circus. It just reminded me of how much I adored him as an actor and respected his love for horses. Horses are on of the greatest gifts from God above. Their beauty and grace far exceeds that of other animals and their loyalty is to be admired. I respect the work he does on their behalf..they can't stand up for themselves so they need serious advocates working on their behalf and Mr. Cord is one of the best!!! I always have to stop if I am flipping and see something with him as he is so mesmerizing on screen and his voice gives me chills. I have watched him over the years in various TV shows and I loved "Airwolf" and Archangel and I never missed it.I do hope he does more acting in the future as we do miss him!! I didn't know he was an author and I am very interested in reading them. I also want to thank him for his choices of charities. I have already spoken of the horses but so few people even know what RSDS is let alone care. If this is too personal I apologize but I was wondering if he suffers from this problem? I thank you for your time and may God bless Mr. Cord and his entire family.
PS: The wedding pics are BEAUTIFUL and I can only imagine how lovely the wedding was in that setting. |

I have truly enjoyed my stay at this site , and was able to learn a few more things about Mr. Cord I had not known before. I have seen him in the movie GreyEagle , and I knew at a glance he was a horseman by the way he sat a horse! So when I had inquired more of his biography , imagin my surprise! I share this love of horses as well , and could never imagin my life without them. I own 17 of them we breed and train foundation quater horses. Mr. Cord is undoubtably a talanted man moreover , and I shall forever be a fan of his. ~AAS~ 7-10-07 |
