It's been 17+ weeks since we picked up our little boy, Major (big name for a little boy). He is all that the books say about Bichons and maybe a little more. He has changed our lives in a MAJOR (sorry for the play on words) way. My wife Jane quickly informed me that he was "my" dog when he first arrived at our home. It was just last week that she suggested that we close up his crate and put him our bed...where he seem to fit in just fine. She loves him as much or more now. Who in their right mind wouldn't love a Bichon??? Most importantly, we appreciate more than you can ever know your facilitating our adoption of him. You understood our retirement circumstances and helped us find this wonderful little companion. Lily has made a wonderfully smooth transition into our family. After 3 nights, we did not have the heart to put her into the crate after her last potty call. I don't know how much they are......but I want to adopt.. I can not bring myself to say buy one.....You don't buy a gift from GOD! Can you tell me how much it would be to Adopt one of your beautiful babies. I was thinking I would like 2 sisters, so they don't get up-set when they don't have one of their siblings with them. I have owned babie's all my life since I was 6 months old. I am now a young 65 and want to have 2 babies to love and wait on and devote my time to as I am retired. | Comments: | We have not had a pet in quite a few years. Wish we had foiund Lily White sooner. We got Sophie less than a week ago and she fell into her new lifestyle the very first night. She went right into her new night kennel and was asleep in minutes for 8 or 9 hours. She plays with us when ever we want and if we are reading the paper, etc. she goes off and does her own thing. Very playful, alert and a lot of fun. Like a person it takes her a few minutes to yawn, stretch and get awake and then it is time for her "morning chores" and breakfast. We currently own one little bichon Karter and we are considering getting him a little brother to play with since he will soon be 1 year old. I have a baby angel in Morgan. She is such a sweet, precious little thing and words can't convey how much I love her. She is funny to watch when she hops around and wrestles with Wallace. She's spoiled, no doubt, but that's what makes her so special. She wants to be held and carried around, which I love. She gives the best snuggles and kisses and is so precious when she tilts her little head for a bite of something or a treat. She loves it when Wallace grooms her face each night and then she shares her kisses all over my face, guarding me so Wallace can't get to me. She loves to hop and run through the house, going as fast as she can. I truly believe things happen for a reason and I am so thankful for Janet, Jim and Betty and Bob for bringing little Morgan into my life, Just holding and watching her is a joy to behold and she's my little angel. Our Gracie is now 2 1/2 years old. She is a precious girl - funny, sweet, and loving. She is a beautiful dog with a jaunty and happy walk who gets compliments everywhere she goes. I love her personality and all of her little quirks. She loves people and dogs and greets both with rather loud and enthusiastic greetings. Although we don't have small children in our family now, I have been very pleased at her behavior when she does come in contact with small children. She becomes very calm and submissive - she seems to understand that different behavior is required around little people. She likes to sleep late, scratches on her bowl when she wants food, and runs to the door and yodels when I say, "let's go for a ride in the car." But when I say, "let's go for a walk," the little couch potatoe runs and hides. She is very nosey and wants to be in on anything I am doing in the house. Starting about 5 pm every afternoon, she begins to watch for Ronnie to come home so she can greet him properly when he comes through the door. Gracie is healthy and well-adjusted. Some, like Lilywhite are clearly superior to many others out there. Spare yourselves any grief and stick with Lilywhite. THEY'RE THE BEST!! Just ask my vet. |

I call him my little doll boy because he is such a good boy and so wants to please. We have never seen a better bichon coat and he's our third. We got another bichon puppy recently from another well regarded breeder, and this puppy doesn't compare in health, or coat/appearance. | Comments: | I visited your website for the first time today because my husband and I are considering getting a puppy. I have to tell you that we previously had 3 bichons (mother and 2 offsprings). We had purchased the mother through a reputable breeder in 1981 and returned to the breeder 2 years later for breeding. We had 5 beautiful puppies and had decided to keep one, however one female had a health problem that needed surgical correction or be put to sleep. We had the surgery done, and kept her, also. The total years that we loved and enjoyed this members of our family was almost 18 years. We they were gone, it nearly broke my heart. That was 10 years ago. I never thought that I could do it again because of the great pain of their loss. My husband and I are now retired, and have been considering doing this again. Although I am a lover of all animals, dogs in particular, bichons are so precious and close to my heart. Our only concern about this breed is the difficulty in house breaking. We had heard the bichons are difficult to house break, and we did have a number of "accidents". I would want to know the best way to house break a puppy. Because we are retired, we now have much more time to spend training and caring for a puppy. Do you have any suggestions. Also, what city are you located in North Carolina, we are from Knoxville TN. |

Thank you for being so good to us when we came to meet with you and to pick up our baby. You did just what the others here in the guest book say. You were so patient in talking with us, you were friendly, hospitable and it was obvious you two love your babies. You're so knowledgeable about bichons - and the book you gave us is so helpful. You both showed us how much you care about your babies. And you still answer our questions without hesitation. Our vet told us he is very healthy. He's so smart. We can't say enough positive things about him. When our beloved bichon, Holly (age 16+) and her best friend, Sable, a pom (age 15.5) died last fall, we were heartbroken. This June, 2008 I started looking on-line for bichons without even realizing how serious I was about wanting one. I found sites, but many advertised they’d ship the Bichon anywhere and some didn’t seem very interested in who wanted their puppies. I became interested in an NC website, but they weren’t responsive to e-mail questions, such as - can I see your facility? Then I visited the Lilywhite Bichon website and it’s beautiful and very informative. The rest is unbelievably wonderful history. I did a lot of research and e-mailed others in your guest book. Most people I e-mailed replied. The ones who replied all said the puppies they adopted from you are gorgeous, sweet, very healthy and the love of their life. I even made a friend, who actually helped with our decision, talking about her experiences adopting a baby from you. I asked my new friend if your puppies are really that beautiful in person. She said they're even more beautiful. It's true. We'll never be able to express in words how much it means to us that you entrusted one of your beloved bichons to us. He owned a Bichon (that his wife bought from a puppy mill) and he said that his dog barely resembled Jamie! He said Jamie was the epitome of perfection in the breed. He said, too, that he was amazed at the sweet, patient temperament of Jamie, given that she was still a young puppy.
We are so in love with her and are SO grateful to have her. If anyone is considering getting a Bichon, get yours here. My last Bichon came from a puppy mill (we didn't know) and came to us at 6 weeks with juvenile cataracts, juvenile arthritis, hip dysplasia and bladder problems resulting in 4 surgeries. Thank you so much for a beautiful SECOND Bichon. Sophia and Tia are the most beautiful bichons I have seen in our area. Tia is a very smart little girl. She is adjusting quite well. Of course, it will take some time for Sophia to accept her new little sister. Sophia constantly reminds Tia that she is Alpha puppy. It is so cute watching them together until Sophia decides it's time to put Tia in her place. We just separate them and let them calm down before starting playtime again. Jan, you were most helpful in preparing the puppy for her plane trip home. Thank you for being so accommodating and meeting my son at the airport. My husband and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to adopt one of your beautiful Lilywhite Bichon babies. Our little Keiko arrived safely in Southern California on June 11 accompanied by my sisters and aunt on the plane from Tennessee. I was told that she traveled the distance without so much as a wimper. Keiko is an exquisite Bichon puppy; so playful; so full of LIFE! She has captured our hearts completely with her beauty, dark, expressive eyes, and wonderful disposition. She is very intelligent. In no time at all, she has figured out that she can get back into the house by pushing on the back door using her tiny front paws and body weight to make it swing open. Of course, I am with her when she goes out into the backyard, but I am impressed that she has learned how to open the door so quickly in her short time with us. She is an amazing little puppy; a true reflection of the high caliber of breeding that you and Jim have put into the Lilywhite Bichons. I really appreciate the time you took with my sister in explaining the care and handling of the puppy during the travel from North Carolina to California. I also want to thank you for the comprehensive book you sent to me on the the care, training, and medical records of the pup, along with the general information on the Bichon breed. Your actions further proved to me that you are truly a very caring, concientious breeder who carefully screens a potential owner before placing your pups into their home. | Comments: | Thank you for your web page it has brought a much needed smile to my face. I had two Bichons from the same liter, Beaux and Lilly who turned 11 in Dec. Sadly I lost my baby girl on Sat. May 31. 2008.
Before these two wonderful babies entered into my life I had Coco a 10 year old Bichon. Unfortunately I lost him and Lilly to complications due to Diabeties. I found your web page and love the pics of your babies. I am contemplating on getting another Bichon or two for Beaux and of course me. Thank you again! |

| Comments: | Hi, Great website - well thought out and prepared. We wish that we had known about this site when we were looking for a Bichon for our family. We are now considering getting another female Bichon to keep our 4-1/2 year old female Bichon "Coco" company.
We have lived in the Western North Carolina (Hendersonville) area for 4 years. We have attended the TN Bichon Bash 3 years. It is my understanding that you are located in the Fletcher area and wonder if it is possible to drive out and look at your facilities. "Coco" has brought us so much joy and happiness that it is sometime difficult explaing to to people. I am retired and my wife telecommutes so our Bichon gets all the attention that Bichons required and deserve. Looking forward to hearing from you. |

| Comments: | After searching for months, I am so pleased to have found you! Your information is very thorough and it's evident that you take great care and pride in your Bichons. I am a firm believer that the puppy and owners have to "fit". I was talking with a man earlier this morning who was pressuring me to buy a "teacup" Bichon from him. Telling me I had to choose her from a photo and I had better do it "right now over the phone" or she would be gone in a few minutes. When I asked about certification and their bloodline, I was told they were very busy and didn't have time for things like that, and that they only deal with people who are knowledgable about their site and who are serious about buying a puppy. Well, needless to say after that awful experience, it is such a breath of fresh air to find you! I hope we'll get to meet soon and adopt our new little addition to our family.

We are SO Blessed to have met you as well as Jim while picking up our little bundle of joy last weekend! He is truly the most wonderful pup! We have decided to name him Riley. I have never seen such a happy little guy. My husband Jeff and I have researched breeds for sometime and had I known what I know now, I would have adopted a Bichon years ago. Congratulations on your exceptional website. It is obvious that much time and thought was put in to the layout. It is most informative making it enjoyable to peruse. Secondly, thank you for our little Sophia Tia. I am most grateful for the time you took in helping to prepare her for the plane ride home with my son. You certainly went over and above the call of duty. For all that you did, I am truly appreciative. We haven't had her for two weeks and already she is just about potty trained. She's beautiful, intelligent, and has added a real bright spot to our lives. Everywhere I take her, she's the center of attention. How she thrives on that! I look at her precious little face and just have to hug her. Thank you for a beautiful puppy. And your support certainly helped us to settle in with our "little corker."
