He specialised in Great Danes & German Shepherds, did guard work as well as obedience, and was so highly respected he used to get flown around the country by his clients. He mostly used the Koehler method, and was an important mentor for me. |

| Comments: | We have had Great Danes for over 25 yearsb- not for breeding but as a pet. Last July we had to have our Gereat Dane "Charlie" put to sleep as he had arthritis and was in pain and we then had him cremated and put him downin the surf at Broadwater Beach here so he could go and find our youngest son whom we lost two years ago. (Some people might think we are too sentimental but Charlie was a real family dog and so beautiful. He was a Harlequin. We have had three Danes that were rescued and they soon fitted into our family and gave so much love and affection. To date, we have not been able to find a Dane that just wants a good home but will keep on trying. |
