| Comments: | My brother was 23 when he died November 14, 2001. He was hung with a sheet in his cell. My mother at the hospital was not allowed to say good bye. Their was only a prison guard in that room. He was on life support. The story goes on and on. No lawyer will take the case. His death was ruled suicide. In Menard prison in Illinois. He was a country boy who was to serve 4 years for a probhation violation. I wish there was something I could do. Thank you for caring about these people who didn't deserve this. This was and is my only sibling. Brokenhearted 6 years later. |

MURDERING OF INMATES IN (America's) OHIO'S PRISONS, BY STAFF To: Supreme Court, State Governors, State and Federal Prisons, Human Rights Groups, Amnesty International, Religious Leaders, Abolishment Groups, Citizens and Taxpayers of USA, All concerned people worldwide This petition is to urge the Governor of Ohio, Bob Taft et,al. prompt an investigation in to the mayhem, and glaring evidence of the attempts at murder, on my life during my prison tenure 1995-2003. and two others, by ODRC, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections Staff. Additionally, certified letters, sent to Governor, Bob Taft. Citing, A staff member stated emphatically. in front of me,and several inmate witnesses. He knows for a fact, staff in these institutions [Ohio] are murdering inmates! Moreover, included in that certification, was a letter from. Lori Commins US Marshal. formerly of Columbus, Ohio. Her directive to me, contact the FBI. after she viewed incriminating evidence I sent her consisting of a ruse letter, composed on the courts letter head. by,Chief Deputy Clerk , Janis E. Yates. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Cincinnati, Ohio. Where she alleged returning" what look like blood" the laced medication, and 15 page motions. Notwithstanding attached to the bag of laced medication. Was a clear, concise explanation, as to the bags (*direct evidence) content. leaving no room for speculation. However, post my release from prison, 2003. I was to discover the foregoing court has no record of receiving the *laced medication, and 15 Motions. Atypical of Administrative Regulations. during my prison tenure, my original documents were never returned to me, nor was I required to sign for them by prison staff. And even more perplexedly, the direct evidence disappeared. SOCF'S, Sgt. Mc. Graw. (female) and Larry Greene have equivocated, as to the direct evidence whereabouts. Evidence which should have been sent to a lab for testing. view this journal site for evidence, certification receipts to the Governor, president of USA; FBI, et,al. Additionally, several FBI offices in the state of Ohio. have failed to respond to these serious allegations. a clear an flagrant violation of our 8th, and 14th. et, al. Amendment rights. Perplexedly,Ohio State Representative, Joseph Koziura. Secretary's, on two separate occasions alleged. Joseph Koziura stated, he sent my evidence in my journal (noted,in the foregoing URL'S) to the FED"s in Washington, D.C. Nearly two years ago. No response to date. We the under signed, demand a full investigation to the allegations of attempts/ possible murders of inmates by prison staff. in the prisons in the Ohio, and other states that provide evidence of the same nature. Which should eventuate to the arrest of. Mona Parks, Medical Administrator; Nancy Farney, Physicians Assistant; Mary Sandford, nurse. et,al. all of, SOCF'S Maximum Security prison.Lucasville, Ohio. Staff members I caught attempting to murder me,by the lacing of my medication subsequenting medically confirmed heart damage.Three unbidden trips to cardiology were scheduled, I refused to go. Notwithstanding experiencing acute heart pain. But to go would have been pure folly, helping medical staff build a medical heart condition that didn't exist. Had they succeeded in murdering me. They would have proof, via medical records. Medical staff had ostensibly, been availing me. You see, I never told medical staff named herein, nor a physician. I was experiencing a heart attack. So how did they know to set up those trips to Cardiology? Medical contraindication provide,I didn't have a heart problem prior to going to prison. According to. Paul Evans, He and. John Peters. inmates who had been in SOCF. suffered heart conditions with the same symptoms,post arriving at SOCF. Conditions which mitigated post leaving SOCF. You the public must know some of these inmates subjected to the mayhem and torture as I was, some even worse,some deceased. Is evoke by what Administrative, corrections staff et,al. And when they are released back into society, they turn on the innocent public for retribution. One man threatened to target a bus load of children. By reason the publics lackadaisical attitude toward the heinous torture, mayhem, viewing inmate friends and associates being murdered by staff, and covered up. Is too much for anyone to endure. complete power corrupts. My son had the total of three trials, with two of them was hung jurys? the third one he was found guilty of First Degree Murder in which he was sentenced to Natural Life in the state of Michigan Prison System for something he did not do.
My mother who is now Deceased,help me to retain an Appeal Attorney for $7,500.00 and got nothing for the money, Could someone anyone please help me, to get my child out of Prison, he have be there for Nine Years of his life for a crime he did not do. He have Three Children to help rise in this very Corupted Justice System Country. |

| Comments: | I came across this site while researching a paper I have to do on serial killers and murderers. I am amazed at some of the postings that I have read thus far. What your guests have to remember is that this man is a cold blooded killer. He was first put in prison for murdering a man he had never met before. He shot that man six times in the face at close range, stole the money from his wallet and then went to a liquor store to buy booze. While in prison he joined the white supremesist movement. In reference to the prison murder that he committed, I agree that the guards should have responded faster than five minutes however, Troy is still responsible for his own actions. In his own words, "I just stabbed the shit out of him." and when asked why he stabbed the man so many times he said, "Because he just kept moving." And your readers feel sorry for him? I am not saying that the prison system needs reform. What I am saying is that you are using the wrong individual to use as an example for reform. Prison didnt turn Troy into a murderer, prison is keeping a murderer from becoming a serial killer. |

| Comments: | I have been reading the things that people have written on this website and it sincerely saddens me. My grandfather was a Retired Master Seargent in the US Army and after his 22 years of serving in the Military also retired as a guard at Soledad Prison. There are monsters in every walk of life, I am sure even guards...but most of these people who work at correctional facilities are good people and they have a very dangerous job! Soledad Prison does not hold a majority of non-violent criminals, most are violent murderers, rapists, gang members, and men who have wasted their lives in the worst prisons in the country and even those prisons have transferred them because of problems they have incurred or created. My baby cousin is also an inmate at this facility, I love him to death but honestly I would feel sorry for any guard who happened to turn their back on him for a split second. Places like Pelican Bay and Corcoran have transferred him out because of violent acts done on other inmates, riots they think he may have contributed to starting...so do you people not even remotely understand that guards are trying to survive the day, make it home to their husbands, wives, and children alive? Would you be a guard? Would you honestly go to work everyday knowing that the people behind those bars, most of them, would rather kill you than make your job easier? My cousin would...if you dare disrespected him. What do you take from a man who already has nothing? How do you threatin a man who has nothing? You can't! I am glad my grandfather Donald Moe survived 25 years of being a guard in Soledad Prison, and I pray that my wonderful baby cousin John Teixeira survives the rest of his sentance, I would love to see him again. | Comments: | My deepest sympathy for the any family, whose loved ones are neglected, abused, or worse.I wish I could say I hadn't heard of cruelty to prisoners/inmates before...but I cannot. The unfortunate incarceration of my 52 year old sister due to a family tragedy woke me up to the horrors that an inmate can expect in jail, or prison. Even when she was being taken to the prison she is in, she was forced to urinate all over herself, because altho she begged she was not allowed to go to a bathroom. She has severe bladder problems. I live in Virginia(amazingly where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence and has produced a number of many dignataries such as him). BUT this state is not kind to incarcerated people either. I was told of a young male inmate in jail, who died begging for help that never came(he was having seizures). I have heard of suicides to get out of harsh , and cruel treatment. I have heard of guards beating inmates up. My own sister is being treated very harshly as an inmate. It is hard to know what to say to console people with such horrible loss and grief. I can only hope that time helps some. I lost my mother(father died in 2001 after many bouts with crippling strokes), and my ill sister was convicted. So I do know what it feels like to mourn loved ones. My sister had breast cancer surgery, radiation, all while going thru trial. She was extremely ill when our mother died, but the judge had no mercy on her at all. She is still extremely ill, with recurrent cancer among her ills. I worry about her all the time. She goes months without a medication(Tamoxifin)she is supposed to take, when it runs out. I have been trying all I can to find a way to get her out. I can only pray she can before she perhaps dies in prison. So once again...I can imagine the pain, these families are going thru, ocer their loved ones, and hope and pray GOD's help to begin to ease their sorrow...Sincerely, Norma/Nomi |

I never knew much about the criminal "justice" system, until my sister was incarcerated(wrongly, in my opinion). I have heard horror stories..guards beating, killing inmates, inmates dying, begging for help that never came, and I assure you Virginia is just as bad as any. I have heard of some committing suicide to escape the horror. My sister is extremely ill(cancer, among other serious ills), and often doesn't even get meds(tamoxifin)for long periods when she runs out. It is totally mindboggling to know how really poor the penal system is in this "free" country. It is horrible for anyone. BUT for the poor, and mentally/psyhically disabled...it is no more than a horrible nightmare. |

Guards DO turn a blind eye, and they think that it is their job to physically and mentally abuse prisoners, when each sentence is ONLY supposed to be TIME behind those walls. The medical care that everyone thinks a prisoner gets is just about zero. No one who works in an American prison cares about an inmate. They can't or they would probably lose their job. Prison is something that scars an individual forever, no matter how much time they spent in there. Prisons warehouse people when most crimes are non-violent and could be handled by other alternatives. It seems the more apt a person is to coroperate in jail, the longer they are warehoused. | Comments: | I guess I'm wondering what you're hoping to accomplish with this website. It's not enough to have some net junkies stumble across your site and leave comments. What legislation are you working on having enacted? What changes are you trying to facilitate in our prison system? Is your group training to become guards so that you can clean up the system?
Someone said that one should walk a mile in the shoes of Troy Kell before passing judgment. I think the same can be said for the other side of the coin as well. There are problems with both sides of this issue. There are problems with bad guards, as there are problems with bad prisoners. Neither side should be excused, they both need to be held responsible for their actions. However, I find that your website isn't looking *at* both side of this - only one side. People are put into prison for a reason (though, I do admit there are some innocents in prison). They're not victims, but rather serving out a sentence that the people impossed. And the "people" are you and me. If you want abuse and violence to end than it's important to work toward a common goal with both side. Until that happens, there will continue to be problems with both guards and cons. I would be very interested in having you email me privately about the exact function of this group and what your mission is because I have several contacts that could be beneficial to you. |

| Comments: | Just Want to comment on the abuse in Salinas Valley State Prison as for I have lived in tears and sorrow for my son also faces the cruelty in which these guards claim to be protecting thereselves from these inmates, when in fact they are the ones that are suppose to be protecting, helping, guiding, etc. My son has spoke out through the voice of his loved ones to put the stop to the hate in this prison, as for the State of California has personally made an attempt to speak to him and find out what was really going on in this prison ran by a man that claimed authority, when no warden was in charge, and yet formed a gang themselves called the Green Wall being investigated for the abuse and misconduct to the inmates, and the neglect and hate acts these guards performed by using the lockdown process for a year and half just to lessen there jobs. For this he is being kick out of the prison and still remains in lock down when the rest of the inmates remain in general population, his only excuse to hold on to is that my son is trouble, and in reality the trouble is what they caused. He is being harassed and neglected. How can his heart have hope, when the fear of all is against him, until we speak out and form our voice to be heard, this will continue LET'S REACH OUT AND BE HEARD AND LET OUR LOVED ONES WALK WITH THE RIGHTS THE SO CALLED GOVERNMENT CLAIMS THEY HAVE. |

I intend to do further research into the ADC and this little project "the powers that be" had. It truly leaves me speechless. Regardless of what your brother did, he certainly did NOT deserve the treatment he received in prison. My heart goes out to you and your family. | Comments: | my son is in the salinas valley state prison in soledad california. and he is being beat up by prison guards, and his food is also being spit on, and he is not geting any medical help, i have had alot of inmate that are there write to me that they fear for my sons life because the guards handcuff him and push him down the stairs just for thier amusing games and his water in his cell gets shut off i am not just speaking for my son i am also speaking for the other inmate in there. and it make me wonder about the country that the president can go there and defend the people of iraq and what about the people here. we all need to stick together to make our voice heard. |

Troy Kell murdered my cousin in Las Vegas and these simple women are writing to him and speaking about him as if he is some sort of Johnny Depp/Brad Pitt sort of a guy. I guess when you're a total misfit of society and unable to have normal relationships with normal men, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy and the likes are a real turn on.

| Comments: | On November 1996 my dear baby brother was in prison in Florida he had Aids. He called me every day to tell me that he was in pain and had fill out the necessary papers to see the doctor. But his request was in vain the guards didn't care enough to see he was in gross danger of his life. They had him lay there in pain and die. After he died a cell mate called me to tell me that they did nothing for him. That he was in pain and they just let him die.
How can human beings be so uncaring is beyond me even a dog gets to see a doctor when in pain. I tried to sue the prison for neglect but I live in NY and the lawyers didn't want to take the case from Florida. |

| Comments: | I stumbled across your sight in hopes that I might find some advice. As to where I could find answers regarding the unanswered questions in the untimely death of my brother. All I have been able to find out is that he died in the infirmery in California State Prison of Sacramento. In august of 2002, after having been seen at UC Davis medical center in July. After speaking with the coroner, I was told that his cause of death was still pending. Do to the fact that my brother was only 24 years old and had no previous medical condition which would have resulted in his death, this leves me with many unanswered questions. I was hoping you may be able to assist me with my situation by steering me in right direction, and informing me of my rights. For example, what information that the prison does have to, and doesnt have to release to me. Hoping to here from you soon. |
