| Comments: | Grew up in Methuen and summered on Little Island in the early to mid fifties. Our camp was between the Bulmer's (Roddie, Carol et al) and the Graichen's (and the dachunds) and directly behind the Ratte's. Fond memories of Pug Roy and his putt-putt canoe. Good fishin', great swimmin' and high bush blueberries at the quarry. Drove in a few years back with my daughter and was astonished at the development. The price of progress.

| Comments: | My family spent the summers on LIP up until the early 70's. Our many, many memories of growing up there are often discussed at family gatherings. I can remember swimming out the the island to visit Mr. Pearson, who would always treat us kids well. I remember grassy island, the house boat, the girl scout camp, bean suppers to raise money for road repairs, the little old lady at the general store, and all the good fishing spots. | Comments: | Many a fond memory of Little Island Pond. My Grandparents,Uncles and Aunts all had "camps" there. My Aunt Yetty ran a small country store that all the kids bought penny candy and ice cream at. Most of the family has moved on with the exception of a few cousins. My grandmothers camp burned to the ground in the late eighties. Having spent so much time on the pond influenced me to buy a place on the water. It's nice but just not the same as L.I.P. Does anyone else remember the amphibious car that used to go out to the island? BTW, I have a few old copies of your newsletter in a scrapbook and a few very old photo's from the early thirties.

| Comments: | I just spent 10 days on the pond. The first time in over 20 years. Many memories were reawakened. My wife and I were very pleased to see that the character of the pond has not changed too much. The fishing seems to be much imnproved as amy and I caught over 16 keeper bass off the dock from 1pm to 7pm (all released unhurt). It was the best day of fishing that we have ever experienced. My brother and his friend had similar luck earlier in the day at weed island and I was told that Steve Hay did the same at rock island and the island too. Keep up the good work, We'll be back |
