Hope you have all had a great Christmas. I've not had chance to get to Singaore since I last visted you way back in 2005 - I now work for the family business www.obi-interiors.com, so I've not been able to take a break for ages - plus my brother-in-law has now left Singapore so I don't have the same excuse to take a trip out there, though I do have plans to take a holiday at Sensosa (one day, if work allows). He and his partner now live permanently in Bangkok and he, like me, has also left his job to work full-time for the family business. They have set up a compnay called Urban Resort to run the export side of our business and they source and buy new products for us. They seem to have established quite a good reputation in BKK. They have developed some beautiful essential oil scents exclusively for our company - urban spa, urban beach, urban tropical and urban garden. We launch over here in the UK in Spring with a range of candles and giftware under these names - watch this space. This concept is something my brother-in-law he came up with whilst trying to work through the Katrina Hurricane in New Orleans last year - he said it kept him sane! new email address. glad to hear you were all unaffected by the tsunami, well directly anyway. How old is Joe now? my daughters are 7, 10, and 12 with birthdays in may and july. I spoke to Tracy shone yesterday and it seems we are going to try to get a reunion for all 1986 fifth years this year, however next year would be 20 years! Amazing 20 years! Life the same here, milking our Jersey cows, by the end of this summer we will be milking 180. We have beautiful views over the solway firth, to England and Scotlands local hill called Criffel. Its raining today but we have had some nicer weather recently. Its a bit less damp and slightly warmer than Lancaster but only a bit! very best wishes Cath x |

I couldn't believe it when I read about your hen night in Patpong and you visiting the bar with the Tom Jones impersonator as only last night my husband and his parents we're having a laugh about the very same bar (coincedence or what?)- they had visited Bangkok in April - it seems the Elvis impersonator there is a classic too - my husband wasn't too impressed with the neck massage he received when he visited the gents though!!! George has started to use marigold rubber gloves as well as our usual contraceptive methods, because he is worried about me sprogging out. Dale's daughter is sooooo tiny and sweet.
