My friend Julie is planning a "Victorian Christmas" wedding in Dec. 2003 and we have been searching everywhere w/little luck for any ideas, so I was VERY excited to find your site!! The ideas & pictures are great! I'm planning to share them w/my freind as soon as I see her!! Her wedding dress, and our bridesmaids dresses are fashioned after the movie "White Christmas"--hers is ivory, mine is crimson red and the other maid's is hunter green. All are off-the-shoulder w/fur trim around the collar and sleeves, and the bride's also has fur trim around the bottom/train. She bought a sleigh w/white lights and will wrap a box w/Christmas wrap and put it in the sleigh to hold the cards. So far, those are the only plans, but I'm sure your ideas will be a great help!!! BTW: the bride & me are planning a trip to the World of Coca-Cola (both collectors!!) and DisneyWorld this December!! AND--they are planning THEIR honeymoon there too!! She's gonna flip when I tell her about the photo w/the magazine cover--I'm SURE she'll want to do that too!!! Anyway, didn't mean to take up so much room!! THANKS AGAIN for sharing!!!! I'm also excited because I'm getting married December 28th of this year, and have only been engaged three weeks, so your page helped alleviate a lot of stress. We're having a more formal wedding than yours--in a church and all that jazz--but we still want to keep it simple and as low-budget as possible. Since we're in Houston, the weather here should be okay, but most of my family is on the east coast--so who knows???? I'm praying for no snow (no snow no snow no snow). I'm sure that you can relate to that. Anyway, just wanted to say I really liked your page and I got some neat ideas from it, in particular the way you did your own invitations and programs.
