In englad the ratings work a little differently ; as a 17 year old I'm perfectly happy (and legally allowed) to read a sex scene or two, but as an under 18, no unmitigated smut please. Besides, I'm no expert on smut ; I'd be no use as a beta reader. On me ... well, I've been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. I've read a bit of everything from Louis de Bernieres (brilliant) to Tolstoy (has his moments) to Rebecca Wells (READ 'The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya sisterhood and prepare to cry) to Kathy Reichs (love a good murder...). I'm an amateur writer ; my friends claim I'm good at it.... Oh, and I've read more fanfic than you can shake a stick at !
