I have a daughter of 16, divorced and like many struggling to work, play and sleep all at the same time ( sometimes ). I must say I like sports, football, rugby and motor Sport. To relax, I read and have just myself got a home computer, one, I can call my own as my daughter is always on the other. I have a dog called, She, yes, She! She, being. She ( lol ok enough ) She is 2 and a rescue dog, she is crossed Retriever and Pointer, very clever, well trained, gentle as a lamb but will break the ice on a lake to go for a swim in mid February. Mental. Her name, well as she was a rescue dog her first name was Sheba, but I had a dog called Sheba many years ago, and I couldn't have the same name, hence She. By the way, my last dog was called T, yep, T. Just lately I seem to be spending more time on the internet, you know why? Freebies, I find them, send for them, save them up and do a car boot sale, ha, I do. So if any you girls want to know the best Freebie sites just drop me a line.Only too pleased to help. I have had to semi retire from a nursery nurse and only manage part time hours, but hey! I've found a new interest on the Internet, searching for bargains and re-selling them, if anyone wants any of the best wholesalers who do "one off orders " again feel free to email me. I must have evry list on the Internet.It could save you a lot of money. I make roughly enough money to pay for all the food and services every week, and it's fun too. Hello...I am seeking snail mail only pen pals from other ladies who are around my age. I'm 47 and married. My husband is disabled / bedridden due to advanced stages of MS and heart disease. I have one adult stepson who is mentally disabled and a daughter (21) whose main goal in life is to see how many elegant silver hairs she can add to my head....lol. I love the slower pace of life, taking long walks down tree-lined roads & seeing cattle rather than condos. I enjoy visits to the city but am always happy to get back home.
I like reading, writing, gardening, cooking & most kinds of puzzles. I like watching movies...preferably the sort that make me laugh or shed a tear. I like entertaining small groups of friends or family...smaller numbers make it possible to visit with everyone. I prefer to attend summer stock theatre rather than large sporting events. I'd rather sit on my porch having a glass of wine with a friend than go to a bar. I like sitting in front of a crackling fire, burning scented candles & playing a game of scrabble. I like meeting a friend for lunch. I like long drives down unfamiliar country roads & exploring little villages along the way. I like going out for breakfast with my hubby. I love working in my garden & hearing the birdsong & windchimes. I still love the Christmas season, though I miss the old days when my girls were little. I love everything about being a mom. I love hanging clothes on a clothes line & putting fresh air -scented sheets on the beds. As you can see, I like the simple pleasures that life offers. I am happiest when life is uncomplicated, straightforward & calm. I prefer people to be the same way. I am hoping I can find a penpal that is honest, dependable & reliable. I guess you could say I was a career mom as there was never anything else I really aspired to be. Hello...I am seeking snail mail only pen pals from other ladies who are around my age. I'm 46 and married. My husband is disabled / bedridden due to advanced stages of MS. I have one adult stepson who is mentally disabled and a daughter (20) whose main goal in life is to see how many elegant silver hairs she can add to my head....lol. She does a very good job of it, too...lol. I am owned by 4 very spoiled rotten cats. They meow and I jump. My hobbies and interests include: reading, cross stitching, cardmaking, crocheting, rubber stamping, nature, cats, weather, music, history, museums, aquariums, cooking, collecting postcards, taking pictures, and more. I would like to share lifes daily ups and downs with a little laughter thrown in. I will also be happy to discuss current events in the news with you as well. Due to my husbands medical condition, I cannot always sit down the moment I receive a letter and write back. Sometimes it might take some time...but I will write back.....I do my best. I'm 59 years young and have lots of interests and pretty much like add different interests each year. I have a very active life, but love to write. I'm in college (yup that's the truth) working on a degree in communications. I love crafts, particulary, paper crafts and jewelry making. Music has been a BIG part of my life, and though I don't play an interest, I love listening to rock, blues, classical, blue grass and anything that doesn't have violence or negative images. I am a 54 y/o, divorced, mother of 4 adult children -1 a married father of my only grandchild(male) who is 13, 3 daughters in college (a senior, junior, freshman- about to move out on their own), hence my silver strands. I have a 3y/o dog (Staffordshire Terrier), the sweetest dog in the world! Living about 1,000 miles from my hometown and I am lonely, and not ashamed to admit it:-) My life centered around my husband and children and being a military family, most of our "friends" were wives of his so needless to say, I lost many of them due to the divorce. Life can get pretty lonely but I am beginning to live "my" life for me now. It feels scary because I am literally staring all over again, but I'm adjusting:-) and taking it one step at a time. I teach preschool and that keeps me energetic whether my body says so or not(lol). I love laughing and celebrating each day of my life by doing things for me, things I enjoy, for the first time since I was a teen. I love family, fun, sharing joy, love, and laughter! Some of my many interests and hobbies include reading, writing short stories and poetry, penpalling (though it's been years), gardening, decorating, journaling, collecting beautiful leaves, feeding birds, nature lover, walking outdoors (especially in the spring and fall), using essential oils as aromatherapy and herbal teas because they're healthy and comforting, painting and drawing, music (60's and 70's my favs but love most genres),and HGTV and Lifetime and Hallmark movies (chick flicks and family movies). I am interested in acoustic guitar, photography, quilting and scrapbooking but haven't made a commitment to them yet. Consider myself a pretty good cook and enjoy trying quick healthy meals although I love sweets. I'm beginning to get into "the green thing" and am becoming an advocate for our global environment. I'm young-at-heart (although I like the old-fashioned ways) with an eccentric, quirky personality. As a snail-mail penpal (will give you my address when you email), I will reply faithfully with long letters. I also fell in love with the decorated envelopes I saw somewhere on a website so expect those;-) I look forward to exchanging recipes, ideas, encouragement, advice-if asked, surprises (like stickers, clippings, stationery, cards, stuff you're interested in, etc.) I look forward to meeting you and becoming good friends. I love to write and receive long, chatty letters, and usually I write 2-4 pages (typed) depending on the letter I answer. I prefer a dialogue in the letters, and I do answer questions and make comments, so you get the impression I have read your letter. I hate it when I receive a letter and get the feeling it has not been read at all. I have a life outside penpalling too, but I try to reply within 1-3 months. If you are one of those who stops writing after 2-3 letters or ignore what I have written, please don't bother to write me - I have had my share of those.I also expect those who contact me to write the first snailmail letter. I'm looking for quality penpals rather than quantity, and I will reply only to long intros. Please type "Long Letter Ladies" in the subject line, or else your email will be ignored. Perhaps I am picky, but I have had my share of not serious penpals. About my hobbies and interests: I think I am addicted to patchwork/quilting, and I would love to hear from other "long letter quilters". I have been into this hobby for 3 years now, and I really love it. I used to do a lot of knitting and cross stitch too, but not anymore. Penpalling is another passion - or better say it has become a life style - and some has turned out to be real good friends. I like cooking (Greek & Mexican food), baking (everything chocolate). | Comments: | Hello out there, I am a 26-year old German girl who has been into international penpalling for fours years now.Since I currently live at home my parents see all the nice letters I get and I think my mum is a bit jealous:) and that is why I am writing this ad...I am looking for a snail mail pal for my mum. Yeah, it sounds strange but it is true.
Let me tell you a few things about her. She is in her late 50´s, married and has been on retirement for a while. She used to work in the fashion field, then for a local Chamber of Commerce and finally run her own company for several years. She has problems walking long distances or on uneven ground but she still can take our dogs(greyhounds) for short walks. Other than that she enjoys reading, swimming, cooking, some gardening, some TV shows, painting, talking on the phone, meeting friends, going for short trips, BBQ in summer, coffee, having some German beer with friends, our dogs, current issues going on in the world, shopping, clothes and so on. One of her hobbies are Wolves, Ancient Egypt and she likes going to muesumes, some of the artitst she likes are Franz Marc, August Macke and Claude Monet. If she was healthier she would travel more but she has been to Italy, Scotland, Switzerland, USA(New England) and to many different regions in Germany. Togehter with my dad she has been to some Spanish islands and to the Maledivies in the 80´s. Despite her age she is never bored and likes to chat with friends or doing just something because she has a lot of energy. But she also enjoys reading a book or sitting in our garden on a nice day. She is realiable, caring and has a good sense of humor. I think she would make a good pal but it would be gret if you also knew some German or if you are learning German. My mum still remembers some English from school but it is not perfect. of course she only wants to write to females near her age with similar intrests. Hello to all, I love this site. I would love to have really good friends to share our lives and family our ups and downs not judge anyone just to really enjoy our friendship. A little about me I'm Sharon 58 years old have one son Anthony who is a Jesuit Priest and he is my pride and joy a true blessing to me a wonderful Mother and son relationship. My husband Dick passed Aug. 27, 2003 we had seventeen wonderful years of marriage, but to short of a time here on this earth. Dick was twenty five years older then I but age was never a problem. Dick was full of life loved to have a beautiful yard loved flowers and trees and we spent many nights and days sitting in our swing enjoying his hard work and would have our neighbors over to sit and enjoy their friendship a glass of tea soda or coffee and our yard. Dick and I were so much a like as we are very outgoing and for me my saying is I have never met a stranger. I really love people and always see the good in people. I miss the days of not being able to stop and help people if you seen someone pulled over on the highway. So sad the world has so many people out to do someone harm. My son tells me Mom you really don't fit in our world today please be careful out there. I'm very open, honest ,outgoing, love to chat, share a laugh, joke, write long letters and all people. I have to type my letters as I have arthritis in my hands and it hurts to much to write my letters. I'm Christian love to read, have over 700 CD'S the music I love best is Southern Gospel, then country and the oldies. I enjoy watching the Gathiers Sat night at 6:00 PM. do any of you watch them? I have an eight year old Boston Terrier her name is Precious and she is that and much more. I'm crazy about Boston Terriers and this is my third Boston in my life time. I hope to always have a Boston as long as I'm on this earth. I use to love to cook and bake but I don't really do that anymore. I want you to know I'm disabled because of a very bad back and have neck problems. I use to have my own business was a caregiver and took care of hospice patients. I really loved my work and miss it so much. I'm saving to buy a laptop as I spend most of my time in bed as I can't always sit at the computer at my desk. Even though I can't get around much I love people and feel being disabled is just a little bump in the road but it doesn't keep me from making friends. I have a home in Ft. Pierce, Florida and since my husband past I have moved to Bradenton, Florida. I have met a wonderful man who treats me like a queen he does all the cooking cleaning shopping, God has blessed me in a relationship I thought I would never have after my husband Dick. I would love to make friends with all of you that want a snail mail pen pal and age doesn't matter to me.
