I am an Italian girl aged 30 (uh-oh! That sounds odd, since I still look like little elder than a teen!), an avid penpaller, a bookworm and a blogger! I recently started a blog I especially dedicate to penpalling. The project is described in the first entry you find at the link published above. Penpals who want to share their idea of penpalling should send me a snail mail where they write about their idea of penpalling, how they do write their letters, what they talk about in their snail mail. They can tell me about their penpals and if they ever met any of them. Of course they can write about their early starts as a penpal. Photos can be included in the snail mail as well if wanted. I will take photos of the letters I receive and write entries for each one of the snail mail I receive for fellow penpallers to read. I think it is an interesting project for those who, like me, are fond of penpalling and it's a perfect mean to find new pals also. My name is Robyn and I will be 52 years old on September 22. I will celebrate 25 years of marriage to my second husband in August. We have a 31 yr. old daughter from my first marriage, a 20 yr. old daughter and a 13 yr. old son. We have a 9 yr. old granddaughter and a 7 yr. old grandson. My favorite music is modern christian, new country, and 70’s soft rock and pop. I like spending time with my family and we are very close. | Comments: | I first started pen paling when I was about 10 years old and can distinctly remember the excitement of getting a letter in the mail box and watching for the mail man to be out delivering mail to our home. Some how, email just doesn't do the same thing for me. I want to see my mail box full of friends once again instead of utility bills and flyers from the grocery store.
I will be 58 years old this month, have a long term significant other, an adult son, and 2 adorable grandkids. I love animals and have a horse I don't see as often as I would like and a dog that I spend most of my time with. He is my little shadow. We all live just outside of St Louis, Missouri. I come from a small family, both parents gone now. I have one older sister however we are not close. I have had to semi retire from a nursery nurse and only manage part time hours, but hey! Hello...I am seeking snail mail only pen pals from other ladies who are around my age. I'm 47 and married. My husband is disabled / bedridden due to advanced stages of MS and heart disease. I have one adult stepson who is mentally disabled and a daughter (21) whose main goal in life is to see how many elegant silver hairs she can add to my head....lol. I am also owned by 4 very spoiled rotten cats. My hobbies and interests include: reading, cross stitching, cardmaking, crocheting, rubber stamping, nature, cats, weather, music, irish history, museums, aquariums, cooking, collecting postcards, taking pictures, Robert Frost poetry and I like to try my hand at writing some Haiku, languages, sunrises, sunsets, ocean, mountains, windchimes, coffee and tea, feeding the wild birds who visit my feeder, and more. I would like to share lifes daily ups and downs with a little laughter thrown in. I will also be happy to discuss current events in the news with you as well. Due to my husbands medical condition, I cannot always sit down the moment I receive a letter and write back. Sometimes it might take me a few weeks, but I will write back to you. I don't mind if your letter is typed or handwritten...whatever works best for you. Mine are almost always typed and always personal. Just please, no form or mass produced letters...I will not respond to those. I do not send them and don't wish to receive them. Please feel free to ask questions...that's how we learn about each other. Also, I will not reply to men, prisoners, and anyone in any Middle Eastern or African Countries. | Comments: | Hello everyone! I am 53y/o & married with 2 grown daughters. I have lived most of my life in rural Ontario & am a country girl by choice. I love the slower pace of life, taking long walks down tree-lined roads & seeing cattle rather than condos. I enjoy visits to the city but am always happy to get back home.
I like reading, writing, gardening, cooking & most kinds of puzzles. I like watching movies...preferably the sort that make me laugh or shed a tear. I like entertaining small groups of friends or family...smaller numbers make it possible to visit with everyone. I prefer to attend summer stock theatre rather than large sporting events. I'd rather sit on my porch having a glass of wine with a friend than go to a bar. I like sitting in front of a crackling fire, burning scented candles & playing a game of scrabble. I like meeting a friend for lunch. I like long drives down unfamiliar country roads & exploring little villages along the way. I like going out for breakfast with my hubby. I love working in my garden & hearing the birdsong & windchimes. I still love the Christmas season, though I miss the old days when my girls were little. I love everything about being a mom. I love hanging clothes on a clothes line & putting fresh air -scented sheets on the beds. As you can see, I like the simple pleasures that life offers. I am happiest when life is uncomplicated, straightforward & calm. I prefer people to be the same way. I am hoping I can find a penpal that is honest, dependable & reliable. I want someone I can share thoughts & feelings with. A person that wants to hear the little details of every day life. My letters will be long & chatty & filled with simple observations. I am hoping to make some long-lasting friendships...lets get started. |

| Comments: | I am a 53y/o married woman with 2 adult daughters. I was at home with my daughters during the years they were growing up & loved everything about it. I guess you could say I was a career mom as there was never anything else I really aspired to be. I presently work a few days a week at a golf/ski resort...the rest of the time is spent helping my daughter with her dog grooming business.
I never had much time, money or interest in developing hobbies. Some of the interests I have are reading, writing, gardening, cooking & doing puzzles. I enjoy taking walks in the country or long drives with my husband & stopping to explore along the way. I like sitting on my porch on quiet evenings, sharing conversation & a glass of wine w/hubby. I like meeting a friend for lunch. I like listening to bird song & wind chimes while I'm gardening. I could go on, but you probably have realised by now that I like living life at a slower pace. I like calm settings...It would never be my choice to attend a crowded, noisy sporting event. Summer stock theatre is more my thing. I would like to build a friendship with someone that is comfortable sharing thoughts & feelings, ideas & opinions...that isn't bored by the details of every day life.
