COMMENTS	I just read Torrian Tucker's "I Don't Wanna Stand by Myself". Wow. Not too often do I find a read that is so strong and compassionate, yet so true. That is something that all "women" want and need to hear, those of us that the poem actually speaks to. And like the ending said, the rest of the "girls" need to remain seated because they just don't get it.

For of you who know her as a famous African American author, anthropologist, and novelist, the Zora Neale Hurston museum is home to Eatonville, Florida. I've been in Florida now for about nine years continuing my writing including my poetry and some anthological pieces. The journey has been fulfilling and enlightening. COMMENTS	Reading and writing poetry has helped me get me through some of the roughest times in my life. When i was 17 i lost someone very near and dear to me. I lost all control over my life within days of losing my loved one. i cried for months. Putting my feelings down on paper helped me to get through my ordeal. Just like it did in past times and just like it still does to this very day.

COMMENTS	So I was sitting at work....bored on this the beautiful Friday afternoon...just thinking about the New Year...playing on the computer and I came across this site while looking for a site that I use to post my poetry on a while ago. I must say that the poets on here are extremly talented...far better than any that I've seen in recent years. My hats off to Mr. Torrian Tucker (forgive if i screwed up the spelling of your name). I sat read every last poem that you posted here. I must say they were among the best that I've read. I loved the variety...OUTSTANDING!
