 I'm looking into black authors of famous Classical literature,& I was given to believe (And hope I'm correct in doing so) that Daniel Defoe was black. However, when I pulled up portraits of him, he appears to be white. What is the truth? Do I have him confused with someone else? If so, whom? Thank you in advance for your answer!
