| Tribute Message: | The toll of being a child and daughter of murdered newspaper heiress, Anne Douglas Scripps who was murdered by her step-father, Scott Douglas set the tone for Anne Morell Petrillo for her entire life. Her suicide was a direct result of her mother's long-ago murder.
Domestic violence reverberates long after the last blow - a lifetime of sadness. Anne had lived a perpetual replay, living in that shadow. Anne lost her father four years ago and an uncle in the 9/11 attacks. When Anne jumped off of the Tappen Zee Bridge, Scott Douglas and domestic violence claimed another victim, 15 years later. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." (Revelation 21:4) Anne is at peace with our Lord and Savior. May He wrap His loving arms around her son and family as He guides them and protects them on their journey of healing. |

| Tribute Message: | Rachel was a domestic violence advocate 5 years out of a violent relationship and married to a new husband when her ex-partner, Bruce Daniels, tracked her down, raping and beating her to death. Rachel's unborn baby, Christopher, died in the attack and her 12 year-old son, Tyler, committed suicide the following year. Shortly after, Rachel's husband Kurt suffered a fatal heart attack. This is a heartbreaking story, but Rachel and Tyler live on through her site, now maintained by a friend.

| Tribute Message: | Viola Kline was lured by her estranged partner, Claud Monks, into a caravan laced with petrol, which he then set on fire and burned Ms.Kline to death in the presence of their 6-year-old son. Monks had threatened to kill her in the weeks before, and people chose to ignore it. A judge sentenced Monks to 20 years but accepted that he was a "loving father" because Ms.Kline was slandered in court as being a vindictive woman who was breaking up their family. Some excuse for the barbaric atrocity she was subject to.
Viola, I have never forgotten your story, which I was heartsick for a long time over. Rest in sweet peace, sister - you should be alive. |
