I can smell the sauce cooking through the screens in the window, blowing its delicious aroma through the back yard. There on the back step, she sits, my old Italian grandmother, doing the rosary, at dusk. Looking over at the tomatoes in the garden growing. Serene and meditative. It turns out that we loved all the songs on it especially...Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey by Lou Monte. Every year we listen to it and play it for someone new who then falls in love with it.
