I first saw the show in March in Essex as it fell on the anniversary of my Dad passing away and he was a big Roy fan and I have his taste in music. My mum, sister and I were all in tears when you sang 'In Dreams' and then we were clapping away to the livelier songs. That's what I love about Roy's music, the ability to make you bop around or be really moved by his songs and you did him justice and I know my Dad would have loved your show so Thank You. My sister and I went to see you last month at the Tivoli and it was even better - Billy Fury act, your band and of course yourself were outstanding and I could have happily watched the whole show over again. Have now just booked up for Birmingham in June and can't wait! |

| Comments: | Just returned from see you at Epsom. Very disappointed as the vocals were drowned out by the drummer; who in my opinion was not very good. (I do have expereince of the drums) Did get better for a few mins after interval when i mentioned it to the technicians but latter the vocals were drowned out again, esp in Drove All Night. I will not be seeing the show again or recommed it to others.
These problems need to be rectified or it will spoil enjoument for others. |

Barry has a fantastic vocal range and can reach all the high notes as did the big 'O'. We were truly transported back. | Comments: | Saw Barry's show at the Radlett Centre last night - which included two spots for the Everleys - and I have to say the performance quality was exceptional. Barry's voice never loses pitch and is a faithful reproduction of the the unique Orbison sound and phrasing.
The work of his band behind him was similarly first class and for those of us who can remember the varying quality of the real thing back in the day (as we have to say now) it was a pleasure to hear the songs played, sung and supported so well. For those that like the music of the man and the era this is a must see show. Truly memorable and so glad I let my wife drag me there. |

| Comments: | My husband and I have seen Roy Orbison and friends at the Alexander Theatre in Birmingham. We have flown in especially for this show and stayed in Birmingham for 3 days to see where Barry Steele acted with Marc Robinson and Steve Halliday. The show was great and we really enjoyed it. After the show we have talked with Barry, Marc and Steve, who we already knew from performances in the Netherlands. It was really nice to see them all again and to make pictures. Hopefully they come right back to the Netherlands, because we really do not have a show like this. We wish you all good luck and we hope to see you again somewhere in the Netherlands. I have been involved in the entertainment business for over 25 years and have seen many tribute acts. When Barry opened with 'Only The Lonely' i could not believe my ears. This guy is simply the closest thing to Roy Orbison i have ever witnessed... close you eyes and it is Roy...yes he really IS that good!Roy Orbisons voice is one of the hardest to recreate and Barry carried it off with ease. | Comments: | Saw Barry for the first time at Warners Nidd Hall a couple of years back. Thought he was brilliant. Booked again last year when we saw he was on at Bembridge Isle of Wight. Just returned from Lakeside on Hayling Island where we went especially to see him again. Travelling from Durham but well worth it and Barry was so friendly after the show when he spent ages talking to his fans. Well done Barry. Bet you didn't know I met ROY. It was about 1964, at the London Palladium. As a crazy 16yr old, I ran through the leds of the policeman, who was linked arms with others to form a cordon to stop us getting to Roy. I was crazy about him, and just went for it. I got a kiss from the man himself, although he looked terrified because I'd started a stampede. My mum threw his autograph away when I was on my honeymoon a couple of years later. All true, hope you enjoy my memories. |
